We had perfect weather and stunning views of rock formations, mini caves, a shipwreck, and a beautiful sunset. The staff was well organized and equipment clean and well-maintained. The small group size and tandem kayaks made it feel personal and relaxed. It's great for all experience levels and you get a wet bag to store your things. And if you forgot something, they'll have it! Our guide, B-Money, was energetic and knowledgeable about kayaking, geology, and the local area, and gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and where to get a good pasty--which we followed and loved! Weather forecast was threatening the days leading up to our visit so I contacted Captain Mark and he called me right back and came up with a plan. But, not to worry, the storms shifted and we were able to take our tour. The boat is in great condition and the pricing is great! It was just my husband and two children and myself on a 30 ft pontoon. We could have stayed all day we enjoyed it so much. Captain Bill knew right where to take us for the best viewing and photos. We even went over to Grand Island and really enjoyed that too. I highly reccomend Lake Superior Boat Tours. Don't hesitate, just book it! You won't regret it.

Pros - Super quaint. Everything is antique-like, from the room decor settings to the breakfast china. Not in an old way however. It felt like we were in an English or French B&B. - We stayed in the Suite room, which had a large sitting room and old claw-foot bathtub. Would recommend that if it's available, but all the rooms looked nice. - Lots of lounging room around the house... sunroom, library, etc. - Location is great. 1 hour to Munising, Grand Marais, St Ignace, etc. Great for day tripping. - Breakfast is really good. The hosts are great. Prices are reasonable (noted on their website). The whole house and grounds are super pretty. Potential Cons - No Wifi at the moment, and AT&T coverage is bad. But you're in the UP, you didn't come here to look at your laptop, did you? - They don't take CCs, so bring cash or check to pay. - Mostly 2-prong outlets, so bring a converter if you need it. Would absolutely recommend. We'd rebook in an instant on our next trip there.

The owners told us about 13 different waterfalls in the area, and Pictured Rocks coastline which is gorgeous! We had a blast fishing and hanging out at Kemosabe and will definitely go back! The cabins have full kitchens right down to spices and coffee! When we arrived, there was fresh-baked cookies waiting for us that were awesome! They offer dinner home-made and delivered to your cabin---we had lasagna and loved not having to worry about dinner one night. This was homey and so cool! You rock Kemosabe!
