Johnny did a great job. My girlfriend loved the cut and lineup on my beard. Very quick and close attention to detail - I will be coming again. Cash only btw, just so y'all know read more

I was originally unsure walking into a new place, as one is, but Nick took care of me and delivered exactly what I was looked for. Professional, kind, to the point, and needless to say I'll definitely be back. read more

Walked in right at opening on a Friday and got seated with Jason. Great cut and nice to talk to. Cool place would go back.

I made a 9 o'clock appointment with the owner John. He never showed up and the other two barbers looked embarrassed. I rescheduled for another time and he showed up ten minutes late, disheveled hair, bloodshot eyes and reeking of alcohol and marijuana. He rudely instructed me to hop in the chair and rushed my service. I definitely felt rushed. The haircut was average at best. Needless to say, I will not be coming back and I'll tell the rest of the Spartan Band not to. John needs a close shave and a course in professionalism. read more

I Had long, luscious hair and specifically asked for a simple cut with clear pictures. Time and time again, I had asked my barber Alex to follow. Unfortunately, he had a mind and just went with the flow. The end product was awful, and I had to go to another barber shop and get my hair done - which resulted in the shaving off of my whole hair. Disappointed and will not recommend coming back here. read more

I came here throughout college and recently moved back to the area after 9 years away. Those were 9 long years of hopping barber to barber and not being able to find anyone that could match Johnny's skills. Glad to be back and glad to see this place is still working their magic! read more

I wouldn't come back. I had alex cut my hair now My hair doesn't even look faded at all. My hair look like someone put a bowl on my head and cut it. Smh i could of done a better job cutting my own hair at home. I wouldn't recommend alex at all. He seem like he doesn't know what he was doing. If you want a bowl cut and no fade then go to him. Smh now i have to put a hat on for a whole month read more

Best barber shop in town! Look no further! No other barber shop comes close! I've got my hair cut at many of the barber shops in Lansing and campus barbers is my favorite. I've been going there for a couple years. Save your time! Don't go anywhere else! Hands down best barber shop in town! By far! Not to say that any are particularly bad that I've been to but campus barbers stands out in my opinion as the BEES KNEES! :D I've got my hair cut by every barber there and they all do a great job! read more

I've been going here for the last couple of years and can confidently say I've found "my usual place" after about ten years of searching and bouncing from barber to barber. I tell all of my friends to go here. Stupidly, most of them don't, but that just makes it easier to get an appointment. Which you should absolutely do because walk-ins, while welcome, are generally in for a bit of a wait. Jeff always cuts my hair. Guy does a great job and will do exactly what you tell him to. He will also do you the courtesy of letting you know how that's going to look, good or bad, which I appreciate as someone with no knowledge of what I'm actually supposed to do with hair. I aways leave Jeff's chair looking like as close to a million bucks as I can get. My only regret is not going in three weeks ago when I probably should have. read more

1. Looks like it has never been swept, I didnt want to set my backpack down. Hair everywhere. 2. Barber just kept talking politics and conspiracies. Who wants that while they're cutting hair? 3. Price isn't bad. 4. Had to wait for 45 mins read more

Actually, they do take reservations. Get out of the way if you're some fussbudget used to going to salons. $15.00 is what they charge. They do what you you tell them, and once they know you, you hardly have to say anything. Just sit down. Parking a little inconvenient, and they don't take plastic.Classic barber shop with an old school feel. read more

Good cut at a reasonable price. The barbers here are definitely skilled in their craft. While the interior is dated on the inside, that's pretty typical for the places that charge their prices. read more

Been here a couple times now and Alex is the man! Always hooking me up with a good cut on top & trim of the beard!

I had a good experience and Nicolas was an awesome barber! He made the experience great and I highly recommend this shop!

Jonny was amazing! He is so kind and explains what he thinks is the best and why. He only charges $16.00, but since he did such an amazing job and he was so kindly social I have him $20, but he definitely deserved more. Next time I need a cut, I will be making an appointment with Johnny. read more

I've been going here for more than 3 years. Johnny hooks me up every time! If you want an authentic barbershop experience, look no further. Outstanding haircuts and the best price in town. read more

Campus barber is by far my favorite place to get my haircut. Not only do they do an excellent job, they also provide you with interesting conversation the barbers really know how to relate to students. If you go here, either make an appointment or go earlier in the morning, and you will not have to wait at all. read more

I had been going to Campus Barbers for 40 years until last week when I walked in and all the barbers were working without masks. Now I'm looking for a different barber that respects health guidelines. read more

Great cut, good conversation, I walked in and had no wait, out in 15. Fair price, definitely going back

If you want your barber rush through your haircut, use a used razor to shave around your neck then this place is for you.

I always get my haircut with Johnny and he is the man! Super cool guy and whenever I'm at school I am sure to go to him. Great place with character and you can't beat the prices. Awesome place! read more

Poorly run. You can call ahead and make an appointment but does that really matter? No. Half of the time you'll end up sitting there an extra half hour waiting because they over booked. Did you make an appointment and got in right away? Well if it's crowded expect your haircut to be rushed and minimal effort put in. Honestly, what is the point of having five barber chairs when there are only ever three working? The haircuts given when the establishment is not busy are fine but do not expect anything amazing. Along with all of this the establishment just feels dirty and not well kept. The only reason they stay open is because of the location and giving cheap haircuts. If you care about your time and hair I would not bother coming here. read more

Reasonable cut at a good price. I always go here without appointment for the element of surprise (short-ish means different things in different chairs). Always a good chat, and usually a good cut. Totally worth my $15! These days I'm in town only rarely, but I'll always grow some so that I can stop by here. read more

I don't know why I never went there for haircuts my first three years of undergrad. Jeff did a great job - quick and cheap. Go there now!

On my last visit, I thought I had made an appointment with John, who I've had before and does a good job. When I got there, I was told my appointment was with Jeff. I didn't say anything, but my haircut wasn't as good and Jeff made me a little uncomfortable. With that and the cleanliness of the place, it seems to be disorganized and poorly managed. read more

Great place to get a haircut, ALEX is the man best barber ever, would recommend going to him if you are new and looking to try this place

These guys are terrible. They take reservations and appointments, but do not honor them. They make you wait upwards of 20 minutes after your appointment time. If you call them, more often then not they rudely hang up on you. There haircuts are lousy. They do not give you what you ask for and cut your hair as if you are a 1940's greaser. They do not converse with you and when they do, they talk about irrelevant, god knows what topics. I have gotten a few haircuts here each time with a different barber and each one has screwed up my hair so badly that I had to wear a hat until my hair grew back. I would never get another haircut here. There are other barbers on campus and I recommend them over campus barbers. I truly cannot believe that such a lousy company is still in business. The barbers are old, out of style, and need to leave the 19th century and learn modern style. read more
