I love canine clips! I have been bringing my dog here for 4+ years now! And within those four years I've moved to many different towns but continued to only bring my dog here!! I love that they don't crate the dogs unless they are nervous. They also do the grooming start to finish with every dog so you don't have to wait 4+ hours like at other grooming salons. The staff is so nice and personable. Christine always goes above and beyond for my pup and I'm excited to have my new puppy see her as well! I've been taken my dog here a couple times and always had a good experience until recently. Today, I had an appointment scheduled for my dog at 9:30, unfortunately something came up and I was not able to get him there until 9:40. She informed us she would do the best she could because we were 10 mins late and appointments are only an hour. They charged us $80 for him to come back looking the same with a slight trim, bath, and nail trim. If I was informed that 50 mins to groom my small 15 lbs yorkie was not enough time for their staff I would of paid the rescheduling fee and just took him home vs paying $80 for nothing. I've included a photo of him one week ago (latest photo I have of him full body) laying down, and one of what he looked like today after picking him up. Additionally I've included another photo (in the car on his way home from canine clips) of his previous haircut before today that his face was cut unevenly. I brought him in today to give this place another shoot. I'll just be taking him somewhere else next him. I can give him a bath at home and save $80. read more

Did a good job and understood what I was looking for. Unfortunately the price was a major factor. Was quoted a price ($80) for a bath and a little trim. When I picked up my dog it ended up coming to $103 due to "additional services" added that are normally part of a regular grooming. There was also an additional charge for paying with a credit card. (I was able to pay cash to avoid that extra charge) Paying a high price for quality work is not a problem for me, but being told it would cost one price then jacking the price up after the service has been done is not okay. 4 star service just be ready to get charged more than quoted read more

I'm so upset with the owner. I might even consider a slander case. In front of me she called my 18 year old daughter a bitch. She claimed my daughters (15 and 18) said that the place smelled like poop, first they never said that, second even if they did, no reason to call a customer a bitch. She claimed she had it on video tape when I asked to see it she said she didn't have time to look it up. I will do my best to inform all customers how she treated my 18 year old. The owner , Christine, is the most rude person and an outright liar! My gentle pup was vetted for service on the initial appointment. she Yelled at me in front of other clients and told me to give my dog cannabis. My vet was appalled at her behavior and how a so/called groomer can't work with a sweet 13 pound dog. Our vet and techs have no issue and said if she yells at owners what is she doing with the dogs? She is beyond negative and wants to blame me. Take responsibility for your actions. Our dog is not the problem!! Do not use this place! If owner didn't want to groom my dog why didn't she talk to me privately? The word is discuss not yell as she did. And she thinks that's okay to yell in front of others. Don't defend your bad behavior as there was no need for you to react. Be an adult and be progessional!! She was happy to have another appointment on her books. She has no customer service or positive communication skills. Instead just yells. I'm not the only one to note her bad behavior on a review. So what's the common denominator? Take responsibility as an owner. You don't have to work with every dog but you DO owe customers common courtesy and a conversation that does not involve yelling at a paying customer. I am new to the area and was a little nervous about finding a groomer for my 14 yr old Yorkshire Terrier, who can be a little frisky sometimes. He's a senior dog now, so I want him to be comfortable. Pam did a great job. I showed her a pic of his last cut, and Mikey looked great and was very happy when she brought him back out. I had a bad experience at this salon. I took my dog to get his first groom here and all my dog got was a bath and a sanitary trim. When I picked him up it looked like I got the same dog I had dropped off. This would have been fine if it didn't have the hefty price of $75 without tip. Save your money and go somewhere else! I have only taken our puppy there twice, but what a great experience so far! The staff is so nice and friendly and they had so much patience with our energetic puppy. Their puppy program is such a great way to get a pup acquainted with the noises and happenings at the groomer. I was so afraid to take our little girl for her first trim and they did such a great job with her; she is still just as adorable as when she walked in! I've been bringing my soft coated Wheaton here for over a year. LOVE this place. I had previously taken her to other groomers in northboro and westborough-- never found one I liked as much. She can be squirmy, but at Canine Clips she always gets a great, even cut. I have brought her in a few times in pretty bad shape (matted), but the staff work their magic. Also have to say that I like the owner--she obviously loves dogs and trains her staff to be very professional. read more

If you have a Golden Retriever this is not the right place to go to...If you SHOW DOGS PLEASE DO NOT take your dogs. I had inquired IF they know how to groom for SHOW and the lady said YES. I set the appointment. Today I asked them to lightly shape his fur for SHOW use scissors only. Guess what??? Front paw flow of fur of the Golden was destroyed to the point I am now trying to cancel hotel reservation and begging to change the fees paid for show to be transfered to the next one which is another 12 plus hours of driving from MA. The whole Canine Clips team was amazing from start to finish. Pam did my dogs hair and I'm thrilled by how it turned out and how they handled my dog. My dog is fear aggressive and is awful when he needs to be poked or prodded. To prepare ahead of time I gave him some of his prescribed medication to help his anxiety which worked great for him. I was apprehensive about bringing my rescue dog (terrier mix) to a groomer. We attemped a few weeks ago at another groomer. My dog, Talulah became highly agitated, growling, cowering and hiding behind my legs. She would not let the groomer near her. Talulah was nervous as we walked into this bright and sunny salon. However, Christine put her at ease and quickly established rapport. She was gentle and considerate the entire time. Christine invited me to stay and I opted to do so and play with her two puppies that were in the shop. Talulah recieved the full treatment..nails, ears, bath, brushing and grooming. It was obvious Christine is excellent with dogs and has a passion for what she does. Talulah looks fabulous. As often as I read reviews, I have never written one. I am beyond satisfied with the grooming job done on my very old, anxious golden retriever. Christine is the most compassionate groomer I've brought my dogs to, and as long as she is around, I will not be bringing them elsewhere. She went above and beyond my expectations; my older dog is 13 years old, has cancer and is prone to seizures... and in addition to all of that, he does NOT play well with others. He is a very nervous, very elderly, yet super lovable dog.... but gets extremely overwhelmed when he's groomed. Christine made sure to book him as her last appointment of the day to avoid interactions with other dogs, she also booked her bather so they could both stay late and work on him together so we could get him in and out as fast as possible. I am pretty sure Christine gave back 10 years of life to my dog, as he basically trotted/ bounced out of Canine Clips, acting like he was the King again. In addition to her excellent service, she was very patient with me and my many questions, she let me stay with my dog while he was groomed, and she explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. She does not handle dogs aggressively like groomers I've used in the past. I would recommend her to anybody who loves their animals as much as I love mine!!!!!! read more

We brought Felix a few weeks ago for the first time. Even though he was a little naughty, he looked so cute and was so clean when we got him. Cristine also recommended a trainer who, I must say after one class has really improved Felix's behavior. We have another grooming appointment tomorrow and I greatly appreciate her approach of "bring him till he gets used to it". Felix isn't an aggressive dog but, as our first, he's probably a little spoiled. I love that she's ready and willing to groom him and help us out as we learn about training him. read more

Love this place. We adopted a sweet little lady from Pittie Stop Rescue. Her nails were unbelievably long and all quick. Been heading here every 3 weeks for 6+ months and little by little the quicks are receding. My dog is *strong,* but they are able to calm her and get the grinding job done. So here I go... I see that everyone gave this place a really good review but I had a really bad experience. I brought my Saint Bernard and my Bassett Hound to be groomed. My Saint Bernard has been groomed before but my Bassett was a badly abused rescue and never been groomed. They are both 1.5 years old. I really got the cold shoulder from the minute we walked in for our appointment. We dropped off the two dogs and left. About 20 minutes later we got a phone call to come pick up both our dogs they weren't cooperating. Ok, how embarassing for us. Bratty puppies, go figure. I was ok with this. How we were treated when we came to pick them up was disgusting. The person who seemed to be the owner had a chip on her shoulder and made me feel worse. To add insult to injury my dog was washed and wet. It was freezing outside. My Saint Bernards head had soap and was wet on it. Best part? They charged us 30.00 dollars for the "wash". I will tell all my friends and neighbors not to bother going to this unfriendly establishment. I wouldn't know what their grooming ability is. read more

Cristine is awesome! She did a phenomenal job with my golden retriever mix Trevor, who has lots of tricky fur and a picky dad! I was impressed with her care for the dogs - she's very mindful of their comfort (both mental and physical), does not crate, does everything by hand (including drying), and is very careful in all stages of grooming. She had no problem with me being around, asking questions, and providing occasional input. The facility is clean, modern, and relaxed. She has a couple of small dogs of her own, who are also very friendly and welcoming. It seems like there is only one visiting dog at a time, so things are very calm, and she lets the dogs socialize before and after the grooming - as long as they're okay with each other. Pricing is very competitive and well worth it. We drove 40 minutes from Natick and 1 hour back and would do it again any day! read more

Cristine rocks! I've been taking my golden doodle Mustard to her before she opened Canine clips. I drive all the way from Boston just to see her because she was so nice and Mustard always leaves looking so handsome, and not like a shaved poodle (which is what he always looked like after I tried some places near my home in Boston). I like that she only grooms one dog at a time and gives them her one and only attention. She listens to what you like and is very consistent. She is definitely worth the 40 min drive! read more

The last time I brought Muffin to a groomer he expressed his anal glands out of sheer terror. After many months, I brought him to Canine Clips as a walk-in for a nail trim and couldn't be more pleased. Staff were very friendly and patient with my little man. Cristine is fabulous. We take our family pets who are aging as well as my husband's & my dog - all different breeds, temperaments & coats. She has referrals for other service providers (vets, dental, etc.), one of our pups has a bad shedding problem so she suggested a de-shed formula for him that is fantastic (nothing else has worked) and she even consulted with my mother about the life quality of our 14 year old golden. There is no other groomer who takes the time to get to know your furry family members and care for them accordingly. As far as some of the negative reviews on here - there is a standard for care & she prioritizes the well-being of the animals in her business. That is what you want in a groomer. read more

I had the worst experience today with the Salon owner who was extremely rude when there was a delay in my 7 month old puppy getting off the car. The owner came running out the door yelling , not wearing a mask and she basically pulled my puppy out the car and informed me that she needs to finish in an hour and will do what she can in the remaining time! Who says that? She basically wanted to charge me in full and not offer full services! I offered to come back another time and she yelled at me saying she will charge my card anyways. When I was trying to explain the reason for the delay she denied service. Customers beware with this lady and this salon because when someone treats humans with such lack of respect it makes one wonder how pets get treated! May be that's why my puppy was so nervous to get off the car! There are so many better options around the town so if you value fundamentals such as courtesy and respect stay away from this place and spare yourself some extremely rude behavior. read more

My dog has been going to Cristine since before she started Canine Clips. It is very clear that her number one priority is the dogs in her care. My dog is very anxious but does not hesitate jumping into Cristine's arms. My favorite memory is getting in the car after dropping off my dog, Cooper. I had made an appointment at this salon to groom 2 of my Yorkies. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to re schedule the appointment. The owner was very short and disrespectful on the phone. She was not accommodating to my availability and did not seem to value me as a new client. In fact she brushed me off stating there are other nice grooming places if I didn't want to visit hers salon. It was a very disappointing experience and being a business owner myself I felt it was important to share the lack of respect this salon has for gaining and retaining new clients. This should be a warm and welcoming places where my dogs feel comfortable yet clearly by the attitude of the owner it's not the case. read more

Just got back from the vet and got a $400 vet bill due to the laziness of this business. My dog has an ear infection + cuts on the bottom of his ears that are now infected. He is also miserable because they had to put a cone on him. Once again reiterating that I will NEVER EVER go back here again and do not recommend this place to anyone else. read more

She did a good job with my Sadie's bath however I was running late picking her up and when I got there (10 minutes before closing time) she went to ring me up and didn't take off the $5 coupon she had advertised on her website and confirmed when dropping Sadie off that it would be taken off. When I asked about it, she said "why don't I charge you $5 for babysitting?" I was extremely put off by her comment as well as her attitude. On the website it specifically says "you can pick them up as soon as you are able." They had called me 10 minutes before I arrived and I told them I was on my way and a few minutes away. I gave her a generous tip in cash because I appreciated the fact that they allowed my dog to stay in their facility until I was able to pick her up. The only reason I gave her 2 stars was because she did a good job but her attitude is the reason I will not go back there. read more
