Cupcake flavor salt water taffy. Gone before I step foot back in my house. I should buy 2 pounds next time. My oldest child saves his pennies and nickels so that he will be able to pay me back for his watermelon taffy. We were once upset because it wasn't the sour watermelon and plain ol watermelon (sweet) We were so sad. But we went back! Ta-DA! We got him 1/2 pound. Happy child day 1. Day 2...well lets just say that an 8 year old should not eat that much taffy in 2 hours. ;) I love this place and everytime we go back we buy enough for the free red bag. We have 6 now. I've been seriously craving a delicious Cocopotamus Truffle ( a delectable chocolate truffle that is rich and creamy) ever since I visited Candy Addict. They carry so many treats (new, classic, foreign) there is always something new to try! I was happy to find they offer specialty treats like Milka bars, bacon chocolate, and a variety of Haribo gummies too. Their staff is so knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help locate your favorites amongst thousands of choices! The store is conveniently located on Mill Ave, it's easy access to the light rail and just a few minute stroll from ASU campus. I can't wait to go back soon! :) read more

Traveling here with my family and came into this with a happy excited attitude only to be stared down by an unfriendly employee working the counter.. I have become an adict of Candy Addict since it has opened. They know me by name! I pop in randomly and get myself a taffy treat! At times, the owner has suggested a tasty chocolate treat and it is actually good! At times, I bring my family in from Mesa for us to get an after dinner treat. They have some neat candy and are always shopping for more varieties; some that I have not seen in ages, or I have never heard of before. The owner is very pro-Tempe and Mill Avenue business which is great for the area! Bring your family to this tasty treat - you too will become a candy addict! I highly recommend this store. read more

This place has some good candies so I'll give hem that. But the customer service is terrible. The sales guy held the food at his side of the table after scanning without putting it in a bag or handing it to me. So obviously I'll be waiting for that cashier to give me my candies. Then, he said" why are you still standing here? If you don't need anything, you gotta move!" And rolled his eyes on me like he's a girl or something. And I'm like "wow", apparently people like these deserves a job? I can find a homeless guy and have better work ethics than this. I came in on 8/19/16 around 8:00pm. This guy should be fired!!!!! I'm pretty sure this would be he same guy Dan T. below mentioned to as well. If you want to retain your customers, this guy must have some sort of disciplinary treatment. read more

Not what we expected. Everything is over priced and some of the empty candy stands had dead crickets on them. I saw at least 2 with dust on them which means they've been there for awhile! The store isn't that busy to where staff don't have time to dust. read more

It's hard to walk down Mill and not pop into this place for a few white chocolate truffles. They have a huge selection of candy, including some that I haven't seen since I was a kid. The shop is charming and the staff is wonderful. read more

This store is either buying overstocked/damaged candy or this is counterfeit. Some of the worst candy bars I've had in my life. I took a bite out of my Salty Nut Roll and tasted dry, old, and burned. Like it had been sitting in the sun for a week. I unwrapped a Reese's buttercup to to find the bottom of the wrapper covered in some sort of oil or grease. This one also tasted burned or old, I can't really describe but something was really wrong with the candy. The Twix bar was okay but I'm not sure why most of their stuff tastes awful. read more

We stumbled across Candy Addict as we were strolling around town. The folks who work (maybe own?) this place are really friendly and engaging. The candy is a walk down memory lane--100Grand best candy ever and they had it! There's a huge taffy collection, gum, and all sorts of other candies that you can imagine. We had fun and had nice conversation with the workers/owners there. I also like supporting non-chain mom and pop places. Some yelpers mentioned that the prices are higher. That is correct, but it's impossible to find some of these candy bars anywhere so it's worth paying a slight premium. read more

Kudos to management for hiring a grade A hottie like Dakota she's super funny and nice she actually convinced me to make a yelp, we had a very in depth conversation about how yelp has saved her life so I finally caved in and decided why not make my first review a shout out to her, a sort of homage I guess. Anyway did I mention she was super cute? She's really good at getting me to buy more candy than I originally planned to and showed me these super cool candies that taste just like kool aid that I'm basically addicted to now. Anyway if you're ever strolling down mill on a weeknight stop by and hang out with Dakota she's super chill and funny. Candy addict is a great place to bring your friends and family. Not to Mention all the types of candy they carry! At about 1500 different types of candies your bound to find what you're looking for. They have everything from black licorice, wax lips, cadbury from over seas, and traditional gummy bears. And they have different sizes from original to bulk size. Everytime I have been in they give me what they call a "reverse type" where they round all the change up so the customer does not have to carry pennies. Also when you leave you are given another piece of candy for you and the rest of your group. Plus all little kids upon arrival receive a free balloon with a piece of taffy tied to the end. If this is not enough the store is very clean well organized and colorful. Not to mention the cute girls who work there and are always ready to help whom ever comes in. I recommend candy addict to anyone who wants to joke with a business owner, fulfill a sweet tooth craving, or talk a walk through memory lane. Candy addict is an incredible store, and I love it. read more

They have a pretty good selection of candy! I like the Cadbury items best. They have a lot of candy from different countries, which is fun to browse. I wish they had a better 'bag it yourself' selection, maybe with jelly beans and sour belts and gummies, etc. Also, the staff here is very friendly! read more

Love this place! I have been coming here for a few years now, and the always have a delicious selection of sweets! Stop in before a movie on Mill Ave great prices on candy compared to theater prices. They have a large selection of candies and sweets. They have a lot of candy that you can't find anywhere else! Huge selection of candy, which makes satisfying your sweet tooth even easier! The loyalty card allows you to get a discount after you spend a certain amount and you can also get free salt water taffy! The young woman who works here on the weekend or at night is wonderful as well! read more
