Love this practice! We started coming here when our first kid was born six years ago. They send out a multiple page survey with practical questions - like can your child draw a straight line across a page - before each wellness visit, which gave me a great idea of where my son was at developmentally. Also love how knowledgeable and respectful the doctors are. I usually come in with a list of questions, and they always help me understand what's going on so I don't have more concerns later. We normally see Dr. Paxton, but we also have come in for emergency visits when he's not in office. Very impressed each time. When we moved further from their office, we tried a couple other practices near us and didn't like those as much. We felt either under prepared at visits because they didn't have the pre-visit questionnaire, or frustrated at the office being behind schedule - turns out it's because the doctors like to chat a bit with patients during appointments, which some people like but I'd rather get through it quickly. After that, we changed back to Canyon View despite the longer drive. read more

On Friday morning, 20 February....I went in to your instacare because I wasn't feeling well. The attending physician was Susan Greer. After several tests she was unable to diagnose me. I was given an IV and also something for nausea. I was given a double dose of something that I didn't recognize. It totally knocked me out. I vaguely remember trying to talk and was unable to. I had no control. I felt heavily drugged. I was not coherent at all. Didn't even know where I was. Then in that state...they sent me home before I was able to function on my own. I don't remember even getting into the wheel chair let alone having my husband help put me into the car. The next thing I remember was waking up at 3:00 in the afternoon in my bed still feeling not quite there. I slept off and on all day. To be honest this experience scared me because I was not conscience enough to function on my own. They should have NEVER released me until I was fully awake and able to talk. This medical center is a great place. The staff are friendly and the doctors are knowledgeable. I've never had a problem with HIPPA (not Hypa as written in other reviews) privacy issues. Doctors mail out letters after your appointment to go over any results from tests they did not have during your visit. Drs. Takasaki and Weatherspoon are excellent at diagnosing what's wrong and recommend excellent specialists when necessary. After each visit, I receive an email where I can log on to see what was said at the visit and see labs, medications, etc. read more

Broke Hypa Legal and Ethical Standards Canyon View Medical Group is one of the worst places to go if you value your privacy. My landlord at the time, contacted the front desk staff about whether I had a legitimate ESA letter for my service animal. I had a signed letter from one of their leading physicians, and I provided it to her. Canyon View told my terrible landlord that I was one of their patients; however, I did not have an ESA letter, that they could locate. I was served a notice to vacate the premises the following day. this mistake, lie, and unethical breach of the privacy law led to my eviction. Beware of this subpar medical facility. At best, they have crappy doctors; at worst, you might just lose everything. read more

I've gone here twice for the same thing. One visit was a $38 cost for me and the next visit, they charged me $178 stating that they spent more time on that appointment than the other. It was 15 minutes longer. Of course they say they can justify charging that much more, for the same thing and won't give an explanation other than that's what was coded in so they have to go by it. No recognition that it is completely unreasonable to charge $140 more for 15 more minutes or that they will reduce the cost at all. Don't go here! read more

I went in for a checkup, and couldn't have been more let down. I never go to the doctor, and this experience is EXACTLY the reason why. The front counter staff was rude, and immediately pushed for my insurance information, even though I explained several times that I was paying out of pocket. Then I was put in a small waiting room for about 25 minutes, at which time the "doctor" came in. He was literally in the room with me for less than 5 minutes, and I'm sure said no more than 15 words. Most of the time was him looking at his notes....and probably writing jokes about how he'll be charging me $230 for this attention (which, given the time spent with me, comes out to about $4,600 per hour...seems warranted). He said basically nothing, and grunting pointed to the place where they would take my blood. I thought to myself "surely, after this, I'll go back in with the "doctor" who will go over some information, and make some recommendations. No way was that our entire exchange." But, yep. Sure was. Blood drawn, I was issued out and told to "watch for their call with input". I did. they called and some child said "looks good". Then I got this bill for $4,600 per hour for ZERO attention or effort, and just couldn't believe it. Thought it must have been a joke. Got a second notice, same cost, no apologies for robbing people blind right out in the open. Shameful. read more

If there was a chance to leave a negative star I would. Don't go here at all they are super unprofessional especially the girl in billing named Shar she should be fired immediately! Their billing department doesn't know the law for billing and collections. They lie about mistakes that they made. They laugh when you call about problems with your bill that was their mistake for not billing insurance correctly! They lie about every manager in the whole clinic being in a meeting at the exact time you ask for a manager! They need an overhaul in their clinics because they are scraping the bottom of the barrel in the billing department! read more

DO NOT WAISTE YOUR TIME AT THIS "medical center" absolutely terrible experience. I've been going here for years because I am close friends with my doctor. My doctor has left there because of there business practices. This center pushes these doctors to spend as little time with their patients as possible. There business plan is not to know or care about their patients just get the patient done and get them billed. I have suffered for years with sinus infections that lead to terrible lung congestion, ear aches, sore throats.......its not fun. Today's visit I went in as a walk in patient. I've been sick for four days. The doctor comes in does her few checks and tells me "I don't think you have an infection so no antibiotic. I will not prescribe the cough syrup you have been getting either". I tried to explain to her that over the years we have tried a lot of other things and nothing else works. The cough syrup does contain a small amount of Hycodan but one small bottle a year is not going to make an addict of anyone especially someone who has never had an addictive nature. She just had the most arrogant attitude. Not sure why she got in the medical field but it can only be for the status and money because she has no other care. Of course I quickly left and told her since she has no intention of helping me she better not send me a bill. I got on here and am shocked at the many negative responses but it's the same on other sites. This non medical help center needs to go away read more

They have been my childhood doctor for years and do such a good job. At my latest visit they listened to my concerns and made sure to get me the care I needed. When I had tonsillitis they gave a great referral to a surgeon and also provided great follow up care. They are very LGBTQ friendly and also have great women's care! read more

I really like this office and the physicians! My children have seen all the doctors here at some point. I've never had a hard time getting an appointment. The staff if friendly and the office is clean. My youngest always asks if she can go see "her friends" and Dr. Bennett. I trust them with my children's health and will recommend this office to anyone who has kiddos. read more

Eh. Standard doctor's office. Long waits for no apparent reason, confusing instructions from the physicians, etc. A few of the doctors are downright horrible and a few are nice and seem competent (Dr. Takasaki is probably my favorite, while Dr. Buteaud???is... not.). It's kind of the luck of the draw and personalities, so there's probably not a ton to review there. The support staff is generally fairly nice, though and they're in Spanish Fork, with reasonable hours and without the need to schedule office visits months in advance, so that's good. read more

My children see Jonathen Bartholomew in the Pediatrics office. This office has been fantastic. Each time we have been there, we have not had a long wait time. With two toddlers that is a plus. They are great with my children, and do well at explaining to them and myself all that is going on. Also, they have been really fantastic at getting in my child on a same day visit when needed. When you have a sick child this is a HUGE plus. Dr. Bartholomew, was very thoroughly during my girls well check visits. He detected a heart murmur on my three year old that has gone unnoticed by other doctors. She ended up needing Heart Surgery and is thriving now. All thanks to his sensitive ear and taking time to listen to our concerns. Great experience here, and I would recommend Dr Bartholomew to any other parent. read more

They violated Hipaa, and sent my parents my detailed medical bill. I'm an adult, with my own insurance, and they had my insurance on record. I also live at a completely different address After this violation, they had the audacity to bill me for a late fee. The time delay was due to them needing to fix their own internal error of billing the wrong insurance company. read more

My wife went to see Doctor Ludlow for a consultation when she was pregnant with our second son. We already had a regular ObGyn that she was seeing, but we had just moved and we're considering a new doctor closer to where we live. We thought everything was copacetic until we were billed as a full pre-natal visit. So a $25 copay turned into a $140 bill. We called insurance and they said the doctor's office would need to rebill us. The doctor was completely unwilling to do anything to help. Either this doctor is too incompetent to bill correctly, or he's completely unscrupulous and morally corrupt. AVOID DR LUDLOW AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

Terrible customer service! I asked them if I had a deductible and offered to pay everything up front with my Health Savings Account. They told me I just had a copay so I paid it then and there. ONE YEAR LATER I get a call from a collection agency saying that I owe them $150. I asked what it was about and they said this clinic had sent me to collections. I called the clinic to find out what had happened and why this was the first time I was hearing about it. They said it was not their policy to call. Sounds like a lazy bunch of office staff to me....and I ended up paying $60 extra bucks instead of $90 because of it. read more

Wasn't surprised when I saw bad reviews. Front desk took 45 minutes to check me in & fill out papers when I came for after hours treatment. Front desk girl did not know what it meant to be a contracted provider... Really?? Both times I came they sent me with no paperwork on the injury (fractured foot). Doctor acted like a jerk because I didn't want to take his $700 walking boot for my kid. I simply said I wanted to wait until I knew if my insurance would cover it. All of the staff are rude & very unprofessional. I will not be going back. Worst experience I've ever had. read more

I am not a Patient. This review is on a billing mistake I had a cesarian delivery. Dr. Skinner was the assistant surgeon. They billed me $1,774 for the delivery. The billing code was 59514 it should have been 59514-80 $443. My review is to bring this concern to the billing department. Because on my second delivery I paid $1,400 for an assistant surgeon. So they have now billed me wrong twice. This time I caught it. Last thing I want to do is investigate a mistake. By the way I pay cash only. read more

I have been a patient of the Spanish Fork clinic for around twenty years. My first two primary care physicians retired. Currently my doctor is Steven Weatherspoon DO. I'm a retired nurse. I spent a few years working at a medical clinics. The Spanish Fork Clinic is beyond compare to any medical care I know of. They are kind, compassionate and professional. I have been involved in all departments other than Obgyn. They are excellent. The office staff is also excellent. I am very happy I decided to see doctor Weatherspoon. He has been extremely attentive to my concerns and over all health. I'm pushing the 70 year mark in my life. My health is fragile. I have lupus and just spent a month in the hospital and rehab with congestive heart failure. Doctor Weatherspoon is knowledgeable, and a great listener. Since home from rehab I have been able to easy have access to his care. I recommend him and the clinic highly. read more

Worst experience ever. My time is just as important as the precious Dr's. I know the game they play. More patients they see in a day the more money they make. Well if I wait more than 30 minutes when I have an appointment they aren't getting my money. I've been to Canyon View twice, never again. How about someone at least stepping out and acknowledging that I've been waiting and give me some kind of a time table as to when I'll be seen. The worst. I received prenatal care from Canyon View Women's Care 6 years ago (Dr. Ludlow, Dr. Skinner, and Dr. Warner). The experience I had with them has come to bother me so much over the years that I wanted to write a review. During my prenatal appointments I attempted to make it clear to each of them that my labors go very fast. I also made it clear that I was going to go natural. I was at the hospital for 2-3 hours before I gave birth to my daughter, and was never checked on by any of them. I was given no labor support (at UVRMC) and because of that it was a terrifying experience. As the baby's head began to crown, there remained no doctor in sight. One of the nurses rushed to my aid and delivered the baby. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Ludlow walked in and said something like "You didn't give me time to get up here! I was just downstairs." He had been downstairs reading a book for who knows how long, and hadn't come to check on me. I can't believe that all of the information I had given them about my labors going fast had been disregarded. My assessment is that this is NOT the group of doctors for any woman who has a desire to go naturally, and therefore will not be able to control the speed of her labor and pushing. Even at my 38 week appointment there were signs of not being natural-friendly that I should have noticed. They offered to strip my membranes at 38 weeks. Not seeing the need (there was no medical reason to speed anything along), I declined. They then proffered scheduling an induction when I was 39 weeks. Again, not a single medical need for doing so. I wish I had had more experience at that time and knew those were bad signs. Since then, I have worked with two different groups of midwives for my next two natural births and have been blown away by the level of support they give. If you want to go naturally, do not use this group of doctors. Look for a practice that encourages natural childbirth and look for any red flags. read more

Dr. Walton is fantastic! The clinic is always clean, the staff is always friendly and I never have problems getting an appointment. Dr. Walton is helpful, caring and courteous, and his nurse, I forget her name, is awesome with my kids each time we go in. The girls up front at reception are so nice and kind whenever I call in to make an appointment, or when I showed up for their InstaCare hours. I recommend this place to everyone! I have a hard time finding female doctors, especially ones who are good, so I decided to drive a little ways to try Nurse Wright for a well-woman exam. This is always an uncomfortable type of visit for me as a very private person, but she immediately made me feel welcome. I had several questions, and she listened patiently and then thoroughly discussed each issue with me in a way that made sense to me, asking further questions where needed to cater her answers to me specifically. I didn't feel like I was getting canned responses, and I didn't feel rushed. She also had some great advice about things I can do that don't involve medicine, or about OTC meds, which I really appreciate because most doctors seem to just jump to prescriptions. And she covered other issues I hadn't planned on discussing, like my calcium stores, exercise, and skin care, without making me feel reprimanded or nit-picked. I will definitely be coming back to Canyon View Women's Care in the future. read more
