Ugh I really wanted to say something nice about this business because my mom has been bringing our family dog here for years and never had an issue but this was the very first time I brought my dog here and I'm sad to say but it's also our last... My dog is a small mixed breed and he's a bit territorial so he takes some warming up but that's besides the point. My baby had an appointment to have his nails cut and came out bleeding all over the place. The ladies assured me that they would never hurt my dog and that these things happen sometimes when the nails aren't cut for a long period of time so that kept me calm but it wasn't until I got home and realized how poor of a job they had done on his nails. While I have never taken my dog to this groomer, I live in the area and witnessed a startling situation today. Walking by, there was a gray colored poodle (looking), roughly 15 pounds dog, on the grooming table having their nails clipped. A middle-age woman, with blondish brownish hair, and glasses, was shouting... screaming, really, the dog, so loudly, I could hear it through my AirPods walking by... OUTSIDE. This dog was sitting, and not barking or moving, so what would possess the woman to be so hostile is beyond me. I hope that others heed this warning, and hopefully the owner of the poodle reads this review, and knows to go elsewhere. No animal loving groomer, or person for that matter, would act so viciously. My dog hates getting her nails cut. PetSmart won't work on her bc she struggles too much. The vet muzzled her and it took two vet techs to hold her down and cut her nails and I cried because my dog looked so scared. This place. I do not know what magic happened but it appears it took a single woman to cut her nails, and when my dog came out of the back room she didn't seem scared or panicky. Just happy to see me and happy to get pets from me and the woman who had just cut her nails. Very decent price for a nail trim (also I cant believe my dog sat still enough for a nail grinding). I will absolutely be coming back here... that will be the true test- will my dog be scared to go in next time? We'll see. Cash only!!!! The nail trim was just a walk in appointment. I called and they said they don't schedule nail trims, but the girl told me a good time to try and come in that day since she said they were pretty busy all day. Recently moved to the area and they were the only ones with "availability". Gave me a window of 4hours for a full groom. When I showed up after 4 hours my dog was in a cage with a fan blowing into it. Ended up leaving with him after I witnessed an employee dragging him across the floor by a slip leash. He was still wet and they didn't do anything besides bathe him in the 4 hrs. No nail trim, groom, or teeth brush. Their excuse was they had 20 some dogs to do that day... I have taken my dog here for the last 5+ years. When we first started going there Harley was very scared(big teddy bear rottie). Katy who at the time was bathing the dogs. Made Harley feel right at home with a treat and lots of love. Tammy the groomer at the time did an amazing job with him cutting his nails( he hates that the most). I ask for a simple summer cut with a "teddy bear" face. I even showed a picture. I didn't get that. Instead my pup got a standard poodle cut which I don't like because it doesn't fit her. And the cut was choppy. Katy, I believe is Tami's daughter, didn't listen to my request for the style I wanted or to pull the hair out of my pup's ears. Overall the cut seemed rushed and choppy. There wasn't much technique put into the cut. And since her groom, my pup's hair hasn't laid down, smoothly, like it normally does. I gave one extra star because Tami did go back to pull the hair out of my dog's ears when I pointed it out during pickup. Not worth the $60. I first chose this groomers because they have weekend hours. They also had decent reviews & were a small shop local to me. The two women I spoke to were both very kind. Unfortunately their techniques were not great. I first noticed many areas of my dog that seemed super choppy and uneven. I thought ok whatever not the best place I probably will not go back. THEN I noticed multiple spots on my dogs skin that were bloody from being cut by the trimmers.... This is something that really really upset me because when they brought my dog out they complemented on how well she did. I know accidents happen. But please acknowledge them. No wonder my sweet girl ran passed me and was pushing at the door to get out... another thing is they have you leave your dog there for 4 hours. I love this groomer. I can always get an appointment. The owner seems to really like my dog, and that matters a lot to me. Also, my dog doesn't tremble when he arrives (like at other grooming places he's been to). And I gotta say, I love that there's a window to the street where you can see the kennels and the groomer working on your dog. Upon arrival in this filthy shop for our 9am appointment, we were greeted with rude and unprofessional behavior. When we asked how long it would take, we were told, "We quote four hours." After the time had elapsed with no word from the shop, we returned to check on our dog. They replied without remorse that "she was not ready" and noted that it would take another 90 minutes because "sh** happens here." After over five hours, we found ourselves over $80 poorer as we headed home with a shaved, thirsty, and traumatized golden-doodle. If you love your dog, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! read more

I've been taking my labradoodle there for 10plus years, even left for a while and went back. The love and commitment that the employees have is unmatched. I was fairly bummed when ED left and Tammy and her daughter took over but I could not have been more wrong. Both Tammy and her daughter go above and beyond in the care of my dog. These pups hate being away from us but as soon as we turn onto Cresson street, their ears perk up because they know where they're going. Steel always looks so fresh when we pick him up. And if you know dogs I'll bet you can just picture the big dumb boxer grin on Lucy's face. They're amazing service, great work, affordable prices are a side note to how much my dogs love them. First time using this groomer will never go again and will not recommend. Was told the grooming would cost 40 dollars ended up costing 60. I was fine with that but my pup now has bald patches on her chest and back legs. The woman said she had some matting so she might look a little patchy on her chest. I've never seen anything like it. Looks like she was simply too lazy to brush and cut and decided to just buzz it off AND couldn't even get an even buzz. What a joke. read more

I took my small dog here for the first time and was dissatisfied with the cut he received. I gave 3 stars for the friendly staff and friendly owner but my dog was left with nicks and cuts on his legs and neck and what looks like razor burns on his body. I felt as if the cut was rushed and it's now irritated. I'm still in the process of looking for a good groomer but will not bring him here again. This place was the only place around me with openings last min. Everyone who's seen my dog's cut noticed how uneven the hair on his ears and face were and the marks on his body, neck and the cut on his leg.
