Dr. Cheyenne and Dr. Wendy are both knowledgable, thorough, thoughtful and compassionate. We've been seeing Dr. Wendy since roughly 2009, and although I'm generally an anxious individual, I can say with absolutely certainty that you can rest easy knowing you're in the best hands. She will put your pet's needs before anything else, including monetary gain. They're irreplaceable, and I'll miss them while I'm gone. With doubt we'll be back upon our return.

The focus is on well-socialized dogs and the dogs interact freely with each other. The premises is clean and well organized. On our way home from Dapper Dog for a groom, I noticed Tail Blazers and decided to check it out in hopes I could find our dog food brand. I like that I was able to bring my dog in with me (I'm sure she appreciates being included in my love of shopping lol) Although the store is a bit small, the displays for food, toys and accessories weren't overcrowding at all. The cashier was quick to come over and greet me and my dog, and asked if I needed any help. She apologized that they didn't have the brand I was asking about in stock (due to the aforementioned factory oven fire) but she pulled out a bunch of food she recommended and said I could have the sample bags for FREE! YAYYYYY!!! I paid for the chew sticks and treats my dog was sneaking out of baskets while I was chatting away, and thanked the cashier for her help. The food she recommended transitioned great for my dog! Once we run low on it and my usual brand hasn't been replenished at my neighborhood pet store, I'm gonna head back to Tail Blazers!

This…read morepast weekend, Tail Blazers was having Santa photos for pets- $15, with half of the proceeds going towards the Calgary Humane Society. Now, last season I purchased my dog Benson an adorable Christmas sweater, and figured this would be a perfect opportunity for him to show it off. I made an appointment with the friendly staff to bring him in. When we arrived, there were quite a few other dogs roaming around. Tail Blazers is awesome and allows customers to bring their companion animals inside with them. Benson is a little spooked of others dogs, so I walked around and perused the aisles with a 20 pound little furball in my arms. The ladies working at Tail Blazers were super friendly and I can tell they are all genuine animal lovers. They offered Benson several treats, and gave me a big goodie bag for him, which were given to all the animals in getting Santa photos. Forgive me as I really only looked in detail at the dog stuff, but Tail Blazers has a great selection of products. They have food for nearly every kind of pet diet including raw, many great brands. I also noticed many products such as vitamins and natural remedies for animals. There are tons of treats available, including one of my new favourite brands Wet Noses, which have a line of treats with simple, vegan friendly ingredients. I brought Benson home some mint carob treats which have really freshened up his awful breath. There are also lots of really cute little seasonal things right now- festive leashes and collars, little packages of treats, toys, etc. I would recommend this little shop. Bring your furry pals too! *Review 29/30 of Yelp's 30 Day Challenge.

While we waited we watched and interacted with Brooke and the other beautiful, well trained dogs who were in the process of bathing and hair cuts. It seemed like less than 5 minutes and Brooke was returned to us. I picked her up to inspect her nails. I couldn't believe it when she asked for $ 10.50! I didn't ask if she charges more for big dog nail trims, just paid and left, promising to return. Time has really gotten way from me in writing this review! I lived in Airdrie from June 2015 -…read moreApril 2016. I was alone in the area for work and had only my dog, Cooper and cat, Saul. I didn't have a friend/family network in the area to help with my animals when I went out of town AND my dog Cooper was fear aggressive so it made it just that much more nerve wracking to leave him with someone. After two failed attempts at a dog sitter via a app based service (2 no shows for meet and greets!) I no longer had confidence in trusting a stranger found by an app to come into my home and car for my pets. I searched for kennels and found High Tails - LIFE CHANGING! From the first phone call to the last visit every experience was outstanding. Cooper loved it so much that when i would pick him up he would not want to get in the car. He was a different dog after his time at High Tails. It was a confidence booster for him and a relief for me. He became much less fearful even outside his stays. Saul, the cat was a little more subtle in his excitement - but he seems happy and content every time I picked him up after a stay. I believe we had about 4 stays at High Tails. One at Christmas time that I booked with less than 2 weeks notice and they were able to accommodate at the last minute. We moved back to St. Louis, Missouri about two weeks after their last stay at High Tails and I can say I was genuinely sad to no longer have the option to bring my pets to this amazing facility! Don't hesitate! If you are looking for a exceptional kennel to board your pets, this is the place!

WARNING If you love…read moreyour dog, avoid this place like the plague. PURE NEGLECT. I saw right through their fake smiles and empty reassurances. They don't provide any real report about your dog's wellbeing just generic words, "she's doing great," which was clearly unbelievably false. The kennels are worse than shelters. The condition of this place merits a free stay, not the absurd fee they charge. It's overpacked with dogs, nonstop barking, and clear signs of stress everywhere. Their so-called "privacy suite" is a flat-out lie. They do NOT follow your dog's needs. They claim each kennel has an outdoor run, They have to manually open it, so their statement that dogs can go out anytime is completely false. I told them my dog is a rescue with a history of neglect and abandonment, and I trusted them to keep her safe and supported. Instead, I picked her up in distress , injured, bleeding, and with her voice completely gone from what must have been nonstop barking and crying. EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED THEM WITH HER SEDATIVES. She had made so much progress, and this experience set her back in every way. Blood was all over my car and the dog wash station from her injuries. It's heartbreaking and infuriating. The shelter she came from took better care of her than this place. I can't understand how businesses like this are allowed to keep operating. How do they sleep at night. Shame on you. PS: I suggest you concern yourself less with reviews and more with the wellbeing of the dogs under your care. At the very least, stop hiring low quality staff.
