We had a horrible experience while trying to find our annual Christmas tree given the birth of our son earlier this year. We arrived on their first opening day this season very excited to buy a real tree. There was ZERO customer service when husband and I were trying to inquire about tree selection or delivery process. There were plenty of people at the cashier booth and lot. All seemed eager to NOT help. It was painfully obvious that the temp seasonal staff just wanted to do the bare minimum and get their hourly pay. We waited 15-30 minutes in line just to get a run around with staff members on tree selection. This was even before we were able to pay the cashier the $120 worth of tree we picked out. We then asked about a portapotty on the lot in which the cashier answered "I don't know, I just got here." Seriously, find another Christmas tree lot for your annual Christmas tree or buy an artificial tree to save yourself from this sour experience. I took the time to send an email on our horrible experience on their website. No human response at all. They don't care.

I had such a wonderful experience at Home Depot and really wanted to recognize two employees,…read moreRobert and Bobby. I had purchased 12 large bags of mulch from the Garden Center and asked if I could pull my car around to make loading everything a little easier. As I was walking out, Robert wished me a good day, and I explained that I was going to move my car over to the mulch and showed him my receipt so he knew I had already purchased the 12 bags. Without hesitation, Robert said, "Oh my gosh, not a problem. Let me help you. I'll meet you over there." He met me by the mulch and immediately started loading the bags into my car. Shortly after, Bobby came over and started helping too. Both of them told me they had it handled and that I didn't need to help. Those bags are big and heavy, and what could have been a very difficult task for me ended up being so much easier because of their kindness. Robert and Bobby were incredibly helpful, generous, and true gentlemen. Customer service like this deserves to be recognized. Thank you so much, Robert and Bobby, for going out of your way to help me. I truly appreciated it and hope Home Depot knows what wonderful employees they have!

The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Sometimes it takes a bit to track someone down. They have everything you want and more. If they don't have it in stock, it can be shipped to your house or the store for no fee within a reasonable amount of time. Usually, everything is in stock when I need it. I've also used to shop online and free curbside pickup. It's hit or miss; either they bring it out quickly or they don't, and you have to call the store. Being a HD cc holder has its perks too. I am always getting discount coupons mailed to me or 0% financing offers. They come in handy when it's a large project.

Unfortunately, we lived in Encinitas so the climate didn't allow the avocado to thrive but she loved getting Asian/Hawaiian plants, and fruits from this nursery. The scene that will greet you is a dirt path and two-sided parking spaces. Try them, very wooded and dense, like you are in the forest, which I loved since I am from back East and we have huge trees and green wooded areas. The staff are very knowledgeable and the value is great. If your plant doesn't grow, call them, and they guide you or replace the plant. I love this place. If I had a house, I would be here for my roses and fruit plants.

There's a fruit tasting table and I remember the first time I came in and tasted some fruit I'd never even heard of before. If you're a foodie or if you enjoy rare or tropical fruit or even if you're a fan of botanical gardens, this place is amazing It's a mom and pop place (actually just a pop place cause I think the owner Steve who started it still runs it by himself). The sign said they have been here since the 80s. Anyway because it's a small nursery and open 7 days a week, it's a good idea to call if you're planning to make a long journey to visit just to make sure they haven't stepped out. It's usually fine but I see people on other reviews have come in from far away without calling and it's just a good idea to call if it's a mom and pop nursery and you have a long drive. My favorite fruit was white sapote, cherimoya, the bazillions of types of guavas they have, ice cream bean was delicious, and I never knew palms have delicious fruit (what????). I come about twice a year from San Diego and as San Diego nurseries go, this place is in a league of its own. I even just like walking around in there to relax cause it's almost like a fruit botanical garden. And some of the small stuff is very affordable Highly recommend if you have a few hours free to explore this place. It's a great nursery -- kinda like the Garden of Eden!
