There were a variety of Spanish tablas, appetizers, platters, sandwiches and also a menu for lunch that included burgers. However I opted for the salmon bowl. The staff member who assisted me wasn't friendly at all. I asked for any fresh juices and she pointed to the juices on top the counter. I ordered a ginger ale. I also ordered fries and I wasn't even asked for the sauces, my ordered came with mayo-ketchup. As for the Salmon bowl, wild quinoa was served with lots of fresh lettuce and arugula with a couple of red onions and thin sliced amount of smoked salmon. Nothing special about this dish just very bland flavor of the salmon and the cheese didn't tasted like mozzarella. As for the dressing the salad was served with mustard vinaigrette. The restaurant looked clean and tidy but it needs to improve on customer service and also get rid of flies inside the venue.

Placed a large order for an event. Having the confirmation in hand, I went to pick it up and the owner claimed he didn't have the order. I showed the confirmation email and everything, and he wasn't willing to cooperate and help out. Honestly, terrible customer service. Just lost a frequent customer.

After a full day of work, the last thing I wanted to do was drive across Miami in search of dinner…read more Fortunately, Miami Lakes has its own surprises. One of them is 1910 Restaurant & Bar, a Spanish-inspired restaurant that blends premium steaks, seafood, and a little theatrical flair without losing sight of flavor. The meal opened with an order of Cheese Balls, crisp golden spheres that reminded me of pão de queijo, except they skipped most of the bread and focused almost entirely on the cheese. The exterior shattered pleasantly, giving way to a molten, creamy center. Paired with a pineapple sauce, each bite balanced sweet and salty in exactly the right proportions. My wife ordered the Australian Wagyu Flap Sirloin, a 12-ounce cut grilled over charcoal and served with house-made chimichurri. It was everything you hope Wagyu will be, deeply beefy, wonderfully tender, and rich without becoming overwhelming. The chimichurri added brightness without stealing the spotlight. Then came the dish that first caught my attention. The La Reina de la Casa, or "Queen of the House." At first glance, it almost feels designed for social media, a cheese pizza crowned with an enormous grilled octopus. I would be lying if I said that presentation didn't influence my order. Fortunately, this wasn't style over substance. The pizza itself stood on its own with a crisp crust and generous layer of bubbling cheese. The octopus, however, was the reason to order it. It was expertly grilled, tender without a hint of chewiness, and seasoned with a spice blend the server politely described as the chef's secret. Whatever was in that seasoning deserved to remain a secret, because it transformed an already well-cooked octopus into something memorable. Dessert brought things back to the classics with a crème brûlée. The sugar crust cracked cleanly beneath the spoon, revealing a silky vanilla custard underneath. Simple, elegant, and exactly the ending the meal needed. 1910 could have leaned heavily on flashy presentations and premium ingredients. Instead, it paired both with thoughtful execution. That's a far more difficult trick to pull off. Some restaurants earn attention because they're photogenic. The best ones earn repeat visits because the food is every bit as impressive as the photos.

Unfortunately, this dining experience fell far short of expectations, especially for the price…read morepoint. Our server wasn't very personable and never introduced herself. She simply approached the table and immediately asked what type of water we wanted, which set an impersonal tone for the evening. The food arrived only room temperature. The grouper dish was overwhelmed by tomatoes and Parmesan cheese, making up what felt like half the plate. It was soggy, underseasoned, and lacked any standout flavors. The steak and risotto dish was similarly disappointing. The rice was slightly undercooked, and while the steak itself was cooked properly, it was bland and lackluster. Nothing we ordered felt exceptional or justified the cost. The biggest issue came when we discovered a long piece of hair in our side of fried plantains. To the restaurant's credit, they apologized and provided a complimentary dessert, which was appreciated and is the reason this review receives one star instead of none. Overall, the service was uninspired, the food was underwhelming, and the quality did not match the prices. We won't be returning.

I used to live down the street and would come here at least once a week , other days I would only stop by on my way to work for my favorite Cafe con Leche. There's something about your cafe con leche that makes me fall in love with it every single time. I moved to California where I'm originally from but everytime I have a chance to get on a flight my destination is Miami, this last time I came my sister which she also loved the cafe con leche... now we both GOT To make it to mayors cafe everytime we go Miami. I mean all the food is great, good portions and flavor , service is good, we get everything we need on time every time and the restaurant is small but cute and clean, I love the quotes they write on the small white board too.... I will be back very soon! Thank you!

This was my first visit, and we tried a few of their dishes, and they were all decent. To start, I had their Cappuccino, which was delicious and straightforward. I had the Mayor's Skillet Breakfast. It was decent, but it felt like it was missing a sauce or aioli. The skillet was very dry and lacked seasoning. I also tried their French Toast, which was perfectly cooked and fluffy. My sister had the 2-2-2, a classic eggs, bacon, and pancake breakfast, and my brother had The Cid, one of their sandwich. He said it was good, but lacked seasoning. Overall, Mayor's Cafe was decent. The food was okay, but it lacked seasoning in my opinion. If I visit again, I will try different dishes to see if that can change my opinion.
