This was my first purchase with Canby Landscaping, my initial contact with them was great, very helpful & patient (the ONLY reason they are getting 2 stars) . But when I called to get some information, the girl (yes Girl, respect is earned) she was SO rude, if I hadnt been representing my company, I would have told her all about herself. Apparently, there are 2 numbers - one for product and business phone - I had no idea. So when I made my inquiry she rudely said, we don't know anything about that, thats business. So I asked her how can I contact the business office, she rattled it off and hung up. When I called the business office, RUDE- again! I guess this their company culture. Sheesh! I guess its a great place to purchase MANURE and be treated like MANURE. I won't be back. read more

First time using Canby Landscape Supply...there are other places we have used in the past but they had exactly what I needed. Called and spoke to a very nice woman who helped me figure out how to get my order delivered. When the driver came out to deliver the product he called (was on time) and made sure he put the product where we wanted it. He made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I will for sure being reaching out to them in the future for more landscape needs. read more

We had the gentlemen from Canby landscape supply deliver 15 yards of three-quarter minus for our driveway and in front of our yard, no sidewalks on our street and it gets muddy. Same day delivery! Really fair prices and amazing customer service. The owner is a kind man and goes above and beyond. Do not hesitate to shop here, keep it local! I ordered one unit of barkdust and was told they had it in stock and could deliver it within two days. I was surprised that they do not accept checks but demanded cash. I have dealt with this company before and they always accepted a check. When the barkdust arrived it was NOT what I expected; looked mostly like soil. Also it was not a full unit. I know how much a unit should look like and this was more like a half unit. When I called the company they said they had shorted me a yard which they delivered. I think I was shorted more than a yard and I will NOT be using this company again. read more

7/14/2010 - Got a second load of Canadian drain rock (self haul, not delivery) and was charged $60 for 600 lbs. $10/ per 100lbs. On 7/13/2010 I purchased .90 of a Ton of the same drain rock and was charged $63. When I went back to ask why I was charged this way I was told that anything under 800 lbs is charged by the pound. I asked if there is a notice or sign posted somewhere with this info. She didn't answer, but pulled out some book from a shelf. How am I supposed to know about this policy if it's not posted somewhere?!? HELLO! They were kind enough to refund the difference "just this once." I don't think I'll be patronizing their establishment anymore. Oh, and look out because if you use your debit/credit, they print the entire card number on the receipt! read more

The woman who answered the phone was friendly and even worked on delivery same the day! Delivery driver was at my house in 1 hr and was flexible on were he dumped the mulch! The mulch itself had some larger twigs then i would have liked but other then that they were very accommodating. Checked my receipt and credit card info was not on it. They must have fixed this since last review. read more

I've always had a great experience with Canby Landscape Supply. Their compost is really great as well as their soil mixes. My garden boxes have thrived with the soil mix and compost from them. I think they may tend to be structured a bit more towards supplying businesses so don't expect some kind of white glove nordstrom treatment. But if you know what you want and or want to walk around and look at some different kinds of pavers/rock/mulch etc, they're great! read more

Drove by on 99 and saw the sign that they closed at 4:00 on Saturdays. Got home and told my husband. Then a little while later he called and spoke with someone who said today(Saturday) they closed at 4:30. So he was on his way, from Woodburn, at about 3:50 and I got nervous that they wouldn't be there so I called and no one answered but the recording said close at 4:30. Still I wanted to talk to someone, so I called three times. Still no answer. When my husband got there at 4:10 the gate was locked. They don't care about their customers enough to be there. Also I have emailed them twice over a few months for different needs and no reply. Don't waste your time with them, they are unprofessional! read more

I ordered 10 yards of Sandy Loam soil it was delivered the next morning. After I started to move it to get it where I needed it I kept finding pieces of green plastic strips, then I found a big piece of black and white plastic and a glass jar. I was told that the green strips were from a tree farm next door that had blown over in the wind and that the plastic was a piece of tarp that had torn off because it is used to keep the soil dry. The jar and pieces of glass who knows where that came from. I was delivered 5 more yards of soil at no charge to make up for the original soil but it has the same green plastic strips in it. I am having to clean up soil that should have been clean in the first place. I will not be a repeat customer. read more
