The woman was disabled and clearly struggling to understand why the cashier was refusing to accept cash payments. The cashier kept babbling some gobbledygook about not being able to use her cash register so she was only taking card payments. The elderly woman was bent over and had difficulty hearing as well as walking and when she tried to understand why the drugstore was refusing cash the cashier kept repeating some incoherent blah-blah about the cash register. She didn't even offer to take the woman to another cash register that was working. I explained to the elderly woman what was going on, but before I could suggest she go to cosmetics, she left. The nasty cashier started ranting: "She said bad words! She can't say bad words to me!" The cashier was determined to be seen as a victim, but she got no support from the customers who were all disgusted with how she treated that poor woman. The cashier was abusive and when another customer told her so, she started whining about how she knew that woman! She knew her type! I live two blocks from this Shoppers and I avoid it because the staff is so awful. But mistreating an elderly woman who was so clearly struggling is a new low for them. This is a human rights issue: a pharmacist who can't run the store better should lose the franchise.

I had the receipt, the boxes were unopened and card which I used. I was told they were not going to refund this and I would have to return to the store I bought it at. These employees are unprofessional and idiots. The manager eventually comes out after I asked for him repeatedly. I asked him "where on my receipt does it say I have to return to the original store". He didn't answer and he would not refund it to me. I tried to call the customer service line and I request to speak to a district manager and I am still waiting for a response.

The interior is rearranged and more cramped than before. It seems like the breadth of products has also changed. I couldn't find any greeting cards and there used to be a large selection. There were several people in line in front of me and each transaction seemed to be hampered by communication issues with the staff. I also experienced language issues with the counter person. It bums me out since I had used this location quite a bit previously. The former staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I'll give them another try soon and hope it improves.

Upon checking the order status on Amazon, it indicated the parcel was delivered - I went to the Post Office outlet and it was nowhere to be found... and the clerk had no explanation, other than they check IDs before issuing packages. They either do not check IDs well and gave my package to someone else or have lost my package and have no reasonable explanation. I'll avoid using this outlet again.

It does get busy sometimes, as it is of course a small office (being at the back of the Canadian Greetings store that sells luggage and related items), and there is at most two people working. Sometimes (in off-peak hours it seems) there is only one. The staff does a very good job of addressing every transaction quickly and accurately. I've never had a problem with any item, picking up or sending. Always a nice friendly greeting upon entering. One of my favourite aspects is that they are open rather late: until 7:30 PM Monday through Friday, and until 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.
