It's nothing spectacular but a mall is a mall. It's pretty clean and has Macy's, Marshall's, and a decent food court... we also did the glow in the dark mini golf which served its purpose. Our 6 year old enjoyed riding on the escalator in Macy's and she'd probably say that was the highlight of our visit. Cape Cod Mall needs to stop leasing to some of these predatory speciality retailers that pray on older women. There are many complaints filed with the state Attorney Generals office, BBB and social media about these retailers. These are generally seasonal retailers that lease during Xmas. They sell way overpriced skincare and other beauty products. The products are worthless but their super pushy, scam artist sales people target older women, often charging women well over $6000 for products that are no better than a $10 bottle of skin lotion at CVS. These salespeople push samples into the hands of people walking by and try to persuade them to come in the store. Some of the names of these retailers in the past were Vine Vera and Truffiorre ( 2 different skin products own by Mazal Group). The most recent store I saw in the mall that is either owned by the same company or an affiliate is a place called the Sea Spa. They also have pushy sales reps hanging outside the store waiting to pounce on vulnerable women. They take advantage of people. The mall knows what these businesses are all about but doesn't seem to care. If they cared, they wouldn't keep leasing to them and allowing their sales people to roam outside the store, physically approaching innocent people passing by. Does this mall even have a manager? I've been coming to this mall ever since I was a young toddler, and looking at it now there are many changes of course with stores coming and going, but a major renovation which took place in 2019. This mall has a modern look to it, which takes away its original look, and to me, I truly enjoyed looking at it. I love looking at original and old structures in malls. The carousel has been taken away, which was a big surprise to see. There are a bunch of retailers that still remain, such as Barnes and Noble, Marshalls, Best Buy, and two Macy's, and a movie theater. Two new retailers to join were Dick's Sporting Goods and Target. Sears closed in late 2018, which had a very long run since the mall's opening. The food court doesn't have a lot to offer when we visited, assuming because of COVID. Hoping that new ones will fill in the spaces. At least Regina's is still there. For restaurants, there are Not Your Average Joe's, Five Guys, Duncan Donuts, Jersey Mike's, and Chipotle. Restrooms are well maintained and an addition to a big modern upgrade, thanks Simon. Take note, on rainy days the Cape Cod Mall can be very crowded. read more

This is pretty much the main shopping area in Hyannis. There is a movie theater as well; and a pretty decent food court. "Not Your Average Joe's" is a Restaurant that is accessible inside the mall Pros: huge Barnes and Noble with coffee bar CVS inside the mall Claire's and Icing for girls/women Journeys staff is super helpful. Best Buy I really like Francesca's and Good Life Cons: it's easy to get "turned around" once inside. The Macy's women's and men's departments are in separate areas of the Mall. There is a Marshall's. It's pretty hot or miss. Auntie Annie's pretzels is delicious. It isn't in the food court so sometimes I find it difficult to remember. Parking can get crowded. -- Other stores are also across the street nearby. It really is a nice place to go if you want to be indoors. read more

It's a rather small mall but there are some good stores including a new Target, Marshall's, Macy's, Victoria's Secret, Sephora and Francesca's. There's also a new Dick's Sporting Goods. I've never found the mall particularly crowded even during the summer. Definitely not the largest or greatest mall but you can probably find your basic needs here. Haven't been here too much with COVID because some of the customers are not great about observing social distance and wearing masks in the main areas. The experience in individual stores is a bit better. Across the street there are a lot more stores in strip malls such as a DSW, Homegoods, Ulta, etc. if you're really looking for a day of shopping don't forget to check these out too. read more

I like it and if you are on vacation in the area and it is rainy out this is an excellent option The look of the mall is nice and modern and there are plenty of stores to shop at as well as refreshment options. There are alot of retail stores some of which include Macy's, Sears, Best Buy and Barnes and Nobles. In terms of food..many a chain restaurant! For example you have Chick-fil-a, Chipotle, Five Guys and Duncan Donuts to name a few. There are also a yogurt store, a sandwich shop and probably more places I'm forgetting. And There are also plenty of entertainment options including a movie theater, a game shop, and a carousel. All in all it's a nice place to spend some time while on the Cape. read more

It was a cold and rainy day during our vacation in Cape Cod, and we were in need of something to do. The mall was one of the few things within a reasonable driving distance from us, so we just went with it. This mall is pretty typical but is pretty large and has a lot of different stores. Of course, it's aimed towards tourists but not in a super tacky way. They've got an awesome "Dave and Busters" type arcade inside that I wish we would've had enough time for. They've also got a "Virtual Reality Experience" place where you put on those VR goggles and play games, which looked pretty cool too. In addition, they've got a good sized CVS in the mall too, which was convenient when we needed to get toiletries and whatnot for our trip. It's a great mall to check out if you're also in need of an indoors activity while in Cape Cod. read more

I go here regularly for shopping and hanging out. It definitely needs improvement as some of the stores have either closed or been replaced with stores that don't last very long. The arcade and target and Barnes and noble are great places to shop though. May I suggest they add a build a bear workshop? Maybe that would bring in more families and people to the mall. read more

In the summer, the mall is a pain; I mean all malls are pains but with all the people, ick. So when I'm down the house in September, October, November..etc it's nice to not have it so crazy. Oh and when it rains, where do people always go? The mall.. or the movies. Right, well they have them both, derr the mall has a movie theater. Crazy, I know. So it gets pretty busy so be prepared. Lots of great stores here though; B&N, VS, Forever 21, Macys, Hot Topic is an old personal favorite (I can't help myself looking at what I *used* to shop at!), a huge Gap; good stores; which is a positive draw to the Cape Cod Mall. It's a mall. And if you are on vacation, you should NOT be stepping foot in a money pit like this one. Yes, it has many stores and is very clean but why would you want to waste time inside a mall?! On rainy days and overly hot weather, this place is swarming with pastel wearing Cape people, and I highly advise to steer clear. Having grown up in Falmouth the Cape Cod Mall has been my go-to mall and whenever we visit Hyannis we drop by. This mall has all the stores you need and the parking here isn't a nightmare like some of the other malls off Cape. Unfortunately, this mall is too small to support locals--nevermind the tourists in the summer. The Cape Cod Mall peaked shortly after it was remodeled in the late 90s. It's an ok place to catch a movie or buy something you need, but I would avoid it otherwise. I'm not quite sure how to address this mall's problems since it seems Iike a scaled down version of a normal mall (there's even a cute, small "Mac Express" Apple store spinoff). The Cape Cod Mall would need to be remodeled again, but I am not sure how they can expand at the current location. Maybe two levels and a parking garage? For serenity, I recommend going to the 2nd level of Barnes and Noble, away from the kids section. That's the only safe place in the entire mall. As soon as people stop buying books (or Nooks) entirely, we are screwed. On the plus side, the Cape Cod Mall does have a good sampling of stores including J. Crew, Banana Republic, Gap, (a sad and diluted) Newbury Comics, and Victoria's Secret. Chipotle, Regina Pizzeria, and Dunkin Donuts highlight the food/drink options. There's also a couple of restaurants (a new Irish pub just opened in the old TGI Fridays spot), but Not Your Average Joe's is likely the only restaurant that will continue to survive for a while. read more

How many times when I was a teenager did I spend a weekend evening "walking the mall," lap after lap trying to be seen and see who else was about. In the 80s there REALLY wasnt anywhere else to hang out. The Cape Cod Mall is a standard, up to date mall with all the typical stores you might need. For me, the mall is somewhere to go, get what you need, and leave. In this way, Cape Cods fits the bill. Its not too big to be overwhelming, its clean and modern and has a few decent food options. I for one imagine I will be visiting it semi regularly for many years to come. read more

This place has come a long way! When I was growing up on the cape, this place had 2 Friendlys under 1 roof!! Why? I don't know, but it was good if you really wanted ice cream. You can't smoke inside anymore, and there isn't any shag carpeting, but they've really tried to bring this mall into the 20th century, so while it's no copley place, it is appropriate for its audience and a long way from what it used to be! read more

I have been coming to the Cape Cod Mall ever since 1986 since I first came to the Cape and I have seen the changes made from really dark to bright and also from less stores to more stores! i even worked at the Mall from 2000 to 2002 at Mrs. Fields and I really enjoyed it very much! I just love the Mall very much! My Mom also loves coming to the Mall whenever she comes to visit from Germany! What follows is an article from the Provincetown Banner in July 2018. The same guy who owns the PTown store is now operating at the Cape Cod Mall in a storefront called Life Benefits/Hot Brush LLC selling Truffoire products. Cape Cod Mall should vet their store operators!! There is something fishy going on at Lionesse Beauty Bar, and it's not just the crushed pearls in the eye cream. Provincetown visitor Jill Titus went into the 347 Commercial St. store and came out 20 minutes later, having received an under-eye treatment on one side of her face. Titus "loved" with the effects, but she was not thrilled with the price. At first, a salesperson told Titus that the eye cream cost $1,000 online. Then the employee said that the price could be lowered to $400. When Titus said she still did not want to purchase the product, the employee again dropped the price to $209. Chris Affleck, of Truro, had a similar experience and left the store dismayed. She described Lionesse's street vending as "high pressure" and "very aggressive." Employees stand outside the store, calling out to pedestrians passing by and handing out samples of their products. Affleck said she had even observed employees going up to a car window to distribute samples. During her visit to Lionesse, a salesperson dropped the price of the eye cream from $1,000 to $500. The expense, she was told, was due to the ground pearls in the formula. "Right away, I was suspicious," Affleck said. Michou Jewelry designer Michele Sonner sat across the street from Lionesse for several days last week while vending her jewelry. Having observed the activities at Lionesse, Sonner said that employees "make people sit down so it's harder for them to leave. It's a hard sell. This is a classy part of town with nice galleries--you want people to be able to relax," she said. But Sonner thinks the atmosphere Lionesse creates is disruptive and disrespectful. "They treat women horribly. It's disgusting," she said. Lionesse corporate marketer John Thomas said that the company is based in Los Angeles and sells wholesale to retail stores, for which they take no responsibility. "The retail stores are independently owned and operated. We have no affiliation on the ground," he said, adding that the L.A. office does not have any role in hiring or training employees. Lionesse distributes its products to retail stores across the nation. Lionesse Beauty Bar owner Betuel Chordekar opened the store in Provincetown this summer. Previously, Chordekar owned a beauty store in the Chestnut Hill Mall in Newton. Chordekar said that his employees are "local, from the Cape." He said he was "surprised and shocked" that anyone had complained about his employees' sales tactics, saying the complaints were "ridiculous." Chordekar did not directly respond to questions about employee training or the sales tactics. When asked about the dramatic variations in prices at the Provincetown location, Thomas said that "the retail locations determine their own pricing. With the exception of our website, we don't dictate any sale policy to the stores." Lionesse has several lines of skin care, each with its own precious gem ground into the formula. Thomas explained that the high prices of the products are due to the inclusion of these precious gems, which "have been historically known for quite some time to provide added benefits. In some cases, that's spiritual, and in others it's physical," he said. Board certified dermatologist Papri Sarkar, of Brookline, wrote in an email that pearls may have a short-term effect to make eyes appear younger. "It's possible that there is a temporary whitening and softening effect on the skin. This is because pearls can be milled into a very soft, white powder. You can get similar results with other powders and they only last as long as the product is on the skin," she wrote. In cell culture, pearl extract "was found to increase the migration of fibroblasts (the cells that make collagen) and collagen production," she wrote. Collagen is a protein used to treat wrinkles and other signs of aging. However, a comprehensive clinical study on patients to test the impact of pearl powder on human skin has not been published in scientific literature. "I don't think it's worth it to buy a cream or powder simply because it contains diamond powder and more rigorous studies need to be done on pearl powder," Sarkar wrote. When asked about the widely fluctuating price of Lionesse products and their divergence from prices listed online, local store owner Chordekar said that "as store operators, we're allowed to run promotions. July 4 was a promotion. Last week was a different promotion. There's nothing wrong with that." Affleck thinks Lionesse does not suit the character of Provincetown. "They tell people that they need to be improved," she said of the sales pitch. "That isn't the Ptown I know." read more

First things first: This is one of those "alive" malls that are becoming fewer in number, and shows no sign of dying anytime soon. Has most of the shops you'd expect in a mall, and Target is opening there in 2019, so that will be another plus, along with the great "Ten Pin Eatery". read more

I used to love this mall and take the hour drive to visit at least twice a year.. but over the past few visits I've noticed a very sad decline in this mall.. and most malls, actually.. I was there yesterday and one of the few stores I needed (bath and body works) was closed because they were moving. I couldn't find the Spencer's or FYE so i'm assuming they're long gone.. It was nice to see a Newbury Comics and thank god the Barnes and Noble is still there! The mall itself is clean, security is visible so its a safe mall.. the average variety of stores just like every other mall in New England. The Not your average Joe's restaurant is a great addition and I was glad to see the movie theatre was still there. The food court wasn't bad, again just like every other mall in New England. Its nice having a Marshall's in the mall, that's always been a favorite of mine. and Hannoush. It looks like they're trying to revitalize this mall.. i'll give it another chance, its a great area and it has potential.. and one of the few malls that still has a CVS in it! If you were expecting a shopping experience with a Nordstom , along with a Cheese Cake and other upscale stores you might be disappointed. Although plenty of ocean is nearby this is Cape Cod, not Palm Beach. The Cape Cod Mall was built around 1970 when single level malls were popular. The stores for the most part draw middle class shoppers. Currently, Marshalls, and Macy's, and Best Buy anchor the mall. Sears will soon be replaced by Cape Cod's first Target. A two level Barnes and Nobles with fully stocked media department (cds and dvds) and Starbucks Cafe are located here. For eating options a Not Your Average Joes, a north east restaurant chain, offers meals a step of from the national casual chain eateries. Unfortunately, the food court had only a few options because of current vacancies. In closing, this may not be a destination mall. Yet, as many yelp reviewers have stated as Cape Cod's only enclosed mall this is a great place for locals or tourists to spend time on cold winter evenings or rainy summer days. read more

The mall is not handicap accessible! The only automatic doors are next to Barnes and Noble and there are only two handicap parking spaces at that entrance. I take my Mom who is in a wheelchair and trying to open doors, keep them open and push a wheelchair through is impossible. I don't know how they get away with it. Macy's is split up with different departments located at different ends of the mall. Food court, if you can call it that, is a joke. Considering this is the only major shopping area on Cape Cod, it's pretty pathetic. read more

This mall used to be okay until they allowed all those awful pushy vendors selling cheap cosmetics and dead-sea scrub bath salts and hair straighteners in. Who wants to be harassed as they're walking in a mall? They constant "May I ask you a question? and "Excuse me?" Ugh. It's just so annoying. And once they lure their victim into their den, they scam them for hundreds if not thousands of dollars. I can't believe that Simons Malls tolerates this. Went here on a rainy day that we had on vacation. It is a mall. No grand expectations. My toddlers love the merry go round and we shopped a little. The mall was pretty clean except for the REALLY gross bathroom at Macys. Small arcade that the kids had fun at. Crazy security following us around on their segways. So annoying.
