We'd already had plans drawn…read moreup by an architect friend and the point of the remodel was to remove the original brick and concrete entry, that was falling in due to ice heaving, and replace it with a wooden deck with storage underneath. We'd taken care of the demo and landscaping to prep the site. Chad and his crew took it from there and did a really fabulous job. We have a challenging site because of heavy clay soil and large tree roots. They carefully set the posts and quickly got to work - late in the fall - on putting up the structure. The deck went up quickly and they did everything - including the horizontal privacy cladding, a custom bumpout to integrate the new deck into the 70s house, a custom double swing door to access the storage space, and a custom railing using wire panel - exactly to spec and with a high degree of craftsmanship. Chad and his crew were always timely, courteous, and did a great job cleaning up the worksite each day. We really appreciate the great work they did and have already been so thankful to finally be able to store some unsightly items out of the way and can't wait until spring when we paint the house and stain the deck. Finally, as a female homeowner, I really appreciated that they recognized that I was the person in the equation who cared most about the outcome of the project, who had the strongest viewpoints on the design decisions, and who needed to be consulted as the project went along. This is not always the case and it's refreshing to work with a crew who doesn't ignore "the wife."

Last winter 2025 we asked Chuck Ellis from Robideau to change out a fireplace from wood to gas,…read moretake down a popcorn ceiling and put in LVT flooring in our Famiiy Room. We are So pleased with the outcome. We asked him to raise the fireplace box so its more visible from the dining space-we love the added hearth for added seating space. The flooring base is concrete and they needed to even out some cracks. Great attention to detail. Chuck was only a little irritated with me when I requested taking down the popcorn ceiling after they had installed the new fireplace. This is the 5th project we have had Chuck do inside and outside of our home. Thanks SO much!!

Kyle wore a mask, but that was about all he got right. His "mitigation" consisted of spraying the…read moreareas affected by the sewer backup, removing the soaked carpet, and folding up the small rug that also got soaked. He did not do anything about either the closet that had had sewage flow into it or the shreds of toilet paper on the tile floor until they were pointed out to him. And after he wiped the tile floor, he used the same cloth to wipe off the door handles he had just sprayed with disinfectant. We talked to him about the need to move the furnace so he could clean behind and under it, but he told us that we would have to arrange for that ourselves. He didn't move anything else out of the furnace room or attempt to clean up the shredded toilet paper that was visible in the corners of the furnace room (see photo). We now have another company that appears to have the right idea about what needs to be done and how to do it.
