CARELESS AND RECKLESS Or INEXPERIENCE And IRRESPONSIBLE…read more would be best description if anyone hire this company. Beware. On about early February I spoke with three different movers one which was On Friday, February 10, 2023 Pronto Movers / pronto moving I spoke with Mr. Farhat who appeared to be reasonable. He said many things and sold empty promises to move my items without damages. I decided to hire Mr. Farhat because said I can have this arranged for $2200+ tax. I did not negotiate with him, I recognized the movers hard work. On February 16, 2023 price was agreed in writing for moving to first storage then March 23, 2023 to second move to home. The morning when he arrived at my door his price went up by $100 verbally. Fist tell-tell sign about Mr. Farhat. I dont know, is it lack of experience or responsibilities or he doesnt have knowledge of moving appliances, furniture. I had specifically told him I have high-end (brand new appliances), make sure nothing is damaged. He basically stuff everything in the truck putting things on top other things. Some fragile and valuable porcelains was put on the side, I told him take this at the end do not put anything on these boxes. He could NOT follow on simple importance of my things did communicate with his men. I had to tell each one them myself. Pieces of furniture with scratched. So if you are type of a person like me, who value his belongings I suggest you DO NOT consider hiring ProntoMovers/ProntoMoving. Unloading his truck of course at the end he damaged my appliances and (Mr. Ferhat) was open to said he will do something about it I said thank you just have it fixed. The damages were caused by himself, he stacked a big heavy BBQ machine on top of my appliances which got dented. He did not get back when my stuff was in storage for 30 days. On March 23, 2023 second location moving day, When it is delivered at my home we talked about the damages, he made some offers, I could not agree but days are passing, he started to go on offensive and disagree on things. I repeatedly asked him to fix it. I dont want money or compensation or anything else. YOU DAMAGED IT, JUST FIX IT. They are careless and took no responsibility and are giving me the run around, the company is making it difficult. I care about my things specially valuables and my brand new belongings. Beware -he charge customer for his insurance deductible -he is not clear about (who is responsible) damages under $200 -he will scratches, scuff, drag furnitures cause small repair cost -his Price and Quote will changes base the customers lifestyle, so his written quote is fake/false -he does not care how long will he take, he will give you the runaround

They gave us the run around like they wanted to work it out then yelled at us to sue them when we weren't happy with their gas lighting and evasion tactics. For further context, by 'professionally repaired' you meant the mover that scratched the door, ask my 16 yr old for the paint colour and he'd cover it up. But that wouldn't fix the indent from the scratch or the other dents in the door. You would listen to that and that's when you started to yelling and hung up on us.

Tonya and her team at To Do Done recently installed flooring and painted my sister's 2-bedroom…read morecondo in Gloucester. The did a great job and were very kind to my sister who was living in the condo during the work. I've done quite a bit of painting myself and the quality of the prep work exceeded my expectations and ability. The condo had not been painted in quite some time, the team removed carpet and wall paper, replaced trim, installed flooring and painted the walls, doors, closets and ceilings.

My experience with To Do Done was disappointing. They provided an initial estimate, then indicated…read morethat any additional work would require a "change order". Their estimate was a bit higher than other companies, but I decided to go with them since their reviews were so positive. Unfortunately, after they had completed demolition, I was advised that they had forgotten to include the cost of labor to tile the shower (the main element of the project) so I then received a "change order" of $3300 for that work. There were several occasions where I was provided with a change order that was over double the cost of what I was quoted, and they would then reduce it with no explanation when I questioned the amount. At one point they attempted to charge me for labour to install a vanity when I had already paid for that in the original estimate. I'm not sure why this problem kept occurring, but had I not been diligent in asking for clear breakdowns of the change orders, the renovation would have definitely cost a lot more. At the outset I made it very clear that project management was important to me, as I was renovating my only shower and needed to find alternative accommodation. I was told that I would need to be out of my home for approximately three weeks, with a five-week duration for the entire project. Unfortunately, it progressed so slowly that I was out of my home for almost seven weeks, a huge inconvenience. I understand that delays happen, but at one point I was informed that my designer did not order enough tile for the shower. Inexplicably it took them over a week to get more tile from Toronto, resulting in me being out of my home for an extra week. No apologies or acknowledgement from the company for that mistake. Everything ran late, and it was two months before I even had sinks in my bathrooms. They eventually tried to blame the delays on my ordering custom bathroom vanities, which would have been believable had they ordered the vanities early in the project, which they did not. Overall, it ended up taking an unbelievable five months to complete my five-week renovation. In fairness, the last six weeks were primarily a negotiation about the damage they caused to my hardwood floor during the project. They ripped up the varnish with their tape, attempted to repair it many times only making it worse, and then had the audacity to send me a change order for $3000 to refinish the floors. We eventually came to a resolution on that issue, but it was a very painful process. For all the frustration experienced during this project, thankfully the work turned out well, aside from a few minor mistakes. There were certainly glitches along the way, such as both sinks leaking upon installation because an apprentice did the work with no supervision (again, no acknowledgment or apology, just business as usual I guess), but overall the quality of work seems good. However, if you are looking for competent project management and a company that takes accountability, I would look elsewhere. Twice during the process I contacted the owner to express my dissatisfaction, but that achieved very little. The first time she blamed everything on the designer that she fired mid-project and did not replace, and by the end of the renovation she blamed everything on her project manager. It was surprising that a reputable company owner wouldn't understand that she's accountable for her own employees. Despite the many problems and delays I experienced and the fact that she told me she was "embarrassed" by the project, she did not offer any type of meaningful compensation. She did not even offer to waive the $2400 "design and management" fee, even though she fired my designer, and the project was clearly mismanaged. To the contrary, the project ended with her trying to get me to sign an agreement to not post a negative review, which certainly provided me with clarity on why their reviews are so positive.

AVOID, AVOID, - Long but worth the read. Good reviews mean nothing if you're not taken care of when…read morethings go wrong. I liked my contact in the office and went with my gut. July 10th, our move started well -- the team inspected all the walls both before loading and at the new house before unloading. Good start but unfortunately, went downhill. The move took as long as our move from Montreal two years earlier, including a 2 1/2-hour drive. This move was a 5 minute drive from where we were living. It became clear that our antique furniture was mishandled: My buffet was gouged and a piece broken off the back. The roller ball from an antique table leg fell off and was lost. I asked them to check the truck; the response was "It's dark." I asked them to let me know the next day -- never heard back. My husband's desk had a piece broken off. Too many things to list. Several other items were broken. Boxes were well-labeled, but mostly ignored. Here's where some of them ended up: Cutlery box office upstairs Pantry items furnace room Fancy glasses upstairs hallway Bathroom box office upstairs Master closet items office upstairs Office supplies kitchen counter Living room décor upstairs office cupboard Bedroom furnace room When I couldn't find my cutlery box and asked the team leader for help, he literally said: "Nope, it's late. We're done. Deal with the office." That summed up the attitude perfectly. I still tipped them and said it would have been more. Some boxes weren't found for a long time. One of the movers even said, "It was a bad day." -- It added so much stress especially that boxes couldn't be located. One imoportant box labelled Bedroom wasn't found for over 3 days. It was finally found in the furnace room behind a table that the box wasn't visible. The Aftermath I followed the office's request and sent a detailed email with pictures, copied many people. Then... silence. July 23 - I asked if they could check for a missing box. No response. September - told they'd send someone assess the furniture repair, and did but then nothing. By then, I had already followed my bank's advice after being refused asking to a partial paymenht, submitted all documentation, and they agreed I was justified -- so the payment was reversed. That finally got the company's attention. When they contacted me in November they said they couldn't resolve anything "until payment was made." I told them I would love to pay my but no one had gotten in touch to actually resolve anything or answer questions.. That was the last straw and I spoke with an owner, who was shocked by the breakdown in communication. and other things that happened. He reduced the bill by $300 and sent someone to repair the furniture. They were also supposed to: Install a new roller ball on my table which I supplied btw. Steam clean the upholstered part of my slat bed and realign it. Assess wall chips left by the movers and repair. Arranged for movers to come do this. But it was never clear who was responsible for what.bThe steam cleaning wasn't done by them nor the person who came to assess the wall. One mover even commented he "has bad days all the time." I told him: That's not what customers want to hear.It was arranged for 10:30 and got texted before 8:00 they were on the way. I re-arranged the time again. When I relayed that to the owner, he suddenly decided to cut off communication, even after emailing asking him to call. He claimed the wall and mattress issues "weren't move-related. even after our discussion" They sent $100 and stopped responding completely. All businesses have problems and it's all how it's solved that the story gets told. Final Thoughts This whole experience has left a terrible taste in my mouth. Many details are left out, but in short -- the lack of responsibility, poor communication, and dismissive customer service were unacceptable. Please, avoid this company
