They seemed to do an OK job & they were reasonably priced. But I wanted the groomer to be closer to home. We always passed by Pets & Things in downtown Wauconda but there were no Yelp reviews to determine their credibility. Then a neighbor of ours mentioned she took both of her poodles to Pets & Things for a grooming appointment & they did a great job. So my husband & I decided to try them out. After making an appointment, we took our two dogs (who are such scardy cats) in for their Spa day. The owner asked us what we wanted in their hair cuts. She explained that she takes notes so if there is anything we did not like, she would not repeat it the next grooming appointments. I appreciated that because sometimes the other groomers did not completely listen. When we came back to pick them up, my dogs looked great (I'm trying to avoid using the adjective, adorable). They not only have a bandana around their neck but they leave with a "new hair cut" scent. I'm very happy with this groomer & their prices are very reasonable. Warning: They state they accept credit cards but prefer cash or checks. It's probably because of the fees the credit card companies charge.

My dog passed the initial introduction phase of her interview and I left her for the day. I loved watching her interact with the camp bow wow team & other dogs in the playgroup on their cameras. When I came to pick her up, she came out so happy and was loving up on the staff, her whole butt was wiggling around. They brought me out a gift bag and a super cute picture of her on her first day. They offer two great "first timer" special packages. Needless to say, she has gone back for 2 days of daycare since and absolutely loves it! The staff is friendly and always has sweet things to say about my dog. The facility is squeaky clean. Their hours are perfect. I'm ecstatic that I found them! Highly recommend!

I don't think I'm super fussy, but with my dog's curly coat it has been difficult to find someone that can cut it to make him look like he isn't homeless. The ladies at Shanti Canine Spa did a great job on him and the cost was extremely reasonable. I was truly shocked. It rained overnight and the boys got into mud, so when I asked if they had time to groom the foster pup, not at all expecting a yes, they were able to take him very last minute, too. He doesn't like his paws touched, but they took their time with him and did a fabulous job. I am so beyond happy with the service and friendliness of the staff!! Henry was comfortable and did well with Amanda and wasn't running for the hills to get out of there upon pick up, which says a lot! The prices are reasonable as doodles are high maintenance dogs and doodle owners know this. Henry looked great and was fresh and clean. We are happy we found Shanti Canine Spa and we will be brining Henry here from now on!

I had previously taken my dog to a groomer, he would get stressed out walking back and being leashed up on the grooming table, and sometimes try to nip at the groomers which made it a hard experience for both of us and at a lot of places you couldn't get a nail trim without booking an additional service that my dog doesn't need. When we found KD nail trims all of the stress and anxiety around nail appointments subsided! Nail trims take less than 5 mins, my dog is happy and comfortable, and I get to keep him on a regular schedule without having to leave my house. Highly recommend for busy dog parents or those with sensitive pups!

This review has been a long-time in happening but it's mostly my fault for not knocking it out…read moreweeks ago. I was late to the pandemic dog/puppy party, I started work with a new shop that didn't require me to do the regular run & gun previous shops had me doing, and I finally felt ready to get a new puppy after two years of grieving on the loss of my last girlie. As soon as my new girlie had all her shots, one of the things I wanted to start doing early is getting socialized with as many different dogs as I could with her. Woodstock Canine was the first I visited and the only one that would take her as young as she was at the time. As time went by, she also visited a few other doggie daycare locations, one I avoided will go nameless, but it was a huge deal on Nextdoor about how they treat their four-legged clients and I promptly scratched them off the list. Another doggie daycare was going along great until I had to bolt out of town for a business emergency and let her stay the night at this 'other' location, I had gotten an alert from their staff that she wasn't walking great and was wondering if I could take her to my vet. The vet discovered that whatever the daycare/boarding facility used to clean the place burned a couple of her pads and I was out $900 in vet bills because their staff was probably more interested in Facebook updates than client health. One other scare sealed it for me never taking her there again. Woodstock Canine Clubhouse is exclusively where she goes for daycare and an emergency boarding if I get stuck with something, or I forgot about a party happening and didn't add it to Google Calendar. My girlie starts bouncing around when I make the right turn onto the road where Woodstock Canine Clubhouse is on and as soon as we're parked, she can't wait to get inside and play with her friends with the staff and all her other four-legged friends on the inside. At the end of the day, and as soon as we're barely out of their lot, she's crying that I'm taking her away from her friends, but that doesn't last long as she's fast asleep on the drive home. After dinner at home, she's fast asleep until around midnight when she asks to do her business (and dinner has digested) where she makes her way to the couch, bed, sometimes the crate and is back into a night of sleep only I can dream about having. Don't take my word on this, give your dog a day off and give Woodstock Canine Clubhouse a try, and see if your results mirror mine, I'm certain you won't be disappointed.
