My husband brought me here to buy some valentines chocolates. He was made aware that Sweet Lollapalooza is actually the 2nd best chocolatier in the WORLD!! 2nd to one in France apparently Here in Alberta Edmonton. Incredible. It is a small shop in Manulife building downtown. The front part of the store was small, they had pre-packaged chocolates and goodies. We got lucky, because after we were being served it got busy with a lineup behind us. Service was great. Staff offered us their help promptly. The young lady was attentive and she knew a lot about the chocolates. Especially when I asked her for her darkest chocolate percentage chocolates and avoiding all the milk chocolates. She also laughed at my jokes. She provided a great experience. Why is sweet lollapalooza the 2nd best in the world? Because they have genetically pure Nacional chocolate!! When my husband and I ate our chocolates each piece was incredible! Very different from store bought chocolates, Purdys, Godiva, Bernard Callabeaut. These were the finest chocolates I've ever eaten. We had the pure nacional chocolate, and WOW, now I know what actual pure chocolate tastes like. So fine and decadent with rich chocolate taste. Each chocolate had a soft shell when you bite into it and each had a smooth and soft consistency. We handpicked our chocolates from a glass case. Bought 9 pieces for 21.00 1. Bitter orange (not bitter at all) 2.Extra bitter (Not even bitter) a winner for me 3. Passion fruit (Best flavoured infused chocolate) they use a double fermented process apparently 4. Pure Nacional (droool, my fave) 5. Japanese curry 6. Raspberry noir 7. Yuzu kiss 8. Raspberry caramel 9.? cant remember Highly recommend getting chocolates here for loved ones, close friends and even yourself. My new favourite chocolate shop!! Also note: I have a dairy allergy which is moderate in reaction however I can get lucky with dark chocolate and eating same with high %, when I ate all 4 dark chocolates that were recommended by the young lady, I did not have a reaction at all which I was not expecting. But try at your own discretion if you have a an allergy. Sometimes I just get lucky.

If you have ever been lucky enough to have had chocolate from the great French Chocolatier Pierre Herme in France, then you will know how extremely fortunate we are to have Sweet Lollapalooza in Edmonton, Alberta Canada! There are very few people in life that are just magnificient at their life's work; hence, the Masters of Art, Geniuses of Science and so on. It is patently obvious that Brett Roy, the Chocolatier of this establishment is one of these people: a master! His chocolates are truly gems and taste like nothing else in the world of chocolate. If you think B. Callebaut is the best -- I would liken Callebaut chocolates and Sweet Lollapalooza chocolates to drinking sparkling white grape juice to drinking a gorgeous glass of Cristal Champagne! So, yes the chocolates are expensive but in this case you most certainly do get what you pay for and if you want to impress anybody -- get them the best...

Once in awhile I would have an urge to try new place without checking for a review; challenge myself for new things, hunting for some undiscovered place hoping to be amazing. So after lunch and a pleasant window shopping at the Holt Renfrew with a friend, I allowed myself to be lost at a very quiet building in downtown that is connected to the City Centre mall. When I noticed a petite chocolatier with a very generous looking man in a chef suit, I went right in without any hesitation. The man greeted us with a smile and asked us how our day was going even though as we entered he was in a middle of conversation with his friend. We picked about 13 chocolates and paid $27-ish including the tax. Yes, its pricey compared to store bought goods like a KitKat but your taste buds will thank you later. One of the chocolate we picked had a rum flavor and within a bite i could feel the alcohol coming in, I gotta say I felt little tipsy too for a second. The chocolates weren't too sugary and the taste of chocolate was there without too much bitterness ( ofcourse if you like the bitter taste, you can get them in a dark chocolate ). Also the treat melted in my mouth just right without the clumpiness you would normally get in a cheap or not rightly processed chocolate. Although I will be hitting the gym after my delightful visit to the Sweet Lollapalooza for sure, I have no regrets and the truth is I will do it all over again.

Wonderful chocolates locally made and the owner helped me choose a selection. I'd go back.

Cafeteria is a very cozy and charming place to eat and drink for locals, and to meet family and friends. I drive in front of the shop for so many years, telling myself to go try this place - I finally did, and I was happy I did. I was greeted by a very friendly and welcoming employee!! I took a large latte coffee to go, with a Mexican pulled pork sandwich, which was accompanied with a small portion of pickled onions. The onions were a delicious addition to the sandwich!! I used to drink a lot of lattes in my early adult years when I was a university student. I considerably reduced my consumption of the coffee over the years, but once in a while I drink one. The latte at ch.Cafeteria is very tasty - it was very hot and fresh. The coffee shop is cozy and comfortable. It has table for both small and big groups. There is music in the background but isn't too loud, making it easy to have a talk with your coffee drinking companion(s). The shop also sell sweet treats such as chocolates and cookies. You may also find hot and cold drinks, and a good menu as well, as you can see in the photos provided. Coffee beans can also be bought there. A good amount of art and craft works are sold at the shop, this encouraging local talents. Finally, ch. Cafeteria is a very pleasant spot to have a drink and food, to read a book or meet with friend or a date.

In fact, that's what brought me in to the store - I have a music CD I was curious if they would be willing to stock. They happily took it! Another wall has shelves filled with the huge variety of the chocolate bars they make. They use only the best quality chocolate. I got the dark chocolate raspberry as that is one of my favourite flavour combinations, and it did not disappoint. For $10 you get a pretty decent portion. The drink list has both hot and cold drinks featuring coffee and chocolate. You can pick what kind of chocolate (dark, milk, white, hazelnut, and I think one more), and what kind of milk. I had an iced dark chocolate mocha, and it was flavourful without being too sweet. I sipped it slowly for most of the rest of the afternoon. If you are a chocolate lover, put this on your "must-try" list now.

Super easy to order online and they're really good with email alerts, replying to questions and the pick up instructions. They're only operating out of the Sherwood Park location now but I promise you, Jacek chocolate definitely has curbside pick up down to a fine art. I pulled up, hadn't even called the number on the instructions and someone was already near the vehicle asking about my order. It came out in a lovely bag to be handed through my window. It included a printout of the order so I could do a quick check everything was there without having to go through my phone. I got an assortment of chocolate bars as I had a few people I wanted to leave an Easter surprise at their door and for some future thank you gifts. Well maybe one for me too! The Whisky bar was a big hit with my friends! I also ordered some standards (Frank, Audrey, Marguerite) and some new to me (Okalani & Whiskey). So it will be interesting to know what the general opinion is from everyone but for those that already received their Easter bunny (or I joked Jacek rabbit) surprise have already devoured them. No matter what, I think it's always good to have some chocolate on hand. So you might as well have very good chocolate if you're going to eat a sweet. Also, I should add that next year I'll have to think about ordering chocolate a month before. Then I can get an opportunity to try out those decadent eggs, mini eggs and other Easter items such as the rabbits (they were mostly sold out by the time I placed my order thinking about our yelp online event). The little Easter lambs (cookies & cream) I was able to order for the kids were placed in one long box and were reported to be super delicious! Definitely will be ordering directly from the store again. Over all simple process and such a great way to still celebrate Easter in a very social distant way.

I love the variety of fun other items they carry- definitely vibes of a Makers space with pickled goods, hilarious sponges, take and bake cookie and cake kits, jewelry, and more. A great idea if you're looking to put together a gift and want a one stop shop. We had a hard time deciding between their cookies vs their cupcakes but in the end settled for a 1/2 dozen cupcakes ($24) otherwise it would have been $4.50 per cupcake. Cookies were priced at $2.50 per cookie. I loved the flavours of the cupcakes and am always drawn to the carrot cupcakes with cream cheese icing. But we also tried the Oreo/cookies and cream cupcake, the coconut cupcake with coconut buttercream with cookies and cream cheese icing, the chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream, and the red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing. Very moist and rich cupcakes. In the past I've bought the cookies that were pre baked in the freezer section and these were actually also very tasty and a great idea so to with your extra cookies. And I've tried the kits as well and always enjoyed the results.

Walking out was so distracting bc so many items caught my eye. Definetly worth another visit. I love supporting local and this cookie place is the best in edmonton area! Ps.
