The store owner is a very rude person. I would not recommend taking a vehicle their - either go to another location or shop.

This is not one of my favourite Canadian Tire stores. It seems small and cramped and the service is not great.

I stopped by The Clothes Tree for the first time recently. Consignment shops are always a fun…read moreplace to poke around because you never know what you're going to find. The Clothes Tree has clothing, shoes, handbags, jewellery and also cosmetics. Not many places take cosmetics for hygienic reasons, but when I think about it I've accumulated tons of "gift with purchase" items that I've never touched, so it does make good sense. Now The Clothes Tree touts itself as a "high end" consignment boutique, but I saw several low end items like Mossimo pieces. Mossimo is a brand that is sold at Target. And I mean regularly sold at Target, not like when they do those collaborations with high end designers (e.g. 3.1 Philip Lim for Target, or Missoni for Target) where the collections sell out immediately. I would not even consider those pieces "high end" but I would let those slide. I did see a few Tory Burch and Elie Tahari pieces. So yes, they do have more expensive brands, but by and large I feel that most pieces that they carry are mid-range. I will say that I was happy to see some Muriel Dombret pieces (yay for Canadian designers, and an Ottawa designer at that!), I found the styles a little older/more mature than my tastes, but it may be that they are targeting baby boomers. I also found prices a little on the higher side for the mid-range items. I saw some Banana Republic and Eddie Bauer pieces that while priced much lower than the original retail price, they were comparable to the sale prices at the end of the season. That being said, I am a bargain hunter extraordinaire and being a dress size 0-2, I usually make out like a bandit at the end of season clearance sales. So my price standards may be different than people of more popular sizes. Items were nicely arranged and the place did not smell musty. The store is in the Blue Heron Mall. The parking lot is a bit difficult to get in and out of (especially when Bank St is busy and there are many cars in the lot), but there's free parking.

I used to shop here for a long time. Never had an issue, until I wanted to return a pair of pants…read morethat were too small for me. I should have tried them on. I was willing to buy something else in return. I bought an orange scarf instead. The owner (I think she's the owner albeit I've only noticed her there in the last year or so, never before). She humiliated me by attempting to make sure that I tried the scarf on - it was a "one size fits all" scarf. She did this in front of an other customer. She told me she was "vaccinated", thereby making it *ok* to be that close to me. FYI - even the vaccinated get sick, and transmit virus. I know because my sister was, and she got covid several times after the jab. It's not the the closeness that bothered me - as much as the humilation I felt by her behaviour. No-one needs to try on a "one size fits all" scarf. Every time I look at that scarf, I will remember this horrible experience. The clothes in here are ok, but I wouldn't say they are all high-end. I've been to nicer places since, who show respect for their clientele. They also eat their lunch in there, which makes the place smell upon entering. I almost gagged a few times from the smell of their food - take-out? I won't return to this shop. Good luck.
