Service was fast, pleasant & helpful. As per usual CP rates are outrageous, but this is to be expected. I just wish for what they charge that it wouldn't take so long to get to one Provence over ! I wish I had taken a photo of the particular worker who inevitably gives me a difficult time and horrible service. She often doesn't even complete the task that I was hoping to accomplish (in tonight's case, sending a couple of packages back to their rightful owner). She's churlish, obstinate, and generally unhelpful. And it happens again and again. I should know better; it's happened so often. But this is my local postal station, walking distance from my house, so I get suckered into going for convenience's sake. But it's totally not worth it. It's just not. Avoid this place if you can. I didn't even shower because I didn't want to miss the delivery attempt. A few hours later I check the tracking. Oh guess what they attempted to deliver my package. WTF?? How could I have missed this package? I've been home all day waiting for it. I called customer service and this is info I got. The customer service person was very helpful. 1. If the post person is behind, they will not attempt to deliver the package. They will just leave a card. LESSON - DO NOT RELY ON TRACKING 2. They do not deliver to your door. They are only required to deliver to where your mail goes. So, if your building has a designated area for mailboxes, the lobby, they are not required to knock on your door and deliver the package to you. It's up to the post persons discretion. 3. If the package is bigger than your mailbox expect to get a card in your mailbox. Why? Refer to number 2 above. LESSON - Canada post is not in the business of delivering packages. So, what have we learned? 1. The tracking information Canada Post updates means ZERO!! 2. Delivery in their vocabulary means, leave a card 3. USE FEDEX, DHL, CARRIER PIGEON! 4. The tracking information means nothing.!! Don't be as foolish as I was waiting for my package which was out for delivery, why?? Say it all together now: BECAUSE THE TRACKING MEANS NOTHING!! They do have dollar store-type items in the front third of the store, but that part seems like an afterthought (not intriguing items or display). Half of their front sign says Insurance, but I'm not sure what that's about. I didn't see any consultation desks or the like. Maybe you have to ask the people at the post office counter. Park on Main St., in front of the store. If you are picking up a large package, they let you use their dolly to take it to your car!
