We just happen to be passing by when my sister and mom decided to check this store out! It's pretty amazing! I saw candies in here that I didn't realize we could buy in Canada! A couple of years ago, my friend asked me to buy her some Galaxy chocolate in London! I was surprised to see this store fully stocked with these chocolates! Totally saves me a trip to Europe! There were so many kinds of candies in here! I was literally like a kid in this candy store! Some of the prices were a bit on the expensive side, like $2.49 for a tiny Galaxy chocolate bar, but I know this chocolate is imported! It even said 1 Euro on the packaging! If you have a sweet tooth and want to try something new and different, come check this store out!

The Candy Bouquet is located on Main Street downtown St. Albert. This gem of a little shop specializes in British imports. But has loads of other options of delectable sweets to choose from. Most of the candy is just mixed about the store randomly and it's a lot of fun checking out all the yummy things you might not have seen since your childhood. Behind the counter they sell a variety of candy in bulk. A lot of which is also specialty items that you won't find in a grocery store. But beware there are a few items that are outrageously overpriced. Happy shopping.

Wow, I really need to get back to the UK! Until then, this is as close as it gets when it comes to sweets! Keep in mind these are imported goods and as such the price is a bit higher than your convenience store chocolate bar. But is it ever worth it! I have a sensitivity/allergy to soy. If you check the ingredients of practically everything chocolate in North America, it contains soy lecithin. It's horrible because I love chocolate! Gratefully in England they don't add unnecessary ingredients to their candy. Last time I was there, which was well over a decade ago, I fell in love with Cadbury's Flake bar. So, today I got one. I also noticed something interesting - you know Cadbury's Easter Cream Eggs right? They have them available in chocolate bar form! Seriously! The same filling and chocolate only not in egg shape. I had to get one simply for the novelty of it. An interesting tidbit for those with celiac disease, I've been told that only North American liquorice contains gluten. So, get some good stuff at the Candy Bouquet! This store is the real deal. I got there just before close and didn't even have a chance to see everything but what I did see was amazing. Besides, stores like these must have a time limit as far as my personal shopping goes.

Awesome store for a taste of the old country. Warm and friendly staff. The black pudding and pies are a treat

Their Turkish Delight bars are British, with very soft turkish delight inside surrounded by a thin layer of British chocolate.

I…read morewalked in and immediately felt a wave of nostalgia -- the shelves were filled with so many of the British snacks I carried home in my luggage when I visited England in January this past year. I picked up several packs of Walkers Cheese & Onion crisps, along with Border biscuits and a few other favourites. To know that I can get almost everything here -- from Branston Pickle to Marmite -- is exactly the kind of comfort I didn't realize I needed. I've missed my Walkers Cheese and Onion crisps, and the tiny Walkers bags are perfect for enjoying the flavour without overindulging. Julia, who helped me the other day, was exceptional. She mentioned that the Marmite sold at Superstore may not have the same ingredients as the UK version, so now I know to compare labels next time. That kind of knowledge and care makes such a difference, especially for those of us who look for authentic British products. This shop is a gem for anyone who loves British snacks or has memories tied to them. I'm so glad I found it, and I'll definitely be returning whenever I need a little taste of the UK. I did my homework and Marmite is about half price at Loblaw's stores like No Frills compared to British Pantry. From my photo comparison, the product appears to be the same authentic UK version, making Loblaw's a great option for Marmite lovers looking for value."

When you first step in I admit it is kind of a neat feeling to see all the candy containers and other candy themed knick knacks that they sell but after that initial feeling wears off there isn't much to get excited about when it comes to this place. First off even with two people working I received no greetings or offers of assistance which was surprising as there were alot of little ones in the store and you would think you would want at least one person on the floor making sure people are looked after and candies are not being sampled by over eager little hands. I tried to keep my purchase on the small side as I couldn't find any signage near the candy indicating what the price per pound was and I didn't want to get a shock at the till. After making my selections I brought my bag to the till and it rang up for $3.25 which doesn't sound all that bad when you compare it to other goodies in the mall but my problem was the fact that everything in my bag was stuff you could find at the convenience store for five cents a piece. If I went by convenience store prices what I had in my bag was worth $1.35 which isn't even half of what I paid here. Finally the biggest slap in the face was how everything tasted. When you pay more I think you should expect a higher level of quality but what I got wouldn't even be considered acceptable let alone high quality. My lime bottles were so stale it took about two full minutes of chewing to get it broken down enough to the point I was comfortable swallowing and the fuzzy peaches seemed to be a day or two away from creating a similar issue. I had read the reviews prior to coming in here and really wanted to be a white knight finding the stores good qualities and hopefully writing at least a three star review but my fellow yelpers were correct in their prior evaluations. The price, service, and quality of goods here are DREADFUL and you would be much better off spending your money somewhere else!

Not to be confused with B Sweet, the candy shop near the entrance by the bus terminal/skating rink,…read moreCandy Candy is a little kiosk-shop on the first floor near the windows overlooking the splash park (east end of the sea lions tank, near the escalators, a newly-installed elevator, and those weird water massage booths). It's really tiny but packed full with an assortment of candy - a bunch of Jelly Bellys along one wall by the cash, and bulk chocolate, gummies, and bonbons around the other two. In terms of gummies they had some interesting ones I hadn't seen before such as Haribo-brand sour strawberry (yum) and sour cherry (ok) slices, and sour lemonade-blue raspberry coke bottles (in addition to a variety of other kinds of coke bottles, sour or not). The bulk stuff is interesting in that you can't open the container to pick out what you like (kind of a pain if you don't like all the colours of say, the dino sour gummies) - instead there is a rake-like arm in the plastic bin which you use to pull the candy towards a slot at the front. Once you've got what you want there, you can place your bag (grab one by the door) under the slot, open it up, and it will drop in your bag. I guess this helps prevent unwanted snacking. They also sell varieties of chocolate covered fruit and nuts, and those powdered bonbons that I love, which taste kind of like fruit Mentos and I've seen popularized at wedding candy bars (they have black currant, strawberry, lemon, watermelon, blue raspberry, and cherry).Scattered around the store is a bunch of other candy that will probably bring you back to your childhood, like giant jawbreakers, and Bubblelicious bubblegum (strawberry, grape, watermelon, or bubble gum flavours). Price-wise I found it on the expensive side, though I do like that it is a flat rate for all bulk candy ($3.29/100g except Jelly Belly at $3.39/100g), so you can easily mix everything in one bag. It is certainly more expensive than Bulk Barn but if you're craving just a bit of candy that isn't your usual selection, I would recommend coming here.

Having been to several candy stores in several cities in the last few weeks, I feel I can leave a fair review for Rocket Fizz based on one visit. Visually the store layout is very appealing. Items are beautifully displayed on various countertops, and cleanly organized into wall strips. Bottles upon bottles of colourful carbonated beverages of every flavour adorn the lower shelves, and are also available in two large coolers next to the checkout. I'd actually be a little nervous to bring a child or a clumsy person with me! The place is spotlessly clean and very wholesome looking in a 1950s diner kind of way. As other reviewer noted, there are no loose or bulk candies, other than salt water taffy. This is probably a good thing, COVID notwithstanding. Who really wants to eat the stale raunchy candy halfway down a pile or a giant jar anyway? There are some candies which typically come bulk that are already neatly packaged and on display, but not much selection. I was a little disappointed with the selection overall. For example, all the KitKat and other chocolate products seemed to be quite heavily focused on white chocolate. There was a small KitKat section near the back of the store, but there were only 2 flavours, green tea and sake. Other notable flavours were birthday cake and apple pie. I feel like they got stuck with the flavours that are lousy sellers. There's a small jar of little one-bite KitKats at the checkout, yet they don't sell them in packs. Huh? One thing they had in abundance was Walkers toffee and liquorice products, including little liquorice gummy Scottie dogs. The Hammonds chocolate bars come in a delicious range of flavours, like coconut cream pie. Although it's beautiful and undoubtedly mind-blowing for any kid who walks in, wandering around the store gets old fast. It's organized like an Irish video store from 20 years ago - random titles everywhere, not much organized into categories, lots of product repetition. It makes it look like they have a lot of selection, when actually it's pretty limited. Fun for a visit, but you'll probably leave feeling like you really didn't find what you were looking for. Didn't have the selection of other, smaller candy stores I've visited recently. I'm a bit disappointed with Rocket Fizz, but there are good points to it. The soda pops we tried were NOT one of them!
