Everything was amazing! We had the Garlic Chicken and Chicken w/ Eggplant lunch specials. They each came with some of the best hot n' sour soup I have ever had. The food here is ok, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you're short on patience, this may not be the place for you. Despite repeatedly giving them the benefit of the doubt, I find myself consistently let down. My biggest frustration is with their pickup and takeout process. Every single time I call ahead, I'm given an estimated wait time, yet no matter when I arrive, whether it's on time, a little late, or even deliberately late to compensate, my order hasn't been touched. EVERY TIME. It makes me wonder if they intentionally delay orders out of concern that customers won't show up? To make matters worse, this doesn't appear to be an isolated issue. I've been coming here for just 8 weeks -- but ALL the TIME. (My comfort food, Chinese Food). I've never had anything that wasn't absolutely delicious :: they have the most incredible broad noodles just the perfect texture classic slippery garlic and all the meats taste really high-quality .... the dumplings, cabbage pork scallion, ginger i think -and fried exactly right ... the soup is wonderful the egg drop especially ...the veggies are fresh. After walking through cute shops, we got hungry and stopped at Canton for Chinese food as recommended by Sam from Becks Shoes. Dining area, can accommodate everyone. Service was excellent. Menu has lots to choose from but we enjoyed the great servings lunch specials. We grabbed a Sweet & Sour Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Garlic Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Salad and a Soup. We were all happy with our meals and some had leftovers, for either dinner or next days lunch. We plan to visit again for family style eating. read more

This review is for Isla. My family and I are regulars here and the food is unmatched. Our favorite place to eat in town, not just favorite Chinese food. My party tonight was 3 adults and 5 children. Isla greeted us and sat ys quickly. Drinks were out before we knew it, shortly followed by appetizers and noodles. The most wonderful place with incredible people. Sarah and Imad were genuinely the nicest and most accommodating. We felt cared for and so welcome! On top of that, the food was incredible. Service was awful. Arrived at 7 PM with almost no one else in sight. Didn't get the check for entrees until almost 9 PM. WTAF.

Wow! Food was probably the freshest I've ever had. Services was great as our waitress was very attentive, provided refills and made sure we had any sauces we wanted. She also gave great recommendations. The cream cheese wantons were delicious. I got a lunch plate and it came with a generous helping of steamed rice with the black bean eggplant that I chose. Good place to go if you want to wait a long time for your food. I ordered on GrubHub from Canton's site. When I got there they said they didn't have my order. I told them I used GrubHub and the found it, but told me I shouldn't use GrubHub as they don't check that. I was told I should have phoned in my order. I was then told my food would be out in 10 minutes, but was actually 35. I have waited far too long here on other occasions as well, but this was my last time. Food is good however. read more

The inside of the restaurant looks very peaceful, but we had called and ordered some takeout: beef chow fun sweet and sour soup black bean eggplant kung pao tofu chicken and broccoli Everything was delicious and prices are reasonable. We stopped on our way home from the lighted boat parade and every menu item we ordered was delicious. The potstickers were like fluffy little clouds instead of those pre-frozen ones you see everywhere. The chow mein was also great with thick noodles and really tender meat. We have tried most Chinese resturants in the area but this week we ate at Canton on 41st Ave. The food had plenty of fresh vegatables but I thought It was lacking the meat Items like Chicken. I felt sorry for the poor one person lady wait help. She was very good but busy. When we entered I found 6 uncleaned tables full of old dishes and left over food. When our party left there were 8 dirty tables . The one person waitress in the afternoon had to answer the phone for take out orders and bring them to the counter when people came to pick up also. My big order was missing a item when all the food did arrive. Had to wait till I was almost finished to get my missing food item. A good restuarent would have given me this as a free dish for the long wait. The old days of a water boy and clean up person are long gone in many of today's places to eat. Ar least a one person wait staff person gets to keep all the tips. Will try again and order some different items as the food was not that bad and very tasty. read more

For about $30, tip included, we got two lunch specials with fantastic hot sour soup. the Portions are generous, so we had leftovers for dinner as well. We were visiting Capitola and our family dined here on a Friday night. The place was empty which was quite startling considering how excellent the food is. We ordered the Mongolian beef, curry chicken, basil chicken, chow funn, chicken salad and string beans. Everything was fresh and delicious. Some of the best Chinese food we've had. Their lunch plates are always excellent . I love their garlic shrimp which has at least 10 shrimp and the freshest vegetables. The hot and sour soup is perfect as well as the sesame ball. Rice comes with the lunch and there's always enough food to make 3 meals. Everything is so fresh and delicious! It's no surprise that it's rated the best Chinese food in the area. Ive been coming here for most of my life. It all started at the end of 41st Ave where I and my bestie found this amazing Chinese spot. Little did I know it would be the best I ever had! Love Canton 41st Ave, Capitola and Scotts Valley! The food is always fresh and delicious. Love that they use white meat chicken and none of that slimy weird parts kinda chicken - you all know what I'm talking about. Vegetables always taste like they just brought them in from the garden. Food is always full of flavor and affordable. Next time you're craving delicious Chinese food, reach out and give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
