I had a 9:30am appointment, but the service didn't start until 9:45 with no explanation or apology for the delay. When the haircut and beard trim finally began, the quality was far below what I've come to expect. The lines were uneven, my beard wasn't properly shaped or cleaned, and worst of all, the clipper used on my neck left multiple cuts. Not only was it painful, but the barber didn't acknowledge the damage or offer any apology -- just moved on as if nothing happened. At this price point, I expect professional service and attention to detail. Sadly, the quality and care have been steadily declining over time, and this last experience sealed the decision for me to take my business elsewhere. Disappointing end to what used to be a reliable place.

But I will never have them touch my beard again. - didn't even shape or cut my beard how I explained. - they shaved against my hair with a straight edge and absolutely destroyed my neck. Then proceeded to think my neck was having a reaction to the razor and not HOW she was shaving. So come here if you want to spend $90 for an average haircut experience and for them to absolutely destroy your neck and facial hair.

Sweet, friendly, talkative, and understanding are just a few out of literally hundreds of adjectives to describe her. I got the full package on top of the actual haircut which included: beard trimming, a hot towel, and a shampoo session. It was remarkable talking with and to her because not only did she keep up the conversation, she was also listening to what I was saying. A very rare skill to possess in this day and age. I indeed felt pampered during the time I was there. The inside look and appeal was very warming and welcome and I like to be comfortable. I'm very tall at 6'6" so any place that accommodates me is an establishment that I will rave about. Complimentary drinks are offered as well provided you're getting your haircut. Thank you JUNE DAY for making my time spent there marvelous to remember and I will certainly be coming back!

This was our very first and last visit to Roosters. Took my 11yo son to get a haircut, and we had a…read morepretty bad experience. First, we asked for the Rooster Club Cut which is supposed to come with shampoo/hair massage; he got neither. We were charged $25 for the haircut, and I'd have been fine with that had the haircut been decent, but it was not. We specifically asked for scissors on top, and clipper size 2 on the sides. Pretty basic trim and nothing extra. What we ended up with were entirely crooked hairlines/sideburns. Worst of all, he now has a clipper-manufactured hairline on his forehead (why?!?!?!?) that is also crooked and not symmetrical. So in summary, his hairline on his forehead, sides, sideburns, and back of his head are crooked and not symmetrical. To add insult to injury, they're not even clean lines. Needless to say, we will not be returning. I wish this Rooster's location all the best, at least, for the sake of their customers.

I'd really like to patronize Spring Valley Barber Shop as I living walking distance in Spring Valley. Once Captain Nemo passed, the shop was vacant for quite a while and the it reopened as SVBS. I tried to use SVBS for 2 years, but finally couldn't put up with the incessant jabber of Eric the barber. Set aside the hygiene or should I say lack of, and the minimalist furnishing from the 1950's, he is a good barber. But he never stopping pontificating and claimed to be an expert on every subject on the planet. To the point he'd stop cutting your hair and stare you in the face rambling on for 3-4 minutes jabbering before resuming your haircut; this would happen 3-4 times during your haircut. If he'd just shut up and cut your hair, you'd be in and out in 1/2 the time and your ears wouldn't be ringing for the next hour. He's had a couple of other barbers in their along the way, but none ever stay, not sure if it's the lack of business or Eric's arrogant "know it all attitude". He's favorite thing is to ask someone a question hoping they don't know the answer so he can try to prove how smart he is,or thinks he is. And if they do have the correct answer, he still press on telling them his answer is better than theirs. On my last visit, I sat waiting for my turn and the way he humiliated the poor guy who's hair he was cutting, ensured it was my last visit. It's exhausting!
