For over seven decades Camp Marymount has provided the Nashville Diocese and families from all over the world a summer camp experience filled with community, faith, fun and simplicity on 340 acres of beautiful middle Tennessee land.
Offering four overnight summer sessions - two for girls, and two for boys - to rising 1st graders thru rising 11th graders, Camp Marymount creates an atmosphere where a child can be him or herself without the pressures the outside world or the distractions of technology. Camp Marymount is dedicated to safety and is accredited by the American Camp Association meeting or exceeding over 300 industry-accepted and government-recognized standards. We are also dedicated to having fun providing opportunities to experience traditional camp activities like horseback riding, nature, arts and crafts, gardening, archery, riflery, swimming and lots more.

History
Established in 1939.
Camp Marymount was established in 1939 originally under the name of Camp Happy Hollow located in Joelton, Tennessee as a Catholic residential camp owned by the Diocese of Nashville. In 1945 Reverend Monsignor George W. Rohling purchased 147 acres in Fairview, TN, to provide more space and a better environment for campers. The new camp was named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and has been the home of Camp Marymount ever since. A small lodge, an infirmary, nine cabins, and an outdoor chapel, that was Camp Marymount when we first opened our screened doors at the current location the summer of 1946. In 1948, Senior Camp was added. 1951 brought the dedication of St. Anthony's Chapel. In 1959 Marymount had 138 campers and 22 counselors. Fast forward to 2008 when a new dining hall, offices, meeting rooms, winterized staff cabins, and a new chapel were added to Camp opening it up on a year round basis. Meet the Manager: Allee D.
She is the Program Director at Camp Marymount. She started her camp career as a camper at age 10. She was a camper for six years and then worked for camp as a CIT, counselor, and head counselor of senior camp for six years. She moved from New Orleans, La to Nashville to complete her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and accepted the position at camp at that time. She loves showing camp to others who have never seen it, so they can understand why everyone loves it the way she does.
