After getting home, I noticed his paw was bleeding and he was unable to walk normally, so I took him to urgent veterinary care the same day. He required treatment, bandaging/cast, and medication. When I contacted the groomer with photos and documentation, the initial response was that she "didn't know," that it "couldn't have been that bad," and that emergency care "wasn't needed." There was no explanation for how the injury occurred or why I wasn't informed. I provided the itemized invoice and proof of payment. There is still no confirmed plan for full reimbursement of the veterinary costs or a refund of the grooming service. Accidents can happen, but not informing a pet owner of an injury and then minimizing it afterward is unacceptable. Pet owners should expect transparency and accountability.

Every time I have come to this location, I have had a bad experience. Not only was I laughed at…read moreduring my first visit and asked why I shaved my dog (who is balding due to pituitary dwarfism) I was informed they never looked at his records. I was asked by the vet at that visit if I googled conditions and decided on my own that my dog had pituitary dwarfism and if I knew how incredibly rare the condition was and he most likely did not have it. I had done a DNA test at a previous vet before I had moved and he was diagnosed there thru a blood panel. They treated me like I had no knowledge of the condition or my dogs healthcare. I had to advise them on the condition and made sure they looked at his records while I was there. The prices have also sky rocketed. I typically get the medication off of the website at reasonable prices. Thyroids tabs are $25 online but picking up from the location, half of the pills were triple the price. I spent close to $100 for about 30 pills. I wasn't allowed back with my dog during an exam and blood work for his thyroid levels. He was given back to me covered in feces, pee, and blood with his arm wrapped with a bandage. They didn't even clean him after he had an accident from being scared. I was talked over on the phone by the secretary and disrespected. I could not even get a word in the entire conversation. I asked my records to be sent to a new vet over six times before they finally were sent over. I couldn't see a different vet without the records going through, and BP wouldn't see me without a ridiculous amount of things my pet did not need. Trying to upsell drastically. I was told my exam was $85 plus. My appointment was looking at being over $1,000. I called Grays-lake animal hospital and their exams are $72.50. I asked about the prices for what my dog needs and it is much cheaper than BP. My vet bill at Grays-lake will be closer to $500. Half of what BP said. Grays-lake also took the time to ask all of the vets if they have experience with dwarfism to help my dog live his best possible life. Would not recommend this location to anyone.
