I would leave a zero if I could. we used the boarding facility with dog training. We told her a dog…read morehad anxiety and what we really wanted was training everyday. My dog was taken into the boarding area which is nice enough with heated floors. As our dog was walking through the door her little dogs came charging at him (behind fencing) and Started our dog. Then our dog was put into a kennel surrounded by 3 other kennels and my dog freaked out. So we told her this wasn't going to work and she moved him to the other side of the room which was better for him. I wasn't so sure if this was a good place for him and told her if there was any problems to call us ASAP. We called her later to check in and she said he was fine. When we returned after 7 days we found out he had been stressed all week, had diarrhea and she didn't want him back. I asked her if had had any training or any exercise outside and she said NO. I also asked her why she didn't call us because I don't want my dog going through this - she said oh I didn't think you had anyway to take him!!!! when she knew our other dog was home and we wanted Marley to come stay and get training!!! So our dog was locked up for a week - stressed out . I told her I just want my dog now - when I went in the back he was back into the kennel that was in the middle of all the other dogs - the one that he was moved out of before. I'm guessing she didn't want to walk across the room to feed him. My dog is so messed up right now due to this abuse!!!! Btw the 2 times I was there while all the dogs were stressed (due to her little dogs) she never once tried to console any of them!!! I can't imagine her being a good dog trainer seeing how she treated my dog, or the lack of empathy I saw for the other dogs there. I suppose if you just want your dogs locked in a kennel this is the place to go.

I took my pup here to get trained and he has learned a lot! Brenda uses the clicker training which…read moreI think is a great tool. I also think that the individual training classes are extremely beneficial. Since there aren't other dogs around, Brenda's able to focus on just my pup and the things he needs to work on. Side note - You'll need to practice everything you learn on your own to see progress!!!

Hire the Best Dog Trainer in Eugene/Spfld - Julia is an amazing dog whisperer. Our 8 yr old dog had…read moresome bad habits of barking excessively when he heard a noise outside or the doorbell rang. Julia showed us how to change that behavior and be the leader of the pack for our dog. He also was always underfoot (especially in the kitchen) which created tripping hazards. Within the first day of working with Julia our dog had created a new behavior and stayed out of the kitchen. We learned how to teach him how to be out of the kitchen without having to constantly yelling him "get out". Dogs don't understand that language. Julia is a pro at showing you what to do. We've already signed up for another session in a month and plan to attend her drop in play dates with other dogs. Thanks Julia for being so awesome!

Julia has a great teaching skill which is most important in dog training, as you're the one who is…read morereally going to be training your dog (after Julie is done training you). She has helped us with three very different dog personalities and sizes from a feisty/possessive 10 lb chihuahua to a submissive yet reactive 66 lb German Shepherd (and our little 14 lb terrier that just needs a little tweaking here and there). Julia's training style is not a positive/treat rewarding style per say-it's somewhat of a balance of btwn selective positive rewarding for "tricks" or abnormal behaviors (or fears) and quick corrections with tools (either a stick/extension of your arm or a specific style collar/leash that fits the needs of your dog). All 3 of our dogs have a different leash/collar & works perfect for each of them. The type of training is also about the mind set you're in. You don't wait to make corrections when they've done something wrong so many times that you're angry. You need to be focused and serious when you do have to correct. She also got us to kennel train when we're away which we didn't think would work out too well with our two small ones that have free roamed forever, but all three actually do very well and even sleep in there when we're home. Bottom line is if you're looking for a positive reward training only- that's not this. But if you're looking for something that strikes a balance but still allows you a great bond with your dog- then definitely try B the Leader.

I had my dog here over Easter weekend ( this year ) . We did a meet and greet before hand because…read morewe were concerned that we could not take a ten minute tour of the facility .They do not allow anyone in the building. We felt comfortable with the owners after the visit but my radar still flashed red flags . We were new in town and had limited options . Left our dog for three nights and disclosed his floor quirks ( not walking on shiny floors ) . We also prepackaged two meals a day for him . While away for family emergency in Canada we inquired about him and received very little information and short answers . We continued to inquire and got no response ( later were told they didn't see the texts ) . Picked up our dog early . Paid our balance . They gave me his blanket which was covered with vomit or poop we saw later and the prepackaged food that we left . He had been given 3 bags out of the seven . Dog gets home immediately has constipation issues then a week of Diarrhea and vomitting . Vet trip results in diagnosis of severe pancreatitis and a $700 dollar bill. Updating them this week as he got sicker and they said they didn't see any of those texts . This was frustrating enough but my dog was really sick. I left another email at this point and a message through thier website that was received and addressed immediately with an opology . It was then I found out that he was stressed there and that he didn't eat much so treats were given instead . They refunded the stay and we agreed he would not stay there again . He would be more comfortable with in home pet sitting in the future . The one red flag remains for me ..... you cannot go see where your dog is staying . Can't walk through the place . Have never encountered that ever . Pictures on the website don't tell the story . After speaking with friends this is also an issue for them . The reviews are mostly Positive but if you look at the dates of the reviews they are not recent reviews . If you have no problem not knowing what the place is like inside by all means take your dog there . They do seem to like dogs and our dog likes them in the outside driveway visit . For me we regret the decision we make and our dog paid dearly for that. He is finally recovering 3 weeks later .
