I have been dealing with this auction for a while. Now all of a sudden this facility is trying to cover w/e dirt they have been doing. The have transferred a car from my account to a friends before with out a problem now they won't. The manager Read and Jack or Jake shouldn't be working in this industry with the attitudes they have. Read anccused me of being a liar when it seems they lie the most. overall they dont do the auctions in person anymore so they lie on the discription of the vehicle. When there selling a car for a low budget car salesman or dealer they don't put the full description. just know of the cars don't match the description or have more things wrong it's an arbitration and can be returned. This car said running only dents and scratches, they took pictures that without a magnifier you cant see any rips or anything. Plus is loud as soon as you start it, how do you miss an exhaust leak in a Honda?

About three weeks ago, I made a decision to try online bidding for a car after about two or three tries. I won my bid or I had the highest bid on a 2008 Saturn Vue suv awd automatic After paying for this, I went to pick it up or have a tow, but I didn't take in consideration that I am tall 6'3". Unfortunately, I could not fit inside the vehicle with my long legs And the key was stuck in the ignition. Also, on top of that when the vehicle was brought to me, it's stop running. Several attempts to jump start this car fail. I spoke to the manager from the site and I was told that the process will go to arbitration. Several days later I was given a full refund that I suggested a couple of days after the phone call. I was very impressed with the customer service finding a solution to this problem and yes, I do highly recommend others who is not as tall to try online auction at Capital auto They will be receiving five stars from me.

I recently purchased my newest car from Capital Auction. My father has been purchasing cars from here for years. My recent purchase was a 2000 Jaguar. The car is clean on the interior and exterior. I had it checked and there has been minimum issues so far. The process for bidding on and purchasing cars is seamless. You have to go in and pay to obtain the title. The location in DC is convenient to get to, the parking is plentiful on the street. You will need to pay to park. If you are looking to purchase an inexpensive and reliable vehicle, this is the perfect place.

Trash "service" blew me off after very few questions. Poor representation of front line service.

Don't ever buy a car from Capital Auto Auction! Their cars only last the commute to your house than dash lights and issues will appear.

Found a Sweet car.. it needed a lil TLC but the main things I was looking for engine reliabilty…read more. and it sounds better than my last, granted the TSX is a phenomenial car.. thats NOT THE POINT. It was WPAA that not only reponded well over than phone, despite my slight antsy and arrogant ass... these guys were the definition of patient, decently knowledge.. helpe dme with a few things that wasn't their problem, gave me a sweet as deal (don't run your mouth.. just talk to them and see what they can do for you) there not dealership guys who run around in suits trying to lie to you.. their real guys who know and loves their cars..and have to unfournately deal with a variety of things.. NOT reading from some pamphlet.. one guy seemed like he slid cars in the past if you know what I mean :-) ... Felt like dealing with a big brother or longtime loving neighbor.. THANKS! guys a whole lot.. and btw my mechanic saw my car and said.. DUUUDe that one is sweet as Sh** .. was that the one I sent you? I replied no.. that one was WPAA (Woodbridge Public Auto Auction..) They do not make, create or service cars to a whole.. there a business, actually selling decent shit.... learn to take care and get your car looked at.. its a Public Auto Auction... and Yelp is trash and everyone writing these salty reviews.. SouthPark was right. You guys got some free pizza coming your way.. btw your patience with me was A1+. I'll be back in woodbridge for sure! Thanks for selling me AMY!

I came here yesterday to look at a used van, and this place was a complete bust. The van I was…read morelooking at was a used contractor's van, about 20 years old and having about 200,000 miles. I have bought a comparable used van in the past with no problems, but from a private seller. I did not like the way they held my driver's license while I took the van for a test ride. My driver's license is the property of the state of Virginia and not them. They give you a printout with a photocopy of your driver's license and the car's plate number. I don't know if this was legal or not. Thankfully I did not get pulled over. While I was test driving the vehicle, the tread came off of the right rear tire. As soon as I heard the loud banging, I immediately pulled over and called them. They picked me up and another guy drove the van back to the dealership with the tire tread still dangling off the vehicle. I saw some red flags before the test drive. There was a white sticker on the windshield saying "rejection." Visible from inside the vehicle, the back of the sticker lists all of the major car systems like brakes, steering, etc. None of the systems were checked off indicating what caused the vehicle to be rejected, or by whom the vehicle was rejected (the previous owner?). None of the vehicles had the safety inspection sticker or plates with the month and year tags on the license plates (this would let you know if the safety or emissions inspections have expired yet). The rear doors of the van were wired shut. The floor of the back of the van had several holes rusted through it. I would never trust that floor to carry a heavy load. The brakes, steering, and suspension seemed to be okay. The air conditioning was not working. The van never should have been presented for sale. I believe they wanted $2200 or $2500. The communication was very poor. I had to confirm once by phone, once by e-mail, and three times by text message that I would show at the time I told them I would be there. Sure enough, I showed up for my appointment at the predetermined time. My advice when buying a used vehicle is to pay cash and buy the vehicle from a private party. That is how I have bought used vehicles in the past, and it seems to work. Make sure the vehicle's safety and emissions inspections have not expired yet (emissions inspections are for two years, safety inspections are for one year). What a waste of time.

This is auction is far from Buyer helpful!!!!!!!!!!! Use Manheim, way friendlier and realistic…read moreabout a vehicle with issues, Arb and helpfulness......... Stay away.

DEALERS BEWARE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS AUCTION!!…read more I bought a car from this auction through Manheim Simulcast (using proxy bid) advertised as engine starts/bad transmission. Somewhere along the lines the auction folks decided to take apart the car without changing the condition report. They pulled the transmission, transfer case, driveline, axles, half shaft, mounts, intake, maf sensor, etc. I bid on a car that was completely assembled with a good running engine but a shot transmission, what I received off the truck was a car that was missing most of the drive terrain and engine is hanging on by one mount. Called the GM of the auction and told him that this is not the vehicle that was advertised to me. The CR did not represent this car at all! He explained that during the live run they made an announcement that parts have been removed. According to Manheim arbitration the auction should not have taken my proxy bid due to such major announcements during the live run, but I was advised to take it up with Bel Air. Bel Air GM told me that he cant do anything for me. They made the announcement during the live run, so as an internet bidder I was told tough luck. After weeks of getting the run around from the GM and Relations Manager I have given up. The condition report is the difference between a 5 and $15,000 bid. These people dont seem to understand that. They are crooks and treat dealers very poorly. Please do yourself a favor and read the enormous amount of negative reviews before doing business with this auction. Learn from other peoples mistakes. Im out over $5,000 in parts due to the fact that they completely miss advertised this vehicle. Will never do business with them again!
