So I first learned of this CannaStarz location back in 2021 and this year after moving back to Las Vegas I became a frequent customer. Not only does CannaStarz have some really good cannabis, their prices are pretty good especially when used with my veteran discount. What makes this review so especially BAD, and the reason I won't be returning as a customer, is due to the recent changes in the way discounts and points are applied/able to be used. I went to CannaStarz today as I do every other time when they have what I want, and tell the budtender what I want. He brings it back and rings it up and it comes out to a lot more than what I was expecting so I ask "wait my veteran discount is applied to that?" And he says yes. I look at the screen and see a deal on 1 of the 1/8ths I wanted for "$5 off" however I did not want that deal, I wanted my veteran discount applied to the full amount. I am told they no longer do that, which is cool, fine, so I say "okay let's just take that one off". The total is still a lot more than I am expecting, so I'm looking at the screen dumbfounded. Come to find out the owner changed the way they apply the veteran discount. It used to be able to be applied to each item, now they only gave me my veteran discount on the entire purchase instead of each item, causing my total to be $46 more than it was previously. I ask the budtender to apply the $34 in points on my account. He tells me they cannot do that anymore. WHAT?! You mean to tell me I'm racking up these points that I am not able to use at my will?? So not only did the owner or whoever change the way they let veterans use their discount causing a higher price tag for us, now we cannot use our veteran discount on full priced items instead of the daily discount, AND we can't use points that we've accrued at the same time as using a veteran discount. None of this makes sense. Unfortunately I will NOT be returning as a customer. Seems like the owner does not care about veterans as much as other dispensaries in the area. While CannaStarz offers a 30% veteran discount on the total, other dispensaries like RISE offer 20% PER ITEM. Thanks for nothing, CannaStarz read more

Went in to get relief for my back. I was greeted warmly and the lobby is nice! I provided my ID then went into speak with a kind hearted gentleman. I explained my issue and I asked about a balm or lotion. He pulled both and explained in detail what each on dis and recommended the balm based on what I was struggling with. I truly appreciated his time, efforts and expertise on what I needed. The price point was fine as I was ok with it. It was my first time there and it is nice and easy to shop. THree stars for the product not the service. Back in April I purchased three .9gm cartridges produced by Nature's Chemistry. I Just finished the 1st one today. I opened the second one only to discover that the oil had leaked out. Sadly the same thing happened to the third as well. Needless to say I WILL be avoiding that brand in the future. I did not know until I got home because you are not allowed to look at the receipt. I called in the next day to the store. They REFUSED to give me the discount. They are a DISHONEST business. On Las Vegas Blvd. a block away from the Pawn Stars, there's a place called CannaStarz that was advertising a $35 deal for two eighth ounces of flower and I'm surprised it's been there for a couple years now, with no reviews. It's good to check out a variety of local dispensaries just for comparison sake so I went in with both guarded optimism and a bit of skepticism...because there are definitely some places that unload their less desirable, less potent products by slashing prices like this. The two-fer deal that day at CannaStarz was a Gorilla Glue strain from Circle S Farms, testing at a healthy 24%. This turned out to be a bargain, an indica hybrid loaded with strong doses of terpenes like limonene, which has an anti-inflammatory effect as well as myrcene, which benefits insomnia and anxiety. Turned out to be a mere $17.50 an eighth for some good quality weed, a steal by today's prices and at least half what you'd expect to pay elsewhere. The grower, Circle S Farms, might sound like a cattle ranch but it's actually an indoor facility in the North Las Vegas Apex area that supplies cannabis to other local dispensaries as well, so I'm guessing their other strains are also effective. CannaStarz offers competitively priced edibles, vapes, concentrates, topicals, and pre-rolls too (though I usually don't recommend pre-rolls because I've been burned in the past at other places that sell weak ones cut with some shake). My advice to visitors is to buy a gram or eighth then roll your own, because at least you'll know what's in it. Inside CannaStarz you'll find some classy decor with a giant chandelier and fancy couches, so a tip of the cap to the three gals who own the dispensary - the first all-female run venue in town. With a bit of passion, they created a relaxing positive vibe for the public to shop in. I'll eventually try a few more of the daily 'two for $35' deals and see if the other strains offered are as good but so far, I'm impressed. I've seen a couple of ads this week from 'established' dispensaries, one of them selling a very cheap $30 quarter ounce of flower, but it's only testing at 15% potency. How boring and ineffective. Another was trying to unload their mediocre 'Old Pal' brand at bargain basement prices. Give CannaStarz credit, they don't sell you bunk weed when they discount their sale items. This is not a medical dispensary so you won't get the tax break, but with prices that reasonable, I was perfectly fine with paying a couple bucks more in taxes while saving so much on my discounted purchase. read more

Not local friendly! They use to have 8 dollar prerolls for locals and now cheapest is 12.00. Been going for years and never again please go to somewhere that treats locals well. I got a reply from the owner saying to come back sometime they do offer them but that's pointless when was in yesterday and told they dont. Either they always run out and locals are out of luck or lie and say they dint to get you to buy a 12 dollar one. Shady if that's the case or just the owner doesn't realize they dont ever stock them.
