The experience soured when the employee said, somewhat rudely, "Just so you know, only one sample per customer." We were dumbfounded. How do you choose between two flavors after tasting just one? I couldn't, so I walked away. Ricky Dickson, Blue Bell's former CEO, might be disappointed that a Blue Bell lover didn't get the chance to taste more of his yummy flavors! I hope the shop considers allowing at least two samples so customers can enjoy choosing.

When we asked for sorbet for our daughter who is lactose free, they said they had watermelon sorbet. That was not sorbet, it was water melon shaved ice. Even after they went to the back to scoop it, it came back completely frozen. I couldn't even insert the spoon in it, much less my 3 year old daughter. The watermelon ice ball came flying out of the cup onto the floor. We picked it up and asked for a different ice cream, and maybe have my daughter try a bit of regular ice cream even though she can't have it. They later brought out another watermelon ice that they had shaved it up a bit more so it wasn't too frozen. It was still frozen like shave ice, but at least my daughter could use her spoon with it.

It turns out they all serve Blue Bell, which is fine, but we were hoping for something a little more special. We ended up trying this location, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment from the moment we walked in. The shop wasn't very clean, and it seemed like the two employees working were either exhausted or simply not paying attention to basic hygiene. My hot fudge sundae had remnants of other toppings mixed in -- things I definitely didn't order. We almost left, but we were craving a simple ice cream dessert and decided to give it a chance. Once we sat down, I stopped eating pretty quickly. The fudge was cold and tasted low‑quality, with a strange fruity flavor. I even found what seemed like cereal pieces in mine instead of peanuts. It was honestly unpleasant. Maybe after a long day in the sun or drinking, people don't notice these things. But for us, this was a clear no.

We settled on this ice cream shop instead and it left much to be desired. The woman working (not sure if she was the owner?) was not friendly at all and seemed bothered that we were ruining her social hour out front. There were maybe 5 flavors, to choose from and they were all melted. They were sloppily scooped into the cups and dripping all over. There also were no toppings to add like any normal ice cream shop so my kids were bummed. I definitely would not stop here again.
