My husband raved so hard about the sandwich he had at Can Gourmet that we returned together with friends the next day for more bocadillos. The shop is tiny and adorable and every available space is packed with foodstuffs. There is a small refrigerator with soft drinks and some craft beer, a shelf with bottles of wine, and chips, salts, spreads and other deliciousness in between.
The menu is quite varied for such a small shop and it was hard to narrow down my selection. Ultimately I went with a recommendation from a friend and selected the bocadillo with soppresata, goat cheese and rocket (arugula). The sandwiches are made to order on fresh baguettes and then rolled through a toaster to make the bread warm and crisp and the cheese melty.
Back at our villa, the guys all managed to save half of their sandwiches while I opted to eat the entire thing at once. It was too delicious to stop! Good thing siestas are an acceptable way to spend an afternoon in Spain.
Highly recommended for an excellent sandwich while in Ibiza Town. read more
