Quality, flavor, presentation were simply top notch! It just so happened to be oyr servers birthday as well, so that was fun & she was so sweet & accommodating... the atmosphere is is wonderful with the distillery, gift shop & a view of the river right out on the terrace if you want to eat outside. We saw a mother & baby deer right across from us and a whole family of geese with their gosling. We loved the place so much, we came back 2 days later for lunch before leaving the area. Take the Distillery tour & buy some amazing infused balsamic vinegars, oils, bourbon, brandy, bourbon BBQ sauce, scented candles & other before leaving. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We will come back & visit more of Baraboo just to eat here again!

You do get to try up to five tastings of your choice, which was nice since you can double up on a tasting if you really enjoy the taste. Our guide was funny and did a great job providing the information. As far as the cocktails go, I did get a tasty mojito! The cool thing is if you arrive earlier to your tasting, you can bring the drink with during the tour. I love the atmosphere and really enjoyed the tour guide!

The vibe in the building is adorable, comfortable, and homey. but ALWAYS make a reservation, they're a small establishment and are very good, so a reservation is necessary. and if you are planning on eating there during the summer, make sure to make the reservation weeks in advance, they're booked quick because, well it's great, and summers busy. If you are unable to do stairs though, make sure you request the downstairs area!

I would recommend making reservations as it was consistently busy. We opted for seats at the bar to avoid an hour wait. This place is tiny, so it would not be ideal for large groups. It would be difficult to accommodate someone who could not navigate stairs (there are both stairs to enter as well as a staircase for most of the dining space). Servers were friendly and helpful, the right amount of attentive. The food came out quickly. They offer light lunch, brunch, breakfast fare, with specials, and baked goods from Lola. A popular special is a homemade pop tart, which has rotating flavors (today was blueberry with lemon frosting). We opted for French Toast, pork belly, and the country skillet. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. All around a great find.

I saw ductwork in the rafters; maybe the AC was not working? We went for Mother's Day brunch. It was probably not their best culinary showing, buffets usually aren't. I was not a fan of the Cheesy Hash Brown and Egg Casserole. It was the texture, not so much the taste. The French toast was a good mixture of cinnamon and sugar, but only if you could find the pieces that weren't dried out. I liked the bacon: salty, well cooked and crunchy. The flank steak was tender and tasty. Prepared to a perfect medium and marinaded in a nice meaty broth. The chicken in the Lemon Chicken Piccata was overcooked, dry, resulting in a tough chew. I did enjoy the Mushroom Strudel. A moist dish with a tasty gravy drizzle. I would've liked to try the bread pudding with caramel sauce, but they apparently ran out. The other desserts were ok. They looked like they were hastily cut into slices and served on the thinnest of paper plates. I could tell those running the place were also a bit frustrated; they made their feelings rather vocal, easy for all seated to hear (that's like a major rule of restauranting: the issues in the back should never be exposed in the front, where the customers can hear.) All in all, not a good first impression. But, I am willing to return and have a normal sit-down meal. Then I can see how they do. I have been told that their service and food is usually pretty solid. We shall see.....

Meat loaf was plate licking good. Came with mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. Pot roast was cooked perfectly. Came with mashed potatoes, veggies and a tasty gravy. Pork chops were moist, tender and huge, and topped with an apricot sauce. Meal was very good. Hot wheat bread loaf and side salads started the experience. Highly recommend without any reservations. Can't wait to return. Tip - get a reservation.
