I asked the rude receptionist 2 times if I was coming up. I also asked if I could switch to a scheduled time, now that it's over 2 hours. The receptionist response is now I will still have to wait a while, even if she puts me in a scheduled spot over a hour from now. Lesson learned, schedule before you go. because instead of being accommodated into a scheduled opening. They leave you as a walk in. and you wait for hours. Incorrect Diagnosis and Dismissive Rude Response by Dr. Tommy Hooper…read more It's a shame I'm having to write this as we have been patients of Complete Health Clinics across the Nashville area for over 12 years now, but this experience will be putting an end to that. My 16-year-old son was seen by Dr. Hooper for persistent fever, severe frontal headache, extreme fatigue, drainage, and over 10 days of symptoms. When I asked about the possibility of bacterial sinusitis, the provider dismissed the concern solely because flu, COVID, and strep tests were negative (which could have been false based on the delayed testing timeline). He stated that meant it could not be bacterial and declined antibiotics but offered a steroid shot. When I respectfully questioned the reasoning, we were told we could leave as he opened our door to show us out and instructed us to go get our steroid and antibiotics somewhere else. We sought a second opinion the same day, and he was diagnosed with acute bacterial sinusitis and started on antibiotics. I understand the importance of antibiotic stewardship. However, dismissing concerns without discussion and responding defensively when a parent asks questions was disappointing. I hope future patients feel heard and respected.

I found the previous review to be the exact opposite of my interactions with Mendy Hicks N.P she has listened to all of my complaints, made referrals where appropriate. My only complaint is that I would like to meet the supervising physician just to get the opportunity to see the person that is ultimately responsible for my medical care.

The second I was wheeled into the ER doors the woman behind the desk showed me kindness and immediately got me back to be assessed. The nurses who did my intake were really kind and reassuring. I was in a lot of pain and very anxious as well. Dr. Matt Chandler saw me right away and made sure I got X-rays and medication for the pain. It did take quite a wait for the xray tech but once she came to get me I think I was in an out of imaging in less than 10mins. The x-ray tech was really nice as well. Once I was back in waiting the doc came to see me and I have to say he is excellent. He has very good bedside manner and I could tell he genuinely cared for my well being. After going over X-rays and follow up instructions I was fitted for my boot and the girl who did it was awesome. I am still in a lot of pain despite the meds but she was able to get it on really gently with minimal discomfort to my already swollen foot. I'm really pleased with the level of care I received and the guidance on orthopedics and follow ups. I hope to not ever have to return the to emergency department for an injury or illness but if I did I would be relieved for it to be at Jennie Stuart and especially in the hands of Dr. Chandler!
