    Follow up call for appointment
    John S.

Had an appointment for a Sales inquiry and their team never showed up. I called to follow up and left a voicemail, which was not responded to in kind. If this is their sales experience, do you even want to learn about their post-sales?! Yikes!

Horrible Business. Unprofessional and Unreliable. Did not show up for the installation appointment. Will not recommend to anybody. Please do a thorough online research on this company before proceeding We were given an installation date of Wednesday, November 6th for 08:00 a.m. and instructed by e-mail to remove all window treatments, and clear the areas of all furniture and cover anything that could be affected by dust prior to the installation. Received a call at 09:00 a.m. telling us the installation was cancelled because the windows weren't ready. They hadn't received the glass from their supplier. I questioned how it was possible they didn't know of this problem in advance but received no satisfactory answer. I found this behavior very suspicious so I did some research on the internet and discovered to my dismay they are unreliable and there are many negative reviews and photos of their shoddy work. (I can send photos to anyone who is interested.) They offered to reschedule for two weeks later. We declined and said we wanted to cancel. However, when they called us back, we were told we could not cancel because the ten day grace period had passed and we were obligated to take the windows or they would refer this matter to legal services. We have lost all confidence in their products and services. They expect us to live like this as seen in the photos for two weeks.

    Cracked caulking after one month

You get what you pay for, STAY AWAY! Absolutely the worst decision I made was signing a contract with this company. They were slightly cheaper that the others but not much. Our sales rep Michael is a typical salesman. Only wants your signature on the contract then you won't hear from him again! Won't return emails/phone calls. And when you have a problem - you will talk to someone in a 'call centre'! Which will take weeks to resolve. Now lets get to the day of install, phoned me at 9:30am stating the windows didn't arrive. 'Apparently' the windows miraculously showed up a 1/2 hour later. Install scheduled now for the next day. However, the triple paned glass in the master bedroom didn't arrive...on all three windows, Then I was told they did arrive, but all three were broke. Two days on install, windows were installed (19 windows at that). The main window facing our walkway was severely scratched. Told the installer, who took pictures and was told another would be ordered. After two weeks of hearing nothing, I called - the call centre - and they had no idea what I was talking about. I'm still waiting for my glass to be installed in the master bedroom. But they did put in plexiglass for the time being. Was told that they STILL didn't have the glass and nobody knew how long it would be. Well I get a call about an hour later to schedule me in for tomorrow to get all three glasses installed. And they had to send a different company to install them as they were too busy. Two weeks go by and I still don't have the scratched glass installed. I finally have an appointment now. So I notice how dirty they are, finger prints everywhere from install. Tried to clean them the best I can without a ladder. So upon cleaning, I noticed the caulking from the inside is all cracked around the WHOLE window! I looked at the other windows and every single window needs to be re-caulked. On some, it looks like they barely put any on, so it's literally pulling away from the frame. So I hear back from the call centre and this is their excuse 'Calking is a silicone material, and silicone is cracking sometimes when its drying, it is a normal chemical reaction'. So I'm just supposed to live with cracked silicone caulking on every window?? If you are in the market for windows, please take this review to heart and look at the pictures I attached. It's a big investment in your house, don't cheap out by saving a bit.

We have some big/huge windows, and considered wood, vinyl, and fiberglass. We dove deep into the NRCAN ratings of window suppliers, and Fibertec checked off all the boxes (being a Canadian Company was a bonus). The windows all installed well and the house is warm and cozy with no condensation on the inside of these triple paned windows. Overall, these windows were an amazing choice and have held up well. Fibreglass (with glass in the name) expands and contracts at a similar rate to the glass panes themselves, so we do not regret our choice! At about the 13-to 14-year mark, we experienced some failures of the seals within approximately 60% of the windows. The first sign is frost between the panes (in the corners) on the coldest winter days (say -20C or lower). In another year, the low-E coating begins to break down, becoming patchy and noticeable. The initial 15-year warranty paid off, as Fibertech has a solid process in place for honouring their warranty and shipping new panes for replacement. The replacement panes are all built with super spacer technology, which is designed to prevent the problem of failing seals. We have new warranties on the new panes and are only 2 years in with no problems noted.

Quality is good and I love my door. However, if I have to rate my start-to-finish experience I don't think I would rate more than 1 star. Until I placed the order, there were many calls from them to secure the deposit. The time I placed the order, things gone in a complete silent mode. The provided timeline was pushed 2 times. First time no communication and I got to know only when I called. Not even this, after placing an order, I had to follow-up around 3 times to get the technical measurement done so door can go under production. The second confirmed schedule also moved and that happen the very last minute. Again, didn't get a call until a day prior I followed up to confirm the time and left the voice message. One of the store personnel (Mark) returned the call late in the afternoon stating installation won't happen as planned and it will take another week. Extremely frustrating to work on floating timelines with no commitment. Installation day went well. Alex came personally to ensure things are taken care based on provided feedback to him. Installers were nice but took my door bell master allen key and also didn't put the alarm wire properly for the Security Alarm company. Alarm company came and went back stating that the wire is too short and due to that they can't install the alarm magnet. Anyways, again I am back in the follow-up loop for these two items. Every time either no response or getting a response after multiple follow-ups. Don't understand why companies like this who claim to be top-notch at customer experience don't even care or respect customer's time. Have a lot to say about alarm wire correction, communication issue + lag and the scope which home owner should be told as a part of project scope right upfront, etc. etc. but trying hard to keep short. Such projects are clearly "One Time" project and not everyone is aware of what to expect. We as a customer look up on the companies we hire to make our experience good and cheer the journey during and after. It's a responsibility of a "mindful" companies to educate and apprise their customers from start to finish rather customer struggling to get a response or find out surprises in the middle of process. Short feedback - Good quality. Deep and repeated lags on communication and scheduling. As a customer you need to make extra effort to escalate your matter to get required attention which shouldn't be the case by by default when you hire professionals. Though they agreed everything and apologized too (I hold all communication from start to finish) and I don't want to sound harsh but still giving this feedback as a part of my social responsibility.
