This Japanese restaurant near the GO station in downtown Brampton has been our go-to spot for…read moreyears, and for good reason; it has the best sushi in Brampton! Unlike all-you-can-eat spots, this à la carte restaurant focuses on quality, and it truly shows in every bite. This time, we ordered the medium-sized party tray with sushi rolls, and it was fantastic! The portion sizes are just right, with a perfect balance of toppings to rice, making every roll satisfying. They also offer other party tray options in different sizes, including ones with nigiri or sashimi if that's more your preference. Just note that substitutions are limited to one per tray. If you're dining in, it has a nice vibe and decor and I highly recommend trying their crispy soup appetizer (doesn't taste the same for takeout). Great friendly service and high quality sushi; highly recommend!

This is a very busy location not far from YYZ. Has a large…read morebar area and a variety of separate rooms for regular or private dining groups. I recommend reservations, especially on weekends. They are open late. The servers were very pleasant and checked on us often. We had a couple of non alcoholic drinks, then the Charity bread followed by their Chicken Parmesan. My friend substituted the regular noodle (like a lasagna noodle) with gnocchi for an up charge. The charity bread was actually cold which was a surprise. I thought it would be warm with fresh mozzarella on it. It was ok but less so than if the bread had been warm. I was really looking forward to the chicken Parmesan, as it had been described as noodles tossed with Alfredo sauce, on a bed of red sauce. But mine were incredibly dry - felt like they had hardly tossed it with any kind of sauce, and I'm not sure that there was any red sauce, even on the bottom of the plate -- that was very disappointing. The chicken itself was OK nothing to write home about. It was an OK place but no more than OK and I wouldn't go back there in a hurry. I have been to other Scaddabush restos before at other locations and my experience there was better. I will say that the thing that I like the most about it was the service. The servers were all really good. But the food was meh - just so so. I would've probably given a 2.5 if I could give a half point. it's part of a complex where there's a lot of different restaurants. So tons of parking, which is very good.

The food was exceptional in taste, and it was the best honey chilli I have had in the overall GTA area. Also the price point is really economical given it's a takeaway spot only. So I usually do a yake out of mains as they have a long wait for dinner but if i am in mood to enjoy appetizers i will definitely visit them by 6. Now why 3 stars- when generally they don't do reservations. But for a party of 6 or more they do and charge 18% gratuity by default. And in one of our visits they added gratuity and without informing they also asked for tipped. Blind sided us ( 2 families) paid 15 % on top, which was way more than actual bill, as 15 percent was paid on total bill . After going home when we realized, we called them but they refused to do anything. We felt like cheated and misinformed.

The space itself is very cool, with lots of interesting artwork on the walls and a big bar at the front where you enter the restaurant. The menu is extensive so we had a bit of a hard time choosing what to try but we ended up with the gol cuppe, hare masalay ki tikka app (basically spiced and fried potato patties), malai chicken tikka, fish masala and avadhi paneer, jeera rice, and dahi (yogurt) with butter naans. I was surprised they don't offer a specific kids menu but perhaps they may add one in the future. The food was tasty and presented nicely - my fave dish was the paneer. There did seem to be a bit of a wait in between dishes but that was ok as we were having a family visit and not in a rush anyway. Our servers were nice but again were a bit slow to check in, etc. Would like to return again to try more dishes including the fusion pasta items as they sound very interesting.

The taste was average to above average, so if you are in the area, this may be your best bet for authentic dumplings. I also got the basil chicken, which didn't taste authentic at all. It was basically an Americanized stir-fry with chicken, basil, onion, and perhaps zucchini. Taste wasn't bad, but it did not meet my expectation for a restaurant that advertised itself as authentic Chinese. I got the dumplings within 5 to 10 minutes, but the basil chicken took an extra 25 minutes of me just sitting there. It was pretty packed on a Friday evening, with one large group sitting in the middle of the restaurant.

We enjoyed beautifully plated dishes (the use of dry ice is SO cool, haven't seen this before at a boil resto). Snow, dungeness, and king crab were delicious. we also enjoyed the sides (fries, fried rice, torpedo shrimp, garlic bread etc) but of course-- and as it should be-- the seafood was the star of the show. The interior is super clean and pristine; the screens of fish are a wonderful alternative to live aquariums.

Their menu is really fun too, with sliders and all kinds of fast-food-style items but actually done right. They also have dirty sodas with a bunch of different flavours, which is such a cool concept. The restaurant was packed when I went on a weekday night. They have little games around and the ambience is actually really nice. There isn't a ton of seating since it seems more like a takeout spot, but it still works. Service was good, a bit slow, but it seems like they make everything fresh, so it's reasonable. Overall, super good spot and definitely worth checking out.
