We were referred to Campbell Motor Center, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. On a Thursday evening, we spoke with Anthony, who went out of his way to get us scheduled for the very next morning. That alone was impressive, considering the dealership couldn't get us in anytime soon. By Friday, the car was in, serviced, and completely finished within about four hours. The pricing was about one-third of what Mercedes-Benz of Stevens Creek quoted us, without sacrificing quality or professionalism. What really stood out was the level of service. Anthony handled everything personally, from communication to updates. Every question we had was answered clearly, and we always knew what was going on with the car. No pressure, no upselling, just honest and efficient service. With over 30 years of experience in customer service and running a business myself, I don't give this kind of feedback lightly. This is an A++ operation. Going forward, every vehicle we own outside of dealership warranty will be serviced here. Highly recommend. Frank Saunders

It's been a few years since I had work done at this shop but I did start and not finish this…read morereview, so am guilty of procrastinating! I'd been to 2 other shops with my 94 Camry trying to get the problem resolved. Both of those shops got my car in an accident while test driving it. I ended up losing out at both places, besides neither one could fix the computer problem and kept getting computers from junk yards. Finally after the long diagnosis, over 2 hours at Rensons, they figured what it needed. A NEW computer, which worked fine, and if I'd only known that's what it needed, I would never have gone to the awful places I chose before Rensons. They charged more than I expected to diagnose the problem, it was in the hundreds, and then the computer out the door price was close to 2k. But it came with a guarantee, and a smile and honesty. I would choose Rensons if you want knowledge and can afford to go there? Not cheap, not even really reasonable, but they fixed my car, so got to give credit where it's due. Giving 4 star because it cost more to diagnose than 1 hour, which shouldn't have happened. Over $300 just for a diagnosis. The place is clean and they have a decent waiting room area. I might go back there, but it would depend on price. They do good work, and they tried to fix the door which had been dented and stuck closed, besides the other 2nd place also messed up the glove box, so they realigned it and it looks perfect. They really did a good job on what was handed to them.

I bring all my cars here for regular maintenance like oil changes, brake fluids, differential fluid and coolant fluids maintenance, brake pad and rotor replacements. They've also handled bigger repairs such as an axle seal leak, valve cover gasket leak, and fixing warped rotors. Everything has always been done right the first time. What really sets this place apart is that Anthony does most of the work himself, and after the job is done, you hear directly from him about what was done and why. He's very polite and easy to talk to, and you never feel like you're being ripped off. The quality is as good as--or better than--the dealership, using original Toyota parts, but without dealership prices. No middleman, no customer service rep--just straight answers from the person actually working on your car. He also documents major repairs with before-and-after photos and will even check in a day or two later to make sure everything's driving well. Most importantly, they're honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I've never had an issue in the 10+ years I've been coming here. If you're looking for a shop you can actually trust, I highly recommend TLS Auto Service.

We had to take our Prius in for a smog check (why though, it's a Prius!) and I called in to to make an appointment, which was easy to do. When we arrived, they told us where to position our car, asked for the DMV paperwork, and quickly went about performing the smog check. They performed it quickly, did it for a transparent fixed price (some places charge more for certain cars, including Prius's, which seems strange), and got us on our away quickly. The price was reasonable too - about $60 all in. They pointed us to some chairs where we could sit and wait while they did the test - nothing fancy, but it's good to have an option to sit. For whatever reason, smog checks are something I kind of dread, even though it's always painless. Having a local place that can do this quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price is always worth calling out.

This place is a class act. They are polite and professional, and even offer access to a web site showing the car being serviced in real time! This place had a different name before the pandemic (maybe longer ago). I went there one time when…read moreit had that name that included the word "Toyota" in it. I brought my car there for some kind of service, I don't remember what. I didn't go back there because of the prices. Years later, I found a mechanic that I like, but that mechanic is 7 miles from me, so I had been going to different places for oil changes and going to the mechanic for repairs. Long story short, my oil change light came on and I wasn't able to go to my regular oil change place due to an unscheduled closure. I pulled over and looked at reviews. This shop's sister shop had a five-star review and was pretty close to where I was. They had no available appointments, but the manager directed me to this one, which I was able to get an appointment the next day. The clerk told me the oil change also included an inspection. About an hour later, I get a text wanting approval for another $2,200. I knew that my mechanic would charge just over half for the brakes alone, so I declined the other services. That's where it got crazy. I pick my car, and the check engine light and two other lights were on. They hadn't been on when I dropped off the car. When I called it in, the mechanic (or clerk, I'm not sure which) kept repeating "You declined additional services." Now, I'm old enough and competent enough to have changed my oil and even replaced the spark plugs and cables on cars back in the day, so I knew there was absolutely no reason at all that an oil change would cause the check engine light to go on. Essentially, they introduced a problem that didn't exist when I brought it in. So, I called my mechanic and asked whether there might be a reason for the light to have been triggered. He said that it could be triggered if the hoses are not reconnected when they inspect the air filters. That, in fact, was the problem. This leaves me with two possible outcomes, neither of which is good: either they deliberately left the hoses disconnected so that I'd panic and buy the other services or they were careless. I made an appointment with my mechanic, who looked over Stress Free's estimate and then inspected my car. His initial comment was "These guys are expensive as hell," and pointed out one place where Stress Free was going to charge me for labour for a service that would have been part of another of the services. Long story short, I'm having the repair done by my mechanic for less than $1,000.
