I experienced less than average customer service from this company. This company mislead me. They…read morecharged me $3500 for a sliding glass door and claimed it was so expensive because of special hardware that they had to order from the States. When the door arrived it was missing pieces on the hardware, the plastic stopper fell off, the door was cut too small so it did not fit into the bottom channel and they compensated by adding a sloppy cut plastic underneath the channel. They came to fix the door however It was still installed on a slant and would not stay in the closed position unless locked however the lock fell off within the first two weeks. I find out after that they ordered their hardware from CR Lawrence a CANADIAN company. I requested a honest price adjustment because they did not deliver a door with high end hardware from the states as promised. The owner became defensive and called me arrogant and IGNORED my request for a partial refund. I now have to hire other people to come and fix this door. They've taken my money and did not deliver what they sold me.

Bill and Cam just installed another shower door which fits and works perfectly. They came out on the day we had arranged, called ahead of arrival, came on time, and completed the job which looks great! We were very happy that they also were able to adjust a shower door previously installed. We are very happy with the service, professionalism and warranty they provide Glass Doctor of Barrie provided. They are reasonably priced. Thanks again to Glass Doctor and many thanks to Bill and Cam this time round for your wonderful installation of our shower doors.

We cannot say enough about this company. We just love our new shower doors. We tried several other…read moreplaces before we called The Glass Doctor. That was a mistake. The first call was to Accurate Glass on a recommendation from a friend, we left our info with the receptionist and she said someone would get back to us the next day. Two weeks later we called and told her to take us off the call list. Second place was Barrie Metro Glass , I emailed them and they emailed back and said to send pics & measurements, I specified that we wanted to have someone come and take a look at what we wanted in person, so we never replied to that email. the call to The Glass Doctor was the best experience, right from the initial phone call answered by a very friendly person with interest in our call , she said she would have someone call the next day. Bill called as she said & set up an appointment for that same week. He came when he said he would, listened to what exactly we wanted, did all his measurements , chatted with us for a bit and gave us the estimate, that we were surprisingly happy with. He said it would be three weeks, but I think it was only two. They called to say the glass was ready and would be here for install on Friday @ 9:30 and he was . Bill & his coworker Aidan worked hard to install , they did have a bit of a struggle but not due to any fault of there's. When it was all completed( they had completed all by noon!) They cleaned up the area, cleaned the glass & explained everything we needed to know as far as cleaning the glass. They made this job seem so easy . We will definitely recommend The Glass Doctor to anyone that is looking for any type of glass work. Thankyou Bill & Aidan for making our day ! It was a longtime coming but you made it complete.

Complete Installation Failure and Total Lack of Accountability…read more Do not trust EcoTech Windows and Doors with your home. We purchased exterior doors from them, paid in full, and the result has been a complete nightmare of defective workmanship and zero accountability. The Issues: * Active Water Ingress: Rainwater leaks directly under the frame and pools into our home, creating a serious risk of subfloor and structural damage. * Defective Frame Alignment: The door frame was installed so severely out of plumb that the door physically swings shut completely on its own without intervention. * Omitted Structural Components: EcoTech's own lead technician confirmed in writing that they completely omitted both a sloped sub sill drainage pan and a flashing membrane during installation. The Service: We endured 7 separate service visits. On July 3, 2026, they performed a complete full frame teardown and reinstallation, which somehow made the alignment and water leaks even worse. We acted in good faith the entire time; we even helped jump start their technician's broken down vehicle in our driveway after a visit. When repairs failed, senior management tried to hide behind a fine print handicap sill clause to disclaim responsibility for water ingress on an exterior door, completely ignoring basic implied standards under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act. Senior management ultimately stopped responding altogether once formal settlement demands were made. We are now forced to seek full remediation costs through Ontario Small Claims Court. Save yourself the money, time, and structural damage. Hire a real professional company instead.
