All of these classes have been great and I highly recommend trying them. First of all, I'm new in town and don't know anyone so I took my very first pole class by myself. I was nervous, but the instructor, Autumn and other students were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. Secondly, I don't have any gymnastics or dance background, but Autumn structures the class to accommodate each student's ability. So if you're feeling like you're not capable of learning pole dance I assure you that you are and there's a class at this studio that is suitable for your needs. Also, with the price and parking it's incredibly accessible. The price is really reasonable. The intro package was the best deal around. At the time, (not sure if it's still going on) it was just $30 for three classes. The parking situation is THE BEST! They have two lots right in front with open free parking. I couldn't write this review without mentioning the beauty of this studio. It's on the 4th floor of the historic Yardly building in Union City. It has a spacious loft feel with high ceilings, lots of windows and city skyline views of the Freedom Tower. It's the perfect space to inspire movement and feel empowered. Lastly, it's important to mention COVID precautions. Masks are recommended and most people wear them. The poles are set 6 feet apart and are wiped down with alcohol frequently throughout class. I always feel really safe there and appreciate the precautions taken. I feel like I'm just starting a long journey with pole dancing and I'm really happy to begin here with Lovely Lioness. I sincerely recommend giving this studio a try because I think you might fall in love with pole dancing and their community the same way that I have.

We're not new to the apparatus but it's been a while so we were happy to check out an intro class. It was very easy to sign up online. First intro class is only $25 for a 75 minute class. It was easy to check in upon arrival and we got a brief intro to the studio and where we needed to go. Rachel was a great instructor and lead us with a thorough warm up and introduction to the aerial hammock. Her cuing was immaculate and she was able to meet and honor each and every student at wherever they are, which was much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to return to take other classes here and may pop in again next time I'm in town.

Wish I could give ZERO STARS for the lady at the front desk…read more.. I was a new customer, and in town for business. I found this studio and had been dying to try a silk class. So I booked With excitement. Unfortunately, I had a prior therapeutic appointment for my shoulder pain and was advised to not use my shoulder for the rest of the night. I walked to this establishment, as I wanted to see if it would be limited use of my shoulder and arrived 30 mins in advance of the class start time. I wanted let them know that I may not be able to take the class but was willing to try but needed some more info. The lady at the desk was SUPER rude and snarky stating that she didn't know and said she only took that class once. When I asked if I could possible come back tomorrow as I was in town for two more days, She then proceeded to tell me that I took a spot that could have been used and they don't allow that making sure I understood I wasted a space in that persons class. She eventually changed her mind and credited me after chastising me about taking a spot. Another WONDERFUL woman interjected and was so helpful. She taught one of the hoop classes. She was wonderful. I will WASTE that $25 after that experience and will not be back. There are to many places like this around and if they treat you like that as a NEW CLIENT, I could only imagine how they would treat you if you're a regular. Funny thing, I've owned my own boutique fitness studio in Westchester for the last 15 years and would NEVER treat a client/new client this way. People like this ruin a lot of good things, you never know what people are going through but professionalism is a virtue in a costumer based business.

I came across this studio through ClassPass and it was a awesome experience. Note: there are two different poles that are practiced on (chrome and silicone). I've tried their Choreography with Beginner Pole and it was a super duper fun experience (silicone). I was quite nervous since I've never used a spinning pole or silicone and it was cool. A lot of twirling for the basic basic learners AND sooo worth it. Mary is sooo patient with each student and it's open level (Im pretty much beginner level lol) It's based inside a warehouse (I think), instructions are clear in getting there and it's not hard to miss since it's fully decked out from the outside and inside. (So classy, so sassy) I definitely recommend to those who are interested (it's hard deciding whether I like silicone or chrome now haha)

We stretched, conditioned, learned to get confident with our desire walks, a few tricks and the grand finale which was a combination of everything we learned and a chance to record our progress to a song of our choice. I purchased the 8 class package and they allow 45 days to complete use, before the class pass expires. SIGNING UP They use the zen planner app to schedule classes which is super easy and convenient! I love this! PARKING When I arrived, I found parking in the front. Finding parking can be hard in this area, so arrive maybe 20-25 minutes ahead of class start to be safe. THE SPACE The space is very cute. The right size, you don't feel crowded, and very clean! There are lockers for your belongings, a shoe rack for shoes, a basket for yoga mats...it's well organized! CLASS We started with a stretch and some basic workout moves on a yoga mat. There are 5 poles, and a max of 10 people to a class, so two people share a pole during class. Which is good because you get a break to listen more and rest when it's not your turn to dance. I believe my instructor's name was Jenn. She was very fun, gave good instructions, and helpful! She taught us a choreography that we did twice all the way through at the end of class. She encouraged us to record or final dances. She mentioned they'd be doing the same choreography for 2 weeks, which is great because "practice makes perfect"!! I'll definitely be back to perfect the choreo we learned!
