When we first contacted Sparkle Pools, (Oct) it was…read morebecause the previous owner had left tour pool a mess, it is a salt water pool and we had a regular pool before but never a salt one. A tech from Sparkle pools came out and stated that the salt levels were extremely low and that we should add 3 bags of salt to the pool due to the size and that in 6 months (Apr) add three more as that would cover the summer months. Tech was extremely helpful no issues there. Because of this We hired them to clean our pool over the winter as we did not close it being salt water. Nov and Dec were fine then January is were it started to go down hill. They completely skipped Jan cleaning and we had to reach out to them in late Feb because we had not heard from them and wanted to see if they were still coming coming. We got a text that stated that they would be there after we had reached out, got an invoice for the bill but nothing about what was done to the pool or what was needed. In March they showed up later in the month like they had forgotten us again, however we had to reach out again this month(Apr) because we hadn't heard anything. We added the three bags of Salt mid April because it had been 6 months and that was what the Tech had originally told us. Once again all we got was a text saying that they were sending a tech out to service the pool. We got an email from the company asking for a review, I guess my wife clicked the link in the email and did the google review about the communication from the company. That's when I got a call from who I guess is the owner. He stated that our salt levels were too high, I told him that I had recently added the salt because that is what his original tech told me back in Oct to do in April and because there was never any communication other then the text that they were coming, I was following the last instructions that I had gotten. Then the guy said "Well because your wife left a review, we are just not going to service your pool anymore." I told him I did not know of the review but that we never have any communication and that is probably what the review was about and if you don't want honest reviews then why send out and email for them. He said "we send an invoice of what we do to your pool every time" I told him that there is never anything on the invoice of what we should do or what was done, and when we had a pool guy before moving here, they would let us know what was done and what needed to be done on our end and we never got that from this company. But I would except that we need to find another pool company. The techs are good but the communication is terrible and if you can't take a review and fix the issues, then maybe don't ask for a review and or maybe actually follow up with your customers after each service to see what needs to be done.

But dont worry, they have parking on lockdown!! Management staff shows zero accountability, empathy, follow up, or any customer service. They are quick to try and point out what the residents are not doing instead of ownership of of ongoing issues. They will gaslight you and over talk you until you become frustrated. The staff is a walking case study of how not to treat paying tennant! When their attitude is called out the manager stated that she "matches" energy. This is NOT a one off issue, read the myriad of reviews left by myself (current tennant) and previous tennants.

The pools are hardly ever open or clean. Laundry facilities are usually dirty with machines out of order. Management speaks to you with no tact or respect. I have been spoken over, yelled at, etc. This is probably my biggest complaint. I realize it's an older complex, which does help keep rent lower. However, there is never any excuse for someone in a management position to be speaking so hatefully to residents. Especially residents who are always on time with rent payments. Most apartments are outdated. I have had to have doors, windows, trim, etc. replaced because they do not seem to find it important enough to repair when you sign your lease. Overall, it's an affordable place to live with a good location. But please don't be fooled by the photos you see online.

Neither of the 2 showers worked and the guy that was just running to the store to get a part never showed up again. At the time I moved in rent was advertised as $849 for the deluxe which should have been hardwood somehow we ended up with $1044 and nasty carpet that smelled like pee and was full of fur. The place was infested with bugs coming from the neighbors and even though they would spray every couple months it did nothing. Maintenance was supposed to come one day between 1:30-4:00 and instead came in at 11am while I was home alone and in the shower without knocking. (I had a ring camera on the door) There were 2 fires while I lived there including one that completely destroyed the apartment across from me which they have just let sit since it happened and homeless people started staying there. Someone tried to break in at 2am and when I brought it to the attention of the management with the ring camera footage they said they would get back to me and never did. We had a whole SWAT team almost bust down my door looking for some random person. When we asked why they would do that when the person they were looking for wasn't ever on the lease as a current or previous resident they said "oh well you never know". Came home from work one day and my stairs were just missing they were doing some maintenance but didn't say anything so they just completely removed the stairs. Jo in the office was usually nice however the other one I think her name was Stephanie was always hateful and trying to cause problems instead of fixing any of the several problems. Pool and laundry machine where broken more than they were working. Never any parking and lots of car break ins. The money you would save is no where near worth the headache and straight up craziness you get living there.

The apartment didn't even fix the issue, just painted over the damage. Asked for reimbursement since we couldn't stay in our complex, but was met with no help and the apartment claiming we could have stayed there even though our ceiling was falling through in our master bedroom and bathroom. Once they came and "fixed" our complex they damaged a picture that we had and broke our TV. (Would not reimburse for that either) Worst place to live in East Tennessee. I would not recommend anyone live here. There are way better options in the West Knoxville area that are around the same price or cheaper that actually take care of their residents. You will not find your home here.

One of them had their vehicle towed and had a permit in their windshield! It was an exorbitant cost to retrieve it from the tow company. They have a lot of bugs in their apartments. They do very little maintenance. They had better be careful as all of the new apartments being built are beautiful and cost alot less per month to rent. The new places actually paint apartment numbers on the spaces for less confusion. We are convinced that they get a kick back from the tow company. What a racket! Don't rent here!
