The store itself is nice and clean. I went in on a Sunday right before they closed and they still had a great selection of fruits and veggies. They also have some fun cheeses and dips to choose from in the back. I love these types of farmers markets because they're really inexpensive and great quality produce. I also loved their barrel of pickles, you can never find those anymore and they're always the best. I left with a full bag of produce and spent less than 20 bucks! They also have a flower section with fresh bouquets and even someone there to arrange one for you. Overall, a great stop when you need some fresh fruits and veggies.

Think of Whole Foods, much less busy, not a whole lot of rushing (which is a good thing) and you take your time to browse around the smaller store. Farmers Produce (459 E. Railway Avenue, Paterson, NJ) is my go-to store for such basic staples as…read more milk, butter, juice, tomatoes, onions, scallions, parsley, and lettuce. Generally speaking, no one in the area can beat their prices on those items. A half-gallon of Lactaid milk will cost me just $2.99 at this store. If I go to any other store in the area, I'll pay a dollar or two more for that same half-gallon. The other day I picked up a large, 11-ounce package of organic baby arugula for just $1.99. And when I got to the check-out counter, the gal, Paola (seen in one of the photos I'll post), noticed that some of the arugula at the bottom of the package appeared to be damp or wilted; she said, "Let me get you a better pack," and went in the back and got me a better one. I can't imagine a checker at a big chain supermarket doing anything like that. But it's a small store, they know their customers, and they treat them with care. When I got home one recent hot summer day and found that the half-gallon of milk I'd bought from the store was beginning to turn bad, I took it back to the store and asked if I could get a replacement. They were happy to accommodate me, even though I did not have a receipt. I value that kind of service. And on any given day, there are some real bargains to be found--inside the store or out in front of it. They always have bags of fruits and veggies that--because they're slightly imperfect or a day or two old--are marked down to just one dollar. I'll buy a dollar bag of apples and they're fine. It is a small store. They certainly don't have everything. And not everything is a bargain. But you can always find some real bargains among the fruits and veggies they sell here. Lines at the check-out counter or short, and the workers are helpful and friendly.

New meal prep spot that gives you bang for your buck!…read more My last meal prep guy raised his prices as high as the price of a tank of gas. So I heard about Corrado's and how they made their own meals... called, Power Meals. For the price of one meal you are getting a lot of food! The menu gives you the option for 1 protein and 2 sides. You can add extra's, but my suggestion is don't get too crazy because the price goes higher and it would not be beneficial. The container is big enough that you can cut the portion into half and get two meals out of it. And, for the price of $9 (with tax) that's a truly great deal. FYI: They need 48 hours to make your order so place it accordingly before picking up.
