This week, another technician who repaired the stove pointed out that a plate was not covering the electrical wiring behind the stove's kick plate. So, for four years, my family and I were using a GAS stove with exposed wiring just behind the kick plate. The owner came by today with a "colleague" to "investigate." His colleague admitted that a plate should cover the exposed wiring. Rather than admit this grievous oversight, the owner offered up this absurd explanation: Someone else removed the plate in the four years since the original installation. No one removed the plate. No one. Why would anyone do that? He also claims that he installed a shut off valve. I have asked the TSSA to launch an investigation. Save yourself the risk and trouble my family has unknowingly endured for four years. I urge you to choose another contractor. The owner will no doubt respond to this warning with denials and accusations. You can believe him if you want to but, if you do, you will regret it.

After 2 months of back and forth with customer service and all the explanations, they denied providing any cooling period to me and forced their contract on me which I never signed with them. When I got my Newly built house, there was no terms and conditions for monthly payments, customer obligations and consumer rights. Even unethical to ask for double the money for buyout. I shared all the evidence with customer service that equipment offered to me for buyout for $4200 is available in market for $2200 (Brand NEW) - Model # RU160iN/PK.BA - 261216 but no one is ready to listen and make any accommodations. Enercare wanted me forcefully to use their services. Enercare violated my trust, wasted my time and money and caused me unnecessary stress and inconvenience. They do not meet the standards of a professional company. I will not use their services again and I will not recommend to anyone using Enercare. I am currently looking at all my legal options to terminate my services.

I emailed a well known plumbing company directly but they never responded, and likely blocked my phone number. I then posted on the Yelp Marketplace and Misho of Weston Plumbing responded the same day. We booked a day and he came over and replaced the tap. On his way out from the job I threw a replacement job for a kitchen faucet at him and he took on the project without hesitation. A week later he came back with the new faucet, did the installation as well as replace the defective basement shut-off valve. What I like about Misho is his willingness to be flexible about doing 'small' repairs (apparently some plumbers won't respond if the job is not 'big enough'). Also, as a now retired middle school teacher I always looked favourably on the Skilled Trades and supported opportunities for students to experience learning how to use tools and machinery. Artificial Intelligence ain't gonna do your electrical work, nor handle a hammer, nor put up your dry wall! Misho takes on apprentices and individuals wanting to learn the trade (he also does HVAC work). This is supporting the next generation of Skilled Trades practitioners in invaluable ways. They're usually really good with getting a technician in during emergencies. Cons: They have no consistency with their sub contractors and their policies are a little whack. CSRs also don't have proper training and 1. I received a notice from insurance that my rental water tank is too old. In order to maintain insurance it must be replaced. So I notify Reliance and they say no problem. Well big problem, the technician they sent refused to replace the tank. He says he wasn't approved by his boss to replace it. Went as far as providing me with a report saying it's not required. So had to elevate back to Reliance. They agreed technician was at wrong. Reschedules a different technician a week later. Another day off to take for me. Technician shows up with the wrong tank. Hmmm...spend more time with Rwliance on the phone. Ok...2 vacation days later...they schedule another week later. Turns out not only was my tank old, it's actually obsolete. 4wks later I finally get a tank. 2. I sign up for their maintenance and insurance coverage electrical, plumbing, ac and heating for the cottage. Well we had a sewage back up. Well I guess their dispatch staff don't seem to think that's an emergency. They tell us they can't send someone out for 2wks. Hmmm...ok. we had to pay for plumber since yes in a logical world that is an emergency. No one wants to hang out on poop for 2wks. Anyway fast forward this April call for ac annual maintenance. Well no availability til July. Needless to say I canceled that service. Would never recommend.

My AC rental broke down this year, they sent a contractor to check on it, and was told that it needed replacement. Reliance NEVER contacted me back to tell me that they will not repair my unit. WOW! After a week I made a follow up on what is going on and they pretend that they did not get any report that my unit needs replacement. After giving me a ridiculous rental rate, I decided to cancel my rental unit. Told them to pick it up, but it took them a month to pick up the rental unit. Mind you, their rule is that they will not cease rental charges until they got the unit back. It goes without saying that they ROB you of your money by continuously charging you for something that you are not using. They would delay the retrieval of your rental unit so they will have an excuse to profit out of their clients. That is how they make profit. Please stay away from this BIG company once you are done with your builder's rental agreement. I went to a local HVAC company which is a lot better and treat you with professionalism.
