Absolutely the best cookie EVER! I chose the chocolate chip cookie, and it was large and thick. There was no way to finish it in one sitting, so I munched on it throughout our visit to all the stores on the strip. Such a nice treat, and I'll definitely be back to get another chocolate chip cookie at the Cane River Kitchenware. I love your store full of beautiful kitchenware, coffee, and oils, and it's one place I can find exactly what I've been looking for. read more

This has always been one of my favorite stores on front street. It's the mom and pop small town cooking store. Coffee beans, vinegar, soups, dips, sweets, and let's not forget the actual cooking supplies like whisk, cutlery, and pots and pans. You can get ground coffee beans in a huge variety of flavors, there's a new Vinaigrette station that you can get a bottle or refill yours, there's a section in the back of the store with cooked samples like gumbo, étouffée, corn chowder, cheesecake, and other tasty treats, with the mixes for sell. I tried a few and the bbq shrimp and grits were my fav so I got a mix to take home. The girls are all nice and friendly. The aromas of this store were wafting out it's front door and down the sidewalk luring customers inside. I was one of those customers. As soon as I walked, I was overtaken with the amount of kitchen gadgets and food items. This is one of those great little stores that has everything about food, whether it's the gadgets you use or the seasoning and sauces you cook with. One of the girls behind the counter instantly greeted me. She offered me a sample of a chai latte and of some chicken/sausage gumbo that was simmering in the crockpot. The girl behind the counter was a true salesman. She convinced me to buy an extra seasoning packet. I was only going to buy the etouffee pakcet, but she convinced me that I really needed to buy one of the gumbo as well. So, I did. She got me to hand over an extra $4.95. But I'm not complaining. I can't wait to cook up some of that gumbo. If you're visiting this quaint little town, you need to stop by this store. read more

The woman in the back who is making them and providing other food samples said she makes the best in town because she adds a lot of pecans. I'm thinking yeah sure, but she does...no lie! I absolutely love this store. I live in this town so I am able to shop here when ever I like. I try not to go too often though because I always buy more than I intended. I love the spiced honey chai tea and you really should try some. It's great to go on Saturdays because they have all kinds of samples cooked for customers to sample. read more

This store is great! The owner's daughter was working today and she was very friendly and helpful, but did not hover. We tried two different coffee flavored for free, and some of their dip/cheese all mixes. There are kitchen and cooking utensil/aids as well as food products. They will also ship to us!! read more

What a Fabulous Store!!! My Husband and I went 2 Days In a Row while we were there in town for a weekend getaway ! The awesome Sales people were Fabulous and so welcoming !!! Enjoyed the Saturday Morning Taste Testing in their cooking Kitchen ! Got to sample alot of their wonderful products and have lovely chats with amazing folk !
