This is the second I Love Sugar location I have visited and while both are packed with all things candy, this location literally has candy from floor to ceiling, and wall to wall. Half the walls are lined with candy dispensers with hard, sour, gummy and other variety of candy, while the rest of the store is filled with chocolates, specialty candies, nostalgic items (candy cigarettes!), branded candies, comedically large versions of classics (gummy bears, blow pops) and all the other random candies, snacks and drinks you can imagine. Pricing is a bit high, but this is expected for a candy shop sitting in the biggest tourist attraction in the panhandle. By the pound candy runs you around $15/lb, and while they have a few "good deals", most of the stuff is overpriced. But I get it...the wow factor of walking into a place like this as a kid... Service was okay. Passed by many associates while shopping, but none ever interacted with us. Cashier was friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well kept, and the gummy bears out front make for a great photo op! Overall, fun spot and worth a trip in if not for anything more than exploring!

Everything felt fresh, welcoming, and well cared for, which immediately set the tone for a great experience. Cleanliness really matters to me, especially when visiting with my kids...and Sugar Planet exceeded expectations! What truly made our visit unforgettable, though, was David. He was phenomenal. My 10 year old son had a LOT of excitement and curiosity, and David handled all of it with incredible patience and genuine kindness, especially when my son was checking out and counting his money. He took his time, never rushed us, and made my son feel comfortable, heard, and important. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does and cares about the people who walk through the door. David's friendly attitude and calm, positive energy turned what could have been a quick stop into a really special experience for us. My kids left smiling, excited, and already asking when we can come back, which says everything. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming place with outstanding customer service, Sugar Planet is it. And if you're lucky enough to be helped by David, you're guaranteed an even better experience. We will absolutely be returning and recommending this place to everyone we know.

I was overjoyed to find SkyBar's... they do not sell them regularly in stores anymore, or at least not where I live - used to have them as a kid in New England. I got an assortment of truffles, s'more's dipped chocolate treat, and Dubai chocolate to try. So much to look at in here! Small mix of some retro candies and some newer trends- if you're looking to spend some money on a novelty experience, there is definitely something for everybody here. The cashier was also very kind and professional!

My wife and I had thought…read morethat the name Sweet Cone Alabama was fun and so whenever we had promised our twins some ice cream, we decided to head on over. When we got there no one else was in the store and we ultimately had the shop to ourselves for the 15 minutes or so that we were there. The shop itself had a bright and clean design with pastel pink striped walls, white shelving packed with candy sold by the pound, and neatly labeled bins with choices like lemonheads, peach rings, and tootsie rolls. A seating area near the large windows offered natural light and simple white tables with matching chairs, while the hand-dipped ice cream counter featured colorful flavors like cotton candy and cookie monster, all presented behind clear display panels. For ice cream on this day my son ended up ordering the playdough with the blue cone while my daughter went with the raspberry sorbet with the pink cone. Be careful here as regular cones cost $0.99 and colored cones cost $1.69. So the total for my kids' two cones was $17.11--woof. I was able to taste both of the ice creams and thought my daughter's raspberry sorbet was a nice balance of raspberry and sweet and was pretty good. My son's ice cream was a bit of a disappointment though, as it only had one of the cookie mix-ins. The bottom line for me is that I wouldn't head back here again in the future. Both ice creams were pretty basic considering the premium price, and it felt like a discount airline with all the add-ons you could do
