Nardin, I believe, has changed. It's wonderful for an education and has rated number one for many years in the parochial high school element. They've lost their personality. It's all about maintaining status. My daughter chose this school for the wrong reasons. It's cool location. I prepaid her freshman year and was beset by calls from her guidance counselor saying that she is just not up to par. She is not good enough to stay. No offer of reimbursement for tuition paid...just remove her. Also, her purse was taken. Nardin not responsible. The agnst that this small school caused was long lasting. Her lost purse, sans cell fone and personal touch cafeteria card, was returned albeit 4 months later. Guidance counselor is long gone, I believe her sole purpose in life was to bother individuals. Her office, in the lower part of the building, was the smoking lounge when I attended. Cool school, be careful.

Because of her high scoring metrics several top schools recruited her with generous offers. We decided on NU because it had her major and no students loans were needed. We've made it through the first dream. Now the goal is to make NU realize they picked the right woman for the job. Any grad schools wanna get in early on a top tier student?

Back in 1992-1996 during my time at Gow, many events like school battles in Triva, school plays, musicals, dances and sporting events happened at The Gow School which Buffalo Seminary took part in. Males that knew how to talk to women or got by on their looks might hook up with one of these outstanding ladies at a school dance or at The Galleria Mall. One of the most memorable times with Buffalo Seminary was a battle of wits triva.  One lady was just getting all the answers for her school.  I don't remember the outcome now, but I believe Buffalo Seminary won the game, but not by a lot. I also believe I was hand picked to do one of these types of challenges,  but backed out of fear.  Looking back I regret doing this.  I think of the words Buddy Revell said to Jerry Mitchell.  "You didn't even try...How does that feel?"...yes the quote was edited,  but if you have seen the movie Three O' Clock High, then you already know the whole quote.  Back in the day, I never got the chance to date one of these ladies, but I didn't know how to talk to women until my second dance my 9th grade year.  Confidence is the key word here and sitting on the steps of a dance room and not making a move for 2 hours can be very depressing.   I did not miss an opportunity the second time around.   If I got rejected, I moved onto the next woman at the dance.  Education  at its finest. Most women were happy to be asked to dance.   Buffalo Seminary is still The Gow School's Sister School, but now The Gow School is a co-ed school. One day maybe Buffalo Seminary will follow suit.

They also have a room full of goods made by the students. Some food, other bookmarks, other types of things. Then there is a room full of baskets that you can win in a Chinese auction. The baskets were awesome. Parking for Sem is street, and no handicapped parking area. The facility is not easy if stairs are difficult for you, but it's manageable. This is a nice Holiday Bazaar and well worth a stop if in the area. I took off a star because of the lack of handicapped parking. 2026

I understand the pandemic through a lot of things into chaos, but this was already supposed to be a fully on-line on-demand program for working people, and my concerns are mostly not pandemic related. DYC wants your money and doesn't care about you as a person. While the admissions folks were very responsive and in constant contact, that all ended once I became a student. Professors were not responsive nor was the head of the department when I had general questions about the program. Additionally, the program the admissions folks sold me on does not in fact exist. I was under the impression I could attend on-line, full time, on demand (meaning no set class times), and that the classes were offered in succession - meaning taking one class at a time for a month each rather than 4 classes concurrently for the whole semester. After I started, I was concerned about the lack of course offerings and was told that "full-time" in an on-line program meant 2 classes per semester. How is that full-time? It would take someone 8 years to complete their bachelors from scratch. That is not full-time, even by their own financial aid definition. I was new to this whole "pay several hundred dollars for an on-line text book and exclusive access to all your tests and quizzes" models but I had heard about this. Before I started, I was aware that the textbook industry was not lucrative enough because they make no money on the sale of used books. However, if I am paying several hundred dollars for a third party vendor to provide the tools to teach myself, why is there even a professor? Why not drop the professor and include the cost of this robot professor in the cost of tuition? Why am I paying the same price for YouTube videos that others are paying for 6 hours a week of live instruction? If you want an idea of the quality of the education, look at the some correspondent from the president of the school. She would get an F for grammar, punctuation, ability to coherently express a thought, and, if she didn't actually write it, plagiarism. There's a way to denote in a business letter that someone else drafted it. "I regret to inform you as a result of the continuing novel coronavirus pandemic, you can see the crises [sic] has touched every aspect of our lives and has severely impacted a variety of businesses." -President Lorrie Clemo. I don't mind paying for an education but the BS in Business seems like a lot of money just for a piece of paper. Even with a tuition waiver, it wasn't work the money or time investment.

Saw what appeared to be security guards, but no police officers....not sure what's up with that? I thought Canisius University had a police department? Says online they have a police department at Canisius University. I saw some people that appeared to be security guards at the game, but there were only a few of them. There were a bunch of fights breaking out at the game and after...... and NO ONE HAD CONTROL of the situation! It was REALLY SCARY!!!! People were fighting, saw a door get ripped off a bathroom!!! NUTS.... I don't understand if people pay so much money to go to school here...where is the police department during a game when there are so many people and anything......LITERALLY ANYTHING could happen???!!! Heard from some friends that attend Canisius University that their entire police department has been leaving because of the Chief of Canisius's Police that got hired. Not sure if that is true or not, but I can tell you there was NO law-enforcement presence at the basketball game from a firsthand experience. I think I literally saw 1 Canisius University police officer. Pretty sad if it is true that Canisius would keep somebody like that leader of their Police Department in that position if that person is causing and driving all of the officers away from the university that are supposed to be protecting it? Makes no sense, right... Not sure who makes the decisions on brining in Police Chiefs, but I can tell you that I would not be paying to go to school there with that many problems if that is what's really going on because rumors are circulating all over the campus about it. Found all the details above out after talking to people at the game that go to the school. Anybody could've walked in there and there could've been a major problem. NO POLICE!!!!! I don't think I'm gonna be going back to anymore games there. The game was great, however I value my life!!!!

His leadership (or lack thereof ) has driven away nearly all the staff. Most of the time, there's only one officer on duty, making it nearly impossible for the department to properly respond to emergencies. Instead of leading, the Chief spends his days isolated in his office, belittling employees and writing poorly constructed books riddled with grammatical errors. It's no surprise he couldn't hold a position for even a year at two other colleges before landing at Canisius. Shame on Canisius for both hiring him and continuing to keep him in this critical role despite clear evidence of his failure. If you genuinely care about student safety, you should look elsewhere ... because right now, Canisius does not have a functional safety department. Don't just take my word for it: call dispatch and ask how many officers are on duty. You'll likely hear there's only one or none at all.
