We were a party of 15 Guests and were there for a gathering of monthly Birthday celebrations of four Corpus Christi area Friends! We were greeted with a smile and seated promptly as an area was reserved for our party of 15. Our Waitress was "Ashley"! She was Very nice, smiled often, was very patient and extremely efficient in wrangling everyone's order. Ashley had a great attitude and was super in every aspect of her job and with everything she did. As with anything in life, her ability to effectively communicate with her Customers was Stellar. She had minor assistance from other servers and for the most part she handled our party by herself and continued to provide service to other large parties in the same room. WOW! She took our orders in a calm and effective manner and remembered all the tiny details that any table could impose on "Wait" Staff. Her poise, superb ability to communicate effectively and a Wonderful attitude made our stay a memorable one. Mistakes NONE! Complaints; some steaks had gristle on them. Really! That was a very minor issue and all agreed that it did not curb our appetite or spoil our celebration. The food was good to very good and accompanying condiments for everyone came in a quick and timely manner. Our party highly recommends this Restaurant and we keep coming back! As for Ashley, She is a KEEPER! PS: Our table gave her a round of Applause for her dynamic Customer service! A friend was visiting from San Antonio and wanted to have dinner Easter Sunday. He suggested we…read moremeet at 6:00 PM. It was perfect, no reservations were needed. Plenty of tables available and the bar area was busy with just a few customers as well. Started off with a Mexican Martini. I'll be honest in larger cities they give you the shaker filled with the mixture. This place DID NOT provide the shaker. Only one small glass. Very disappointing. My husband ordered the old-fashioned and it was really good, our friends had a mango margarita, frozen. Nice presentation. Our server was cordial and attentive, at first. I ordered the Filet mignon, medium rare with steamed broccoli and a baked potato. This was really good, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the Ribeye and that was very disappointing. It was overcooked and no seasoning. He sent it back and they returned one that was a tiny bit better but not as well seasoned as my Filet Mignon. Thank goodness he had a Caesar salad so that filled him up a little. Our friends had the steak and shrimp and said that was pretty good especially price wise. After everything our server was okay, he did leave us hanging towards the end, ordered a dessert from a different server. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, we will most likely return.

Butter Churn If…read moreyou're anywhere near Aransas Pass and you haven't eaten at Butter Churn, you're flat-out missing out. From the moment you walk in, you can feel it -- this isn't some corporate chain going through the motions. This place is dialed in. It is probably one of the most put-together restaurants I've ever had the privilege of visiting. Every detail feels intentional. Clean lines, modern touches, spotless floors, organized buffet, upbeat energy -- they hit every mark. The décor has personality without being overdone. It feels like a true family restaurant -- warm, authentic, and welcoming -- but with a level of polish most places never achieve. The service? Exceptional. Real smiles. Real hospitality. You're not just another table. You feel seen and taken care of. Now let's talk about the brisket. Unbelievable. I had to ask how they were doing it, and Mark was more than happy to walk me through his process. When brisket is smoked low and slow -- and they smoke theirs for 20 hours -- here's what happens: * The visible fat cap mostly renders down. * The intramuscular fat melts. * Collagen breaks down into gelatin. * The melted fat soaks deep into the meat fibers. So by the time it hits your plate? You don't see fat. You taste rendered fat and gelatin inside the meat. For $14 all-you-can-eat lunch, I kept waiting for the catch. There isn't one. I probably ate close to a pound and a half of brisket myself and still wanted more. Tender, perfectly seasoned, smoky without being overpowering -- the kind of brisket that makes you stop mid-bite and just nod your head because you know you found something special. You walk out wondering how they're not charging double. Everything about this place reflects pride -- pride in the food, pride in the service, pride in the entire experience. It's consistent. It's clean. It's efficient. And that kind of consistency is rare. This is only my second five-star rating ever. That's how serious I am about it. I apologize for not getting a picture of the brisket, I got too carried away with eating it. I live in Corpus Christi, and honestly, that's probably a good thing. If I lived any closer, I'd be there every single day. If you want authentic, high-quality food served by people who genuinely care about what they're doing -- Butter Churn is it. Five stars. No hesitation.

The salad bar is off the chain...anything you could want! The service was awesome, we definitely felt checked on but not in a bad way. It's a cute place that appears to have crowds at every meal.
