It doesn't matter if you book out the entire property; everything shuts down at 10:30 PM. They turn off all the lights, and everyone is expected to be in their rooms like children. Oh and also you have someone sleeping there with you watching the cameras all night like weirdo's! Kim is, by far, the worst manager I've ever dealt with. During the breakfast portion of the wedding, we were all forced to walk in a single-file line, and if you didn't, you got in trouble . She even grabbed my Paw Paw by the shoulder and redirected him, then had the nerve to say, "You Louisiana folks can't listen." You can't breathe without someone watching over you the entire time. I honestly feel bad for the rest of the staff because they were amazing especially Michael. He's an absolute angel. But I can't say the same for the older woman, Kim. constantly looking for ways to squeeze more money out of us. She should really consider a different line of work because she ran all of us out of there!

Officially the I-20 Eastbound Greene County Rest Area (Google again makes up a different name…read moreentirely) and a separate location from its Westbound counterpart. this rest area is not too different from the rest of Alabama's interstate rest areas except for the parking lots layout; trucks up front cars around the other side... the spacious grounds and modest structures are well kept and tidy and a real live security officer is typically present if not always visible, might be doing rounds or some other official duty. nice place to stop for a nap from late fall to early spring before the heat and bugs settle in.

Checked in and my first room the ac was not working and it was a room facing the evening sun and when I tell you it was hot it was hot. Maintenance came and they had to eventually changed my room. I was comped parking and got breakfast vouchers for my inconvenience. The room was clean and so was the bathroom, there was no extra toilet paper only the roll that was on the holder, and that roll wasn't new. I wish there was a microwave in the room instead of by the elevator. Over all the front desk staff was amazing. I will be staying there again. Location is great.

The front desk employees were amazing and showed us genuine Southern hospitality. They greeted us warmly every single time we entered or left the hotel, which made us feel truly welcome. Each floor also has an adorable little area stocked with ice, coffee, water, and a microwave- a thoughtful and convenient touch. One thing to know is that on-site parking is very limited. The hotel offers valet parking through a third party, or you can park overnight in the municipal lot across the street. However, you must move your car by 10 a.m., when the lot begins charging. The bathrooms are like ones from the 80's, tiny. Here are few more lovelies we encountered. We didn't have any washcloths the first night. We only had decaf coffee in the room. The refrigerator was warm. The bathroom floors had pubes piled up in the corners. The carpets are stained. The bed creaked any time you moved. The thermostat with separate fan control was original to 1987 and it was either 90 or 55 degrees in the room. Every single light bulb in the room was a different Kelvin temperature. Our view outside from our window was of the unkept dumpster area. No free nasty breakfast either! No coffee area in the lobby to make up for the decaf bs. The front staff was tepid at best. Elevators are even sketchy. Will not stay again unless it's free. Then I need to weigh my options before making a final decision even then. No Noise....even though you're right next to 2 bridged roads that make horrible racket, you hear nothing. There is a top floor bar and grill, with room service and Beautiful seating and atmosphere in the lobby. Fabulous breakfast that fueled us for the entire days of shopping and moving our college student. The waffle was awesome, eggs were delicious and not powdered eggs, sausage patties, biscuits, gravy were excellent and far better than I expected. They also had fruit , oatmeal, pastries and some other items . Definitely a fabulous breakfast to start the day !
