I forgot to get him name but the local driver on 2/28 at 6PM from Prospector to SLC airport was Very knowledgeable about the different areas sourrounding Salt Lake City and Park City to help me find a new home someday soon. Also extremely efficient at driving quickly but safely even parking perfectly with the rear doors at ski bags and at the airport curb for rolling bags. Impressive!! Had to give him a great tip in person. Please make sure you increase his pay as soon as possible to keep him around as long as possible. He deserves it. read more

I have been a timeshare owner in Park City, UT for the past 30 years. I often fly into SLC airport alone and meet up with friends and family who come in from different parts of the country. I have used Canyons Transport for a shared ride for many of those years. This year I was told that the $65 dollar rate that was advertised was only for 2 or more people. They want $240 for a round trip ride! This is around 40 minutes per leg. I fly all the way from the East coast for little more than $100!!! When I expressed my displeasure I was told they could reduce the price to $114. I declined and told them they would never see another nickel from me. I reserved an Uber and will pay $75 per leg. DON'T USE CANYON TRANSPORT FOR ANYTHING!!!!!! read more

I am very disappointed by my experience with this company. I have been a customer since 2018, and I was lied to about the payment, the driver was late, and I was not even driven to the door. I wanted to cancel my return trip and would be charged if I did. This is absolutely ridiculous! I was overcharged, given bad service and on top of that I could not cancel without losing money. I have used Canyon Transportation for years, going to and from the Sundance Film Festival each winter. The vehicles are always clean and well-maintained. The drivers are consistently, polite, and professional. Winter driving conditions are usually less than ideal. In stormy weather or in clear, their drivers have demonstrated skill in sometimes snowy, icy conditions. Canyon Transportation's rates are reasonable. I wanted to provide an update to my review as I've used Canyon at least 4 times since that review. I still stand by what I said previously, because it was a truly awful experience that convinced me to write the review. There is still room for improvement. This season, I noticed that they now do send check-in emails and appear to be much better about using phones to communicate. However, the experience depends heavily on the road conditions and your driver. My hope is that with a flat rate + tip, Canyon should be eliminating all sources of stress especially for those who just worked a full day and are hoping to get to their lodge in the mountains by midnight. Yet, as soon as I got in the van, I was being told that I'd need to help provide directions to the condo complex (which had been selected from a dropdown list on Canyon's website). I know this seems innocuous but it's really awful when your brain is overworked and you're desperate to actually... begin... your vacation. Another time, last year, our driver back to the airport was grumpy and started complaining about the size of my ski bag when he showed up. Made frequent comments when trying to strap it to the roof of the van which unnecessarily passed the stress onto us. It was also our job to alert him to the 190cm long bag coming unsecured while on the highway and us needing to execute an emergency stop to avoid a traffic accident. Overall, I feel like they have improved, but, especially in a low snow year, it's hard to see the real value compared to modern ridesharing. read more

Called Canyon Transportation to make this year's reservation for a single rider to Park City and their new policy is to charge a 2 person minimum at $120. I thought this was a ride share option to eliminate these types of charges, but I guess not. Taking an Uber or Lyft or Taxi with these rates. What a disappointment! read more
