As a business (especially in "healthcare"), if you continually CLOSE your Doors in customers faces (not on your displayed scheduled hours), it seems you are NOT a business or actually do try to help people. No notice or communication of your business hours to your clientele either - something VERY easy to do in this day and age. This place is so overpriced. An ounce of marijuana should cost between 120-180, not $260+ for bottom shelf crap with 21% THC content. I have smoked marijuana daily for ten years and never in my life have I paid what this business asks for flower. They do not have a good stock of flower either, usually one option for those who buy in large quantities. Come in at 1? You're screwed, they close the entire place for thirty minutes for lunch, which is not listed on Google where people are getting directions. That was the final straw for me. Roll up at 12:59 and get denied entry at the door after a thirty minute drive. Good luck scamming everyone else in the state of Virginia with obscene pricing and horrid selection, but this guy is done with you. I would not recommend this business to anyone uneducated on cannabis, and those who have been using for a while will laugh their way right out the door and call somebody else when they see the prices. read more

I should not say this but I had fun. This place is super clean. The guard is so kind and helpful. I walked in and they explained the process to me. The options are limitless. Gummies, flowers, and vapes, oh my! The staff are very knowledgeable and they enjoy, yes enjoy, answering questions. "Chick-fil-A" kinda customer service. I've been here to this location of Columbia Care/Cannabist several times now and every visit has been a positive experience. Thomas has been the person who has assisted me thus far and he is just WONDERFUL. He is knowledgeable, so helpful, friendly and has *the* most calming demeanor. I was a bit stressed the first time I went there and everyone was very friendly and helpful in explaining the process and helping me decide which items suit my needs the most. Everything here seems to run smoothly from what I've seen so far. I highly recommend downloading the Cannabist app so you can check out their inventory because some items/strains will have limited inventory as is the nature of this business. Plus you can earn/track your rewards, as well as receiver notices of specials. ("Green" Friday had 15% off, etc) If you're a veteran or on disability, you can get discounts as well. (10%?) Do bring CASH! The only con for me is being in Chesapeake, I either have to pay the tunnel toll to get to Portsmouth or drive all the way out to Birdneck for their other location. But hey... this is all relatively new here so I'm not complaining. Still hope to see a location a bit closer one day. read more

As the previous reviewer stated, Columbia Care Portsmouth is extremely clean and modern. Customer service is top notch. My first visit was last month. The pharmacist in charge, Ray, took time to write out instructions on how to make edibles with live rosin instead of just telling me how to do it. The written instructions definitely came in handy. I'm a huge stickler for customer service and Columbia Care Portsmouth hits the mark for me. Prices here are also fair and they offer discounts to certain groups (i.e., military or disability recipients). Looking forward to patronizing Columbia Care Portsmouth into the future. read more

Today on this beautiful Saturday me and my pup decided to go to the beach then decided to stop by Cannabist. Piss poor customer service for medical cannabis patients. Arrived at the the front desk and the tech/receptionist took longer than usual to upload my documents. She scanned my documents twice and almost torn my certificate. Ive purchased at the location on Cary st in Richmond so I was wondering why it was taking so long. The Pharmacist stated it takes a long time to upload my documents but both locations are one and the same. I had a great experience at the Richmond location but the Portsmouth location prevented me from purchasing and the pharmacist couldnt give me a legitimate reason but she was blocking the door from me entering. Not worth the time and effort to cone from Buckroe Beach to Portmouth. I worked too hard to assist patients in believing the medical cannabis industry in Virginia will treat each of it's patients with respect and dignity. read more

i tried most of there cannabis flower and it all sucks, you have to pay top shelf money and all you get is dried out BS, even there own brand is all dried out, i have spent hundreds of dollars there and said something to mgr and still cant get fresh flower, i wish they had some competition or knew what fresh buds was. they dont care about medical patients needs ,its all about money$$$, they even grow it there and still cant get fresh buds, i really dont understand why all the flower is extremly dried out and even no dank smell, its too bad thats the only place to go get my meds. still hoping it gets better and we can get fresh buds soon. read more
