Great live music venue in the heart of Cool Springs. Plenty of seating and lots of good food options nearby.

We are constantly amazed at what they can do with the very small space! Kudos to the Stage and props folks! There are no reserved seats but every seat is close to the stage. A line usually forms out front ahead of time and part of the fun is meeting your fellow theater patrons. Every production we have seen has been first rate. They don't shy away from any genres either, musicals, comedies, drama, you name it! The talent that is active in this area is outstanding. After each performance, there is also an opportunity to meet, greet and thank the cast members out front of the theater. Last weekend, we were able to experience Guys and Dolls, a classic musical theater production and they did an incredible job bringing it to the "small stage". Well acted, well performed, the music was spot on and a big shoutout to the Costumer - those "period" clothes were perfect, right down to the broaches and earrings worn by the ladies. If you want to take in a show, you need to contact them early. Given the small space in the theater and the large number of season ticket holders, there aren't usually many available seats. Even better, become a season ticket holder (like we did!) and you won't regret it!

The actors were very talented, the set was perfect, and the intimate venue made for a personable and welcoming experience. This was our first time attending a Pull-Tight Players production and now we're already excited about attending the next show! (For what it's worth, I really enjoy plays but my husband isn't typically a big fan...yet we both had a blast.) Don't miss this gem!

As others have mentioned the instructors are often yelling and show lack of care for young performers/their skills/feelings (they don't even bother learning kids' names and rather address them by the roles they are playing). Forget supportive and understanding environment- not here! The audition process is a joke and is not based on kids abilities. If your kid is looking to learn new skills/become more confident that's not a place for you either! Very disappointing experience overall!

Therefore, we cannot recommend that other parents entrust their children or their family's money to this organization. When my wife voiced our concerns after our daughter was truly reluctant to continue at the camp after just two days, we received the reply posted below from Sondra, which placed the blame back on our child. Suffice it to say, we were very disappointed. And we were rather incensed that the seemingly admitted/acknowledged loud tone of voice repeatedly directed towards our child (as well as the child of family friends' who also signed up to be a student/camper) was excused away as being necessary to "project our voices to be heard" to "move 40 kids on a stage". Really? Seriously? It's not a license to yell at kids. We were looking for a fun, fulfilling, challenging event for our daughter to continue her growth during the summer break. Such was not our experience with Act Too. EMAIL REPLY DATED July 10, 2024: Thank you for the email and we are sorry that [REDACTED] will not be completing the week with us. Honestly, in 22 years of doing these camps, we have never had anyone complain about our space. We give the kids several breaks, but we are a training program and we do dance them as well. The floors we have are dance floors and have a bounce to them to prevent injuries. I'm sorry to hear that she was hurting. Ms. Erica is an excellent teacher and works very hard at having the children feel successful. I'm sorry to hear the she was scared of Ms. Erica- needless to say we are not in the business of scaring children. We want them to love musical theatre. Camp should be fun, but with a musical theatre camp there is work expected as well. Trying to move around 40 kids on a stage can be challenging and at times we all have to project our voices to be heard. I do hope that you both have a wonderful rest of your summer and she will be missed. Because we had a long waiting list for this camp and we cannot replace her spot, we will not be able to give you a refund. Best, Sondra

Seats are set up in rows by the stage theater-style and then they have food from Puckett's Grocery available for sale on a side area of the hall with tables and seating. There is also a cash bar which you can purchase beer, wine or mixed drinks. Upon arrival, they have a table setup to get you checked in if you have reserved tickets ($15) or if you are buying door tickets ($10). Considering that there are several artists for each show this is an amazing deal. We had reserved tickets which was nice to not have to worry about seating as our names were already on our seats. The show has co-hosts who will begin the show with a bit of banter and dialogue. In between acts they will interview the artists and allow them to answer several questions. The artists were selling some of their merchandise in the back of the hall as well so you had time to check that out. When we came the artists included Sunny Sweeney, the Rev. Peyton's Band and the Blackfoot Gypsies. If even one of these artists did a solo show they could have easily charged that amount alone. I was amazed that I was able to see Sunny here as she has done shows at the Grand Ole Opry before. She was absolutely incredible! This event is well-organized and I was so surprised at the quality of artists who participate in this radio show. It's a unique and fun experience that anyone would enjoy.

Another great part of Music City Roots is seeing bands that you have never heard of before and becoming fans of them! Tickets are only $10 for general admission and 15 for reserved. But there is not a bad seat in the house. They only have one bar, I think, so the line can get kinda long. But no worries. They also have local restaurant that caters the event, but we have never ate there. This season it is Pucketts. I have heard great things about their food.

From the moment I sank into those ultra-comfortable, spacious reclining chairs, I knew this was going to be something special. The seats are ridiculously plush--plenty of room to stretch out, perfect recline, and enough space that even my tall frame didn't feel cramped. It felt more like lounging in my living room than sitting in a theater, but with a massive screen and incredible sound. As for the movie itself, "A Great Awakening" is an absolute masterpiece. It's powerful, thought-provoking, and emotionally gripping from start to finish. The storytelling is masterful, the performances are outstanding, and the cinematography is breathtaking. I was completely immersed the entire time. It left me inspired, moved, and genuinely uplifted--exactly what a great film should do. The theater in Franklin gets everything right: clean facilities, friendly staff, and those heavenly recliners that make the whole experience feel luxurious. I can't recommend this combination enough. If you're anywhere near Franklin, do yourself a favor and see "A Great Awakening" here. You won't just watch a great movie--you'll enjoy it in total comfort.

While this theater isn't perfect, it definitely feels like a step above others in Middle TN. There is plenty of free parking on-site. We purchased our tickets online in advance, and heeded the warning about the movie starting 20 minutes or so after the initial time listed. The staff working concessions was quick and friendly - and they seemed appropriately staffed for a busy night at the movies. Popcorn prices are pretty standard to other theaters, and they do have several other food options if you're interested in more of a meal. Our movie was showing in the Dolby Theater (6), and I feel like this made our experience even better. The seats vibrate and are synced with the action and music throughout the movie, making it a truly immersive event. The recliners are comfortable, if a bit dated. Honestly though, there are still theaters in Nashville that don't have any recliners at all, so an older recliner is still a win in my book. Thankfully, the bathrooms were pretty clean as well.
