From that test, I ordered glasses through their office at a much lower price than quoted by my original optometrist's office. I've had my two new sets of lenses in my glasses for just three days, and the difference is pretty amazing. They are comfortable to wear, and my headaches have diminished thus far, finally. I plan to enter their vision therapy program, which is a pay-per-visit arrangement (aka not $3000 up front like a SE vision therapy office) and will update should there be anything but stellar value.

My family has been long time patients here - initially for the convenience, then for the service…read more However, the quality of service has been noticeably deteriorating lately. Things to consider: (1) Covid prevention protocol is virtually non-existent for a medical office. They ask a few questions at time of booking but no follow up screening on the day of appointment, no 2m distancing established for waiting patients, no noticeable sanitization in between handling patients, payments, etc (2) Full upfront payment required for ordering glasses, contacts - this is new and significant because the wait time to receive the product has increased so you are out of cash but without the product for a longer time. (3) The time estimate they give you for receiving your glasses is not close to accurate. In one case 5-10 days has become over a month and we still do not have the product. In another case, 5-10 days is now over a couple weeks and counting. It is possible that their labs may be backed up but providing a realistic heads up or following up appropriately would be nice considering that the waiting patient is coping with less than ideal vision in the interim. New patients should plan to get their eyeglass prescription filled at LensCrafters, Costco, or other more expedient providers if time is a factor.

Dr. Penny specializes in working with individuals who experience visual challenges post brain injury. I wish I would have known about her sooner. If there are other optometrists in this city that actually know what they're dealing with in these circumstances, I haven't heard of them. She conducted testing I've never seen before. Dr. Penny is knowledgeable, personable and pro-active. She has additional follow-up planned with my client and will be recommending vision therapy, which is part of her practice. My client should have had vision therapy at least four years ago but obviously no one else she saw knew what to do with her. Seriously, what a godsend. If you or someone you know has been impacted by changes to their vision after a head injury, one had better pay her a visit. April Challenge: The Underdog 4/30

I forgot my insurance card at home but had my husbands and they went on and on about how they can't possibly bill direct to his SunLife plan and tried making me feel like an idiot. First, you didn't give me an opportunity to look for my insurance information in my email without going off on me and second, I wasn't asked if that was indeed they way I wanted to pay. The third straw is they clearly do not carry the Tiffany brand eyewear that I was searching for although their website advertises it!! I would have happily paid cash to get exactly what I was looking for.

Dr…read more Kloepfer recommended I get 4 Forma Radio Frequency (RF) as well as Lumecca Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments. My first treatment was done in January 2026, administered by a very skilled and gentle-mannered young woman named Hannah. She talked me through everything she was going to do, and made sure I was comfortable with the heat of the RF and the strength of the IPL pulses. Once she was done, she gave my face a wonderful, soothing massage. After this she called on Dr. Kloepfer to express the ducts along the edges of my eyelids. That's when he showed me which areas of my eyelids were in good functioning order, and which were blocked or atrophied. It gave me a good understanding of the condition of my eyes and how the further 3 treatments would improve my condition. I have now completed my treatments and am very happy with the results. I highly recommend these treatments and this clinic. My sincere thanks to Hannah and Dr. Kloepfer!

Hello review #900!…read more I moved to Toronto 3 years ago and haven't bothered to find an Optomitrist so I figured while I was back in town for the holidays I would get an eye exam. The offices are really nice and have a modern look and feel. They layout seems a little odd but you always have someone directing you around so you can't get lost. The doctors have changed over the years but I've always had a great exam with each. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because of price. The exam itself is $110 compared to around $75 for a standard exam. I wear Acuvue Advanced contact lenses and Health Plus charges $40 per box. Clearly Contacts charges $32.99, a pretty big difference.

This isn't your average spot, located near the 17th Ave and 4th St intersection, they offer a wide range of examinations and glasses options. They even carry the very cool and forward thinking brands ECO and Modo. Now you may be thinking, why would I bother going to the optometrist, I don't need glasses! My first question to you would be, are you sure, when did you last get your eyes examined? You are supposed to go every two years at the least. Now I am not a frequent glasses wearer, I have a pair for night time driving, but just like going to the dentist or the doctor, I get my regular check ups. My family members are frequent glasses wearers, so I have been visiting optometrists regularly for almost 30 years, and Dr Ross is by far the most courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable one I have come across. He took the time to go over each test and why they were doing them as well as explained the results with me. He didn't talk down to me, and he answered all my questions patiently until I understood it completely. I highly recommend visiting Eye Spy Optometry, whether for an exam or a new pair of sunglasses, you won't be disappointed!
