CAS complaint
We purchased a fridge from Less at the Etobicoke store. Free delivery and pick up great. Nope it turned into a nightmare. Especially when you are on a schedule, and someone, promises to do something and its not done.
Delivery Sat Jan 4th.
We have had many fridges delivered to this very kitchen over the years never an issue. Never until CAS.
As soon as they arrived the one guy started telling me the doors had to be taken off or the new fridge won't fit. Then he said the fridge that needed to removed was to big and they needed 3 guys to move it, not 2 its to big for 2 guys. We will send a team Monday, not two he kept talking about the doors being to small. I was in shock no delivery person had ever had a problem this delivery guy was going on and on filming the doors it was ridiculous. Calling his dispatch, they had not even tried. Very confusing behaviour for delivery men. Bring product in, get tipped.
I said I can see that this new one will fit and the old one will get thru the doors no problem, "did you measure it I asked?"
He said no. I said so you did not measure it and you did not try and you are still telling me neither fridge will fit?
So, after all the fuss, stalling, wasted time, and drama he went to get a measuring tape and the new fridge slid through the doors easily no problem. Why all the drama? Then he began drama on the removal he said its to heavy for 2 guys we need to send 3 guys not two its to heavy, and again it will not fit. More needless drama, this was getting embarrassing and confusing. I said it was delivered 9 years ago by 2 guys no problems.
So they left the old fridge to me it was like watching a bad movie what was happening. I could not understand it, why are you arguing when you have not even tried.
I called customer care several times they could not have cared less about how unprofessional and how seemingly confused these delivery persons were about the basic nature of their job, and let me tell you calling themselves Canadian appliance store could not be further from the truth. I have never in my life spoken to such rude uncaring customer service Canadians in my life and that name is in the title. Rude, dismissive, unprofessional liars. They said Less should have asked what size the old fridge was again passing the buck, and said we needed to pay $164 dollars for removal as it needed 3 guys to move it. They would not listen to what happened did not care about the truth. Each time I called they kept repeating the same line, 3 guys to remove, oversized and you have to pay $169
I was in shock they could not have cared less that the delivery guys were rude and refused to do their job at all.. They did not care about the truth, or how we were treated or about correcting the problem, helping us or about customer service.
I called Less he also passed the buck I can't anything about that well how about asking if I have an oversized fridge at purchase if your back end lies so much. and apparently there is no manager to speak to which I later found out there is a regional manager as I called a CAS store in Vancouver to discuss this with someone out there, he said nope we have regional manager, another lie, and he said that is disgusting what I went through. He was in shock. Clearly Ontario is under some kind or spell as we are allowing this type of behavior from huge Corporations, and their employees, how is this possible. What kind of culture is this?
Apparently, the Ontario CAS is full of scary after care customer service reps who are not only unprofessional but lie as well, and do not even care about the truth or taking care of customers. When did we start accepting this type of lying, pass the buck culture in our country?
After all this we had to call UDS, United Delivery Service told them the story, they where great super people more Canadian than the Canadian appliance store, they sent 2 guys to pick up the old fridge took them 20 mins literally, $80 bucks, literally slid through our door easily, of course, like all the other times over the years never a problem. the 2 guys removed the fridge it was ridioulous; I have video. 20 mins no drama no lies, no unprofessional behavior.
The CAS delivery service and after care cause us drama, they falsely advertised free delivery and pick up they were so rude me, they lied, took our time and the after care was ridiculous all of them were unprofessional would not listen and they tried to charge me for a service that was supposed to be free. How are they getting away with this? I can't imagine we are the only people they have done this to. And why ? Less should have asked how big the fridge was and Ill pay for pick up just don't lie to me and your customer base.
I would not purchase anything from CAS if you have a choice even in writing they lie and honestly who needs the hassle of dealing with such inappropriate and unprofessional people who lie read more
