Not Authentic Jamaican Dishes, Do Not Recommend…read more
Being from Jamaica and cooking Jamaican food for 30 years, this food was VERY DISAPPOINTING! We DO NOT recommend eating any Jamaican dishes from this restaurant, if you want a real taste of Jamaica.
The festival bread tasted like cinnamon bread, the fish did not have jerk seasoning or the jerk chicken. In addition, the rice and beans tasted NOTHING like what we make in Jamaica to go with curry chicken, jerk chicken, or even ox tail.
The silverware we received was filthy.
The tall black man who stands on the boardwalk was very very pleasant and took my advice sincerely, but the woman who served us was VERY UPSET and did not care to listen to good criticism to help that business in the future. I even gave actual recipe info to them for free and would probably have showed them how to make it authentically, if they bought the ingredients, but the woman was so mad....I do not think she would want me to help. It is a shame because it is not like we did not pay. We paid fully, did not ask for anything or discounts, nor was any offered, and we still offered advice!
