We stayed for about a week and every night I had something different for dinner and every night it was amazing! I highly recommend dining in the restaurant for the excellent food, fun chats with waiters, and to view the incredible decor. The breakfast in the morning cannot be missed either. We even had tea in the tree house which is expensive but worth doing! The food is great and the ambiance & view make it even better. When we went it was too cold to go into the pool, but it looked clean. The grounds are gorgeous and I recommend walking around and checking them out- especially the sheep in pens nearby! By some miracle when we arrived we realized we had been upgraded in the Presidential Suite. Immaculate, comfortable, it was a dream. It was the best vacation of my life and I truly enjoyed everything about it.

The setting of the pool overlooking a valley below and the moon rising above was breathtaking. The comfort and size of the rooms made leaving difficult. Even better was the tree house restaurant where we sat high above and had a gourmet meal I would expect more in provence. The staff was attentive ,yet not intrusive. Having been fortunate to have stayed at some of the world's great hotels from villa d este to auberge de soleil, I would rate this as a comparable .

We arrived about 2am, this meant we were tired from being up all the previous day, flying and then the bus journey from Palma. Check in was a breeze and we were warmly welcomed by Jaume. Now I'm terrible with remembering names, but I remembered Jaume! This is because being so tired as I mentioned and trying to get the kids and co sorted getting off the shuttle bus, I got the rest of the family's luggage sorted and left my own bag in the overhead compartment (containing my SLR camera, camcorder, return boarding pass, car key, watch, iPod, kindle, sunglasses and travel money card). I only realised about 10 minutes after the bus left. So from about 2:30AM until around 4PM the next day when the bag was safely returned, Jaume was on the case, he was phoning round to Transunion (bus company) as soon as I told him what happened and liaised with them right up to sorting the taxi at the end for the bag pick up complete with a few courtesy calls to the room to update me on progress, all I had to do was sit by the pool and contain my background anxiety with ice-cold beer. So he was a complete star and really stepped up when I needed assistance to keep our holiday on track!! At which point I celebrated with more ice cold beer and was pretty jolly by this point! After that (when full holiday mode kicked in) we had a great time. We chose self-catering but did eat a few times in the hotel and the food and drink available was of a pretty high standard, if we returned we would probably consider at least half-board if not all inclusive. We looked into upgrading to this option about half way through but decided against it in the end. We found though that with Sunrise being well located there were any number of great places to eat out within 10 minutes' walk, and that's 10 minutes with a child and a baby in a pram. Viva is also handy to the beach, (something we did not avail of enough), which is one of the outstanding features of Alcudia. The facilities at the hotel were great though. The pool was fantastic, with just enough shade in parts to mean that kids can play in the water without always being directly exposed to the sun. The kids pool is very well set out too with a brilliant pirate ship, slides water features and a play park along side. There is also a decent space around the kids pool for adults so you can lie back and keep an eye on the kids playing without having to hover right over them. The children's entertainment was good also with activities on throughout the day and evening. As you walk out from the lobby to the pool area there is a large notice board which will give you each days activities for adults and children alike. So Sunrise made for a great holiday, good location, great facilities and food and amazing staff. Would definitely recommend Sunrise and would be very happy to revisit again in the future!

Starting with the highlight: the view of Port de Sóller from this hotel is breathtaking. Arguably the best vantage point of any hotel in the area, and it never got old. The atmosphere throughout the property matches it well. There are plenty of spots to lounge around, and for outdoor seating they provide blankets, which is a thoughtful touch. The room itself is accurately represented on their website, so no surprises there. The staff are, for the most part, wonderful. Attentive, warm and genuinely good at making you feel at ease. There was one odd interaction by the pool where a waitress brought over water, juices and nuts to our chairs unprompted. We assumed it was complimentary, but she returned shortly after with a check. When we explained we hadn't ordered anything, she took the drinks back and delivered them to the right couple rather than preparing fresh ones. Small thing, but a bit of an unusual call. A couple of room notes worth flagging: the bed comes with two small individual blankets, one per person, and no shared bed sheet. Never encountered that setup at a hotel before and it took some getting used to. The shower also consistently leaked water out onto the bathroom floor, leaving a puddle every single time regardless of how careful you were. On pricing, be prepared. This place is expensive. A coffee or juice by the pool will cost you significantly more than anything you'd find down at the port, and they actively prompt for tips on every transaction, which felt out of place for Spain. The one major exception is breakfast, which is included in the stay. Take full advantage of it, including the fresh orange juice that otherwise runs €10 a glass. For food and drinks beyond breakfast, skip the hotel and head down to the port. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars to explore, all at far more reasonable prices. In terms of amenities, the WiFi is genuinely excellent, with solid coverage throughout the hotel and speeds around 48Mbps down and 16Mbps up. There is a sauna and a steam room, both open until 9PM, though no hot tub. They also offer a free yoga class twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays. It fills up fast, so sign up as soon as you check in. If you have time to explore beyond the hotel, the hike up to Torre Picada is absolutely worth it for a full 180 degree view of the Balearic Sea. There is also a local market that runs on Thursdays and Saturdays, a nice way to spend a morning. Overall, a memorable stay with a lot going for it. Just go in with eyes open on the pricing and a willingness to explore outside the property for most of your meals.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The room was on the smaller size, but a great space to come back to after exploring the island all day. Parking was never an issue, there is a small lot and plenty of street parking. The balcony with the water view was beautiful and so relaxing to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. Having the NENI restaurant in the same building was incredible and the best meal we had while in Mallorca! Being able to walk down to Port De Sollér was an added bonus, with gorgeous views/sunsets, restaurants and excursions. I would recommend Mallorca and this hotel to anyone, we will be back!!!

It is a very beautiful resort. The hotel is located in a beautiful region -- scenic views. It is definitely a 5 star experience all the way. The staff is extremely professional and polite. Will definitely be back. It's expensive but worth every penny! Room tip: Rooms on the top floors are definitely more quiet. Should definitely get a room with an ocean view. You should also get the 45 euro massage/cabana/champagne daily deal early -- they sell out quickly. For 45 euros, you get a private shaded cabana overlooking the ocean, a bottle of champagne, two 15 min messages and a plate of fruits. Excellent value!
