We ended up at Can Costa almost by chance. We were heading to another place, but it was closed. We found Can Costa on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. Glad we did.
The restaurant is located in downtown Ibiza, wih no parking around, so be prepared to walk. The place feels very local and authentic. Simple interior, nothing fancy.
It looks like it's run by two owners, a man and a woman, which adds to the family feel.
The food is simple and honest. Grilled fish, grilled octopus, good portions, well cooked.
The alioli is very traditional, strong, and full of garlic. Served with bread and olives, and it was excellent.
One thing to note about seating. We were given our own table, but we noticed the solo customers seated together at one table with strangers. That may not suit everyone, but it feels very typical of local places.
Overall, a solid choice if you want real Ibizan food, not a polished tourist restaurant.
Would come back if I'm in the area again. read more
